The next day .

As the sun rays peeped in from the window , Arnav's sleep was disturbed where he got up from the bed completely in a messy state . His hair was messed up , his eyes were red and his head was aching as if someone was banging a hammer in it .

He clutched his head in pain .

And that is when Aravind came in with a glass of lime juice .

" Have " said Aravind .

Arnav sighs and has the juice without speaking anything .

" Tablet " said Aravind giving the tablet where Arnav took that also and had it . He then closed his eyes trying to recollect what had happened . It was as if he was blank after he had waken up . But now slowly he was getting all the things that had happened yesterday and with the remembering about the same , tears started rolling from his eyes .

" What happened ?" asked Aravind sitting near him .

" She cheated me " said Arnav with a choking tone where he was holding himself to not break more.

" Come here " said Aravind .

" You come here " said Arnav asking him to come inside the middle of the bed .

Aravind mumbles something and got inside the bed where Arnav laid on his laps and started crying .

Aravind just caressed his hair slowly .

" How could she do this to me Papa. I believed her so much " said Arnav .

" She didn't love you at all . Everything was a facade "said Aravind.

" I didn't know " said Arnav .

" Everyone tried to warn you . But you didn't pay heed Arnav " said Aravind .

" I am sorry . I was wrong and I am wrong " said Arnav .

Aravind just sat silent .

"  And papa , Khushi . I spoke so much bad about her . I thought so much low about her but she still ... she didn't even say a word to anything " said Arnav .

"I warned you Arnav . I kept on saying you to mind but you didn't ever listen .You know , it is not you who got affected to a great extent nor Lavanya . Its just khushi . Only khushi because everyone keeps on blaming her as if she is a scape goat and she always keeps numb " said Aravind .

" I was not in the state to think " said Arnav .

" Okay . Can't your brain register a very small thing . For anything blame her .You kept on ordering her as if she is your servant and insulted the every second you got  chance . For example take day before yesterday itself . That girl was solely doing all the jobs and I just wanted to help her and mistakenly my hands got slit . But what you did blamed her and accused her also very hardly of trying to lure you . Do you know exactly of what your words do mean ? And she having affair with Akash ? Arnav , You know one thing , I called them three here since that day was her birthday . But you ruined it everything . Even that one special day " said Aravind .

Arnav just looked down registering all his words .

" Its fine if you are angry . But she is too a human right ? She needs to be respected right ? She too have a feeling and she isn't a rock to stay till . But she is and that is a different case . I am just saying that you should have seen her at least given a respect which you give to a human . I tried many times to tell you but you , you never listened any of my words"

" I am ashamed very much of your this behavior Arnav and if I was khushi , I would never even have showed my face to you . I would have just beat you with my shoes and would have left showing my attitude . But that girl won't do that . She is so pure Arnav . And you won't understand her importance once she is with you .You would realize once she leaves your life. It would pain you that time and mark my words . This would happen for sure " said Aravind with a glare .

"Papa " muttered Arnav with a little stunned tone .

" At least now stop thinking about lavanya and her betrayal and start thinking about Khushi and how to save your marriage . Think of what to start and how to start . That's all I want to say . Crying or these tears won't even give a percent of support " said Aravind taking Arnav's head and keeping on the pillow .

" You take rest , I would prepare breakfast "said Aravind to Arnav where he got down of the bed and left to the kitchen .

Arnav just stared at Aravind leaving where his eyes were fixed to the door .

Yes papa was too right .He never had treated her as if a basic human being these many days . He just showed his anger to her for every silly thing .He remembered few scenes from the start of their married life .

Khushi with a lot of shiverings came inside the  room of Arnav dressed as a bride . Arnav was seated with a fury and rage in his eyes . He was as if he was waiting for her to attack her rudely .Khushi was holding a glass of milk where she forwarded it to him with a little shiver from her hands .

Arnav saw her forwarding , just pushed the glass away making the glass break into pieces and also the milk over it to be spilled .

Khushi closed her eyes hearing the glass break into pieces .

" What the hell are you doing?" asked Arnav with a loud tone .

Khushi didn't even dare to open her eyes .

"  What do you think. If you marry me , If you cheat and occupy my lavanya's space , you would get me and my wealth . Then you are wrong Khushi . You are wrong . I would never ever give you the right to be my wife and also the right to be my friend . You broke it completely ,mercilessly" said Arnav .

"  And now don't behave as if you are innocent . I had seen your real , cruel face which you are hiding behind this so called innocent face of yours . Just get lost " said Arnav pushing her a little where she fell down on the glass pieces due to the heavy lehanga and his push . 

He then left the room least caring about her ..

" What are you doing ?" asked Arnav with a shout seeing her arranging her few  things on a cupboard which was made vacant to accommodate lavanya's things the next day .

" My things" said Khushi with a stammer .

"This is not your place . And dare you to ever think of sharing this room . Get out along with your things and don't show me your face " said Arnav with a rude tone .

Khushi took her few things and immediately came out of the room .

"  Papa , I would leave to hospital " said Khushi .

" Oh you don't need to work any more . At least you live the benefit of marrying me . Here is the money you wanted " said Arnav  giving her a bundle of 2000 rupees notes .

Khushi just stared at him with teary eyes and got the rupees from his hand .

" Here is the talk . See , I told you na papa . She is for this only . Only this " said Arnav leaving inside to his room .

" Khushi ?" asked Aravind looking at her with a shocked tone .

" What would I get if I argue with him . It would get more big and see once I took he left silently . Let it be the way he want " said Khushi .

" What do you want ?" asked Aravind .

" Some peace . Sometime of being in reality papa " said Khushi .

"  Come here " said Aravind .

Khushi goes to him .

He hugged her .

" Everything would be fine . Don't be like this . Voice out something " said Aravind .

" I won't this time papa . Let it go as the destiny has planned . I am ready to face this " said Khushi ..............

Arnav came out of his thoughts just recalling few incidents . He felt so ashamed of himself for this type of behavior . How did she manage to stay in this type of environment ? He hated himsef now for creating such kind of environment where he had made a girl wrong .

How much insulting words did he use ? Damn him .

Why did he mistrust his friend so much ? How could he not have a little percentage of consideration that she was his friend . His special friend . He was too blinded that he failed to recognize the difference between right and wrong .

Papa was too right  . Neither he nor lavanya is not to be at the worst state . It was just khushi . He was at least blinded in love and had a trust and confidence on his love he had to lavanya but Khushi . She didn't have anything .  No one at her side to have the confidence and also she suffered everything just with a lot of patience .

Why couldn't have she screamed and shouted louder such that some words could atleast have reached his head . Why did she chose to be silent ? Why couldn't she had tried atleast once .

" As if you are going to believe her " mocked his heart immediately after he had a thought on this point .

Arnav closed his eyes in guilty as he knows his heart did spoke the truth . He would have never believed her . Why should she have wasted her energy into explaining them all when no one is ready to believe her  ? Yes , She was hell right and he was hell wrong.

Now , he have to ask her sorry for everything that had happened . He need to apologize to her for sure . He was wrong and he need to rectify his mistake  thought Arnav to himself .

He himself got up from the bed and refreshed . But then too his headache didn't even reduce a bit because of the heavy dose of wine  he had taken .

Aravind had already set the break fast .

" Have this " said Aravind keeping idlis along with green chutney in his plate .

" I don't want. Headache is there " said Arnav .

" Have this . Khushi had already given a medicine to give you after food " said Aravind .

" Khushi ?" asked Arnav a little puzzled  taking the plate from Aravind's house . He got seated next to Aravind in the table .

" She only . She came driving alone with you  . She handled you till you came here . I don't know how she managed to lift you " said Aravind .

Arnav just looked at Aravind blankly .

"  I want to meet her and apologize to her " said  Arnav .

" Okay go " said Aravind .

" Where would she be there ?" asked Arnav .

" At present she is in home . She texted me she reached home before sometime as she had emergency cases the whole night which needs to be monitored " said Aravind .

"  I can't go to Akash's house . He is already angry " said Arnav .

" Visit her today evening . She would be in hospital only " said Aravind .

" Okay "said Arnav .

" Have the food and this medicine " said Aravind keeping the medicine on the table . 

He then started having his food .

Arnav was totally dumb where he then went to his room and got himself locked till evening .

" Akash , Don't disturb me " said Khushi covering herself with the quilt where Akash was pestering her to wake and have lunch .

" Its 3 pm already. Lunch time itself passed . Have the food " said Akash .

"3pm ?" asked Khushi waking up with a fast pace .

 " Yeah " said Akash .

" I have to go to hospital by 4pm. I kept alarm but I didn't know why it didn't ring  " said Khushi getting up from the bed immediately .

" Why ? You came morning only right ?" asked Akash .

" Some works Akash . I need to go for sure . Sorry . I would have something in hospital . Just let me get ready "said Khushi .

" Have your food and go anywhere " said Akash .

" I need to study some files and also write a report " said Khushi with a pout .

" Go bath and come first . I would help you with it by feeding you the food " said Akash .

" You didn't go to hotel ?" asked Khushi .

" No . Go fast " said Akash .

" 5 minutes " said Khushi rushing to the cupboard and took her dress and went inside washroom . Exactly after 5 minutes she came out dressed in a long frock which Akash had gifted her on her birthday .

She just plaited her hair into french plait and sat on the table in the room opening her laptop and few files .

Akash meanwhile came with a tray of food with bowls in it . He just mixed sambhar and rice and feed her .

Khushi just diverted her concentration to Akash where few rolled from her eyes .

" Akash " said Khushi .

" What ?" asked Akash looking at her tears .

" You won't change right ? You would always have this love you are showing to me right ?" asked Khushi .

" Even if I die , I won't stop showing this love towards you " said Akash .

" Please don't leave me Akash " said Khushi looking at him .

"  I won't Khushi" said Akash .

" I don't know what is going to happen next in my life " said Khushi .

" He knows the truth now right ?" asked Akash .

" But then too , he never loved me right ?" asked Khushi .

" Yesterday you were speaking differently and now differently " asked Akash .

" I can't really understand what is really happening inside me Akash . I don't know really . First I wanted to stay with him no matter whatever happens until he myself asks me to go out . I wanted few memories with him and I was ready to use any opportunities that I got ..  I just wanted to be with my love . But now , I feel that since  he came to know the truth , he would realize his wrong deeds and feel pity for me and also guilty for all this . And now when he comes just because he had come to know the truth and is feeling guilty , I cannot accept this . I don't know how to explain you Akash " said Khushi .

" This is because you too have a respect khushi and you are realizing it just now. You are hurt deeply that you are just a option to him instead of lavanya " said Akash .

"  No its not that Akash . My love didn't vanish seeing them both together . It is not that . It is just the thing that he can never love me like he had loved Lavanya . Lavanya would always be in his heart  like how Arnav is in my heart . No one can vanish the first love which you had encountered . It would be printed deep inside your heart . Now , Since he got to know the truth , he with his guilty would try to make up with me and would bind himself to me unwantedly . He have no option than to rectify this . I don't want it to happen like this . I cannot be selfish here to bind himself to him , knowing that he would get hurt for sure .  I thought a lot about this today morning and came to this decision . Your decision to divorce Arnav was right . I want to divorce him and free him from this unwanted relationship " said Khushi

" What about you in all this?" asked Akash .

" I would be fine if there is a person like you standing beside me as a pillar . I was worried just for the fact that now I am left with no relations Akash . I don't have anyone except you , Payal and Papa . If you three left my side , I don't know if I could breathe Akash . Would You stay with me , Please . Till the time I am alive " asked Khushi with teary eyes .

"  I would khushi . You don't worry " said Akash wiping her tears keeping the plate in the table 

" Ready the divorce papers for me please ?" asked Khushi .

" Why are you asking please for every word you speak . It would be ready by today evening . I would send it to your office " said Akash 

" I am sorry , I fought with you a lot last few days " said Khushi .

" Pagal , Just don't too sentimental ?  Have this food now and look the work which is pending " said Akash stuffing food in her mouth.

Khushi swallowed the food by giving a little smile in her face .......................

 At life shine hospital .

Khushi gazed at the divorce papers which was made ready by Akash and sent to her at 6 pm . She got a little teary eyes seeing the paper . But then , She gathered herself and signed the papers . It was all for his well being and happiness .

She would give this papers when she would go today night to return his car she thought to herself . She then concentrated her time in appointments and  visiting patients .

Arnav relucantly came towards the Life Shine hospital with his heart pounding more . He was feeling guilty of even coming to meet her as he had did that much to her and spoke that much to her . If he would have been in her position , he would have never even dared to even see her . He would just have slapped him/her and taken revenge from he/she at any cost . But she , she just made sure he came to home and then also prescribed the medicines which is needed for him .And above all , she took all the complaints he gave when he was drunk . She just handled him with all the patience she had . How could one behave so friendly and caring despite of being deceived by the same person whom he/she is tending ?

How could she be soo stupid ?  he thought . But little he didn't know that it was all her love for him which he had failed to notice till now .

He walked his way inside the hospital where he went to the receptionist .

" Yes sir , How can I help you ?" asked Receptionist .

" Khushi Singh Raizada " said Arnav .

" Oh Dr Khushi singh Raizada sir. Purpose of visit . Because I want to register ?" asked Receptionist .

" I am her ...husb... Friend . I want to meet her " said Arnav with a hesitant tone . He wasn't able to call himself as her husband as he feels he is not worth of it .

"   First floor next to room no 15 . Mam is free now , so you could visit her " said the Receptionist .

Arnav just gave a flat smile and moved upstairs . As he came towards her cabin , He could see her name shining with Chief Doctor , Khushi Singh Raizada . Unknowingly his face crept with a smile seeing his name attached with her's and shining .He tapped the door .

" Come in " said Khushi with a loud tone .

Arnav just closed his eyes and then proceeded inside .

As he entered , she didn't even give a glance at him as she was engrossed in a report in her hand which she was studying by wearing her specs .

" Excuse me give me a second . Please take your seat " said Khushi taking the telephone where she dialed Riya , another doctor .

"Riya , Reports  are not good . Immediate surgery tonight is needed . I am afraid , it would get more critical at the pass of time " said Khushi .

" Yeah explain the situation . Or I would myself come and speak to them once . Tell them if they could arrange the money within this short time , then they could or otherwise hospital would give time for them of 3 months to pay as installments " said Khushi .

" Okay done . Would come soon " said Khushi hanging the call . 

She lifted her head to see her visitor and was shocked totally to see Arnav over there .

" You , here ?" asked Khushi while blinking her eyes . 

" I actually .." said Arnav with a stammering tone .

" How is your health . I hope it is not bad as the medicine helps a lot " said Khushi .

" Yeah it was . Thank you for that " said Arnav .

Khushi gave a light smile .

" Would you have something ?" asked Khushi .

"  No nothing " said Arnav.

" Is everything fine ? What actually brings you here . Any problem?" asked Khushi with a little puzzled tone .

" Khushi.. I actually ..wanted to apo.." said Arnav with a stammer where he was getting struck in between .

Meanwhile at the same time Khushi's phone rings with Akash phoning .

" Sorry " said Khushi showing her phone where Arnav nodes his head . 

" Yes tell me Akash ?" asked Khushi .

" When would you return ?" asked Akash.

" I have a surgery to be performed tonight . Pick me up from night . I would call you when and also prepare dinner for me . I want veg briyani " said Khushi .

" Okay done . All the best for the surgery . Just ping me , I would come "said Akash .

"  Okay " said Khushi cutting the call .

" You were saying something ?" asked Khushi .

" Khushi , whatever happened . I mean to say ..... said Arnav .

" I know what you want to say Arnav . You don't need to tell me anything . You want to take your car and that is why you have came this much distance to meet me right ?  I am sorry I didn't take your prior permission in it . I got an emergency and it was an unavoidable situation . I know I don't hold any position in your life nor on your possessions . I am sorry for that Anyway I was about to bring it  .Anyways , Here is your keys " said Khushi cutting him in between where she took the keys of the car and gave it in his hand .

She cut him in between as she didn't want to hear his apologies . She can never see him in that state before her .

Arnav looked at her with a blank expression as he didn't came for that at all . He wanted to apologize to her for everything .

And her tone of how he had mentioned that She doesn't hold any position in his life or possessions hurted him unknowingly .

"I ..." said Arnav with a stammer not knowing how to express  what he really wanted to speak . He was actually struck up very badly .

"  I actually wanted to speak something to you . I thought to give you a few papers while meeting you tonight . Here are the papers " said Khushi taking a file and passing it to him .

Arnav read and was shocked to the core reading the divorce paper . He had never expected this type of move from her .

" I think it is time to end our relation Arnav . I know you were not interested from the start and I don't want this marriage to be a burden on you  . Let us end it on a good note Arnav " said Khushi .

Arnav looked puzzled . 

" Please sign it and courier me . Take your time to sign by reading each and every clause of it .  I didn't ask for alimony or anything from you . Be sure of it. If not later it could cause problems " said Khushi .

Meanwhile a nurse came rushing inside the Cabin.

" Doctor , Dean is calling you immediately to his cabin " said Nurse .

" Okay , I would go " said Khushi standing up .

Nurse left the cabin.

" I need to go Arnav . So good bye . You are free from this cheap and characterless girl Arnav . All the best for your future  " said Khushi with a chuckle and smile in her face . She then left the cabin .

Arnav was just seated in the same seat completely rooted to the place ........................
