Jenny wants outta the tower block

"Mum" an agitated teenage boy shouted as he pounded on a door.

"What it is?" a woman slowly and groggily responded from behind the door.

"Mum, ya brat unplug ma phone AND used up ma credit, I'm sick of 'em" the boy responded.

"Just... Can this wait, just, five more minutes" she requested.

"I got TA in an hour, I said I'd ring..." he chose to open the door and chat with his mother in person "I told Peri I'd call him, his mum said she'd pick me up".

"Use mine" she said as she pointed towards the floor where a Smartphone lay.

"Well that's not really the point" he muttered as he made a reach towards the device.

"I know love" she drew out as she turned her back towards her son and adjusted the sheets.

The boy left the room with his mothers phone in his hands, he swiped through the contacts, stopping at the name 'Jayden'- he dialled 'Jayden'.

The phone on the other end rang...

It then cut off.

The boy instantly redialled, frustration written across his face.

The phone on the other end rang again...

This time, it was answered...

"WHAT MUM!" a male youth yelled.

"It's ya brother" the teen said sternly "I swear lad, ya better stay at girls house, am not in the mood tonight".

"Oh yeah whatever!" the other youth replied.

A slight hand from behind the teen snatched the phone out of his grasp.

"He's got a..." the mother began whilst staring intently at her son before her, before she put the phone to her ear; whilst her gaze remained, she addressed her other child "You've got a girlfriend?"

"Shut up mar" the other responded in a shout that could be heard through the device.

"Who do you think you are telling me to shut up! Who do you think you're speaking to!" she rushed as her fierce gaze move towards the phone and the hand that held it "No, Jordan didn't grass, I heard and took the phone"

"I told ya what he's like" the combat dressed youth stated whilst slightly shaking his head, watching his mother take in an apparently apposing argument.

"I don't care how 'big' ya think you are, ya 14!" she shouted.

"And stupid" the older teen beside her said as his gaze followed her pass by him and back towards her bedroom, she harshly pushed the door shut before adding "So you're a liar too" to the argument.

"Of course he's a liar" Jordan said to himself whilst looking towards the door. His brow rose as he suddenly made the realisation...

"Oh wait! Mum, I need to use that phone" he remembered.

Sometime later...

Laying back in bed, arms extended above her, the mother browsed through image content on her Smartphone; the pictures were that or a beach or beaches in a sunny looking climate with a burnt orange to red sky.

She smirked and nodded her head slightly as she viewed these images. Though her line of thought was suddenly disrupted as the screen turned majority back; a green phone symbol and a red cross below the name Jerry popped above the onyx.

She sighed instantly, within a second...

The phone rang...

She swiped the green phone before bringing the Smartphone to her ear...

"Yeah love" she said in a friendly tone.

"Hi Jen, just on me way back, anything we need?" a male voice asked.

"A conversation when ya get back" she replied in the same tone, though she winced.

"Why, what is it?" the man asked.

"I'll. Tell. You. When. You. Get. Back" she said slowly, emphasising each word.

"Jen you know I hate it when I can't read your mood" he replied with worry in his voice.

"Don't worry, all will be A.OK if like what I have to say" she teased.

"Alright, I'll come straight home" he slowly said with exasperation.

"See ya" she chimed as she hung up her phone.

A man in casual attire gently closed the front door.

"Jenny" he enquired in a raised and hesitant voice.

"UPSTAIRS!" she shouted down.

Laying in bed, Jenny typed away at her mobile phone; inputting characters via the digital keyboard.

The man entered the room.

"Hey, what's up?" he asked warily with a suiting look on his face.

"Wait for it" she replied as she held up her index finger.

"Wait for what, I don't get..."

The phone rang...
