Hamaya's POV

We followed Zach and Grey's trail to the old building from the original park. We looked around. "They took a jeep," Owen said. I huffed.

"Thank you so much for that information Captain Obvious," I said sarcastically.

"What's your problem with me?" Owen snapped causing me to growl.

"For starters, don't snap at me. Secondly, you tried to keep me away from one of my few friends on this godforsaken island. And lastly, you pissed him off and let him out!" I snapped back. I tensed when I heard a loud roar nearby. Owen pulls me and Claire to the other Jeep to hide. I know that roar, it's Snowdrift. "Owen, you have to let me go," I whispered.

"No damn way in hell!" Owen snapped quietly.

"That thing will kill you Hamaya," Claire whispered worriedly. I smiled softly at her and heard Snowdrift tear down part of the roof.

"He could never hurt me, besides, you know what I can do now," I said as I slipped out of our hiding spot and calmly walked over to Snowdrift. He sniffed me and nudged me gently while purring. "Hey Snowy, there's my good boy. You were more worried about me than anything weren't you?" I spoke to him gently.

Snowdrift's POV

I finally found her. She's right, I was more worried about her than anything else. I licked her face and nuzzled her accidentally causing her to fall, but she wasn't mad. She just giggles making me happy. It's music to my ears. I love hearing her laugh and seeing her happy, I don't like it when she's upset. I pull her close to me just as the other two came out of hiding. That Owen guy seemed tense and the woman looked plain terrified. I growl lowly not wanting them to take Hamaya away from me again. When I felt something small touch my neck I look to see Hamaya petting me and I calm down. I lie down and nuzzle her, feeling so much better with her around.

Claire's POV (A/N: sorry for all the POV changes)

I was worried for Hamaya when that thing touched her, but eventually, I saw something in its eyes that I never saw before. The Indominus looked like it was happy she was so close. It looked so tame beside her like it was an overgrown puppy dog. I take a small step forward and it growled at me again causing me to stop, it wasn't angry it was scared. Hamaya stepped forward and touched his nose and it looked down at her and nuzzled her. Hamaya holds her hand out to me and smiles gently. "He won't hurt you, he just needs to know that you won't force me to leave him alone. He hates it when I have to leave him alone." She said gently and calmly. I was about to grab her hand when Owen pulled me back. "That thing is dangerous! You're not seriously going to trust it just because of what Hamaya said, are you?!" Owen snapped and I could have sworn I saw Snowdrift flinch hearing Owen. Hamaya looked furious as she glares at Owen. "Are you kidding me?! You don't have a say in anything! You caused half of this!" She snaps, I don't think I've ever seen her this angry. She honestly scared me with how angry she was and it seemed to scare Owen too. The Indominus gently nudges her back causing her to turn around. When Hamaya turned to him her eyes soften and she kisses his nose and leans on him. Both seemed so calm with each other, it was strange seeing something so large and deadly acting like a lost puppy around someone that is so much smaller and not a threat to it. "Everything's messed up. How are we going to fix this? No doubt Delilah is going to be pissed that you even got out in the first place and she's going to put the blame on me even though it wasn't my fault. I can't have anything bad happen to you Snowy." Hamaya whispered softly to him. I could hear the pain in her voice. I glare at Owen and snap, "I hope you're happy! Do you realize what you've done?" Owen just looked at me shocked and said, "Whose side are you on? Five minutes ago you were terrified of this thing and now you're getting mad and snapping at me?" I cross my arms and argue. "That's not the point. Hamaya is my friend and I care about her. Snowdrift obviously cares about her too and you've hurt them both. You're not even trying to understand them." I then slowly walk over to Hamaya and Snowdrift. Hamaya looks at me with a small smile and holds her hand out to me. I take her hand and she guides me to his neck and helps me rub his neck to show that I'm not going to separate them. When he starts purring it causes me to smile and Hamaya laughs lightly. "He likes it." She said as she walked to his head and pet his nose. I laugh with Hamaya as Snowdrift licks her and nuzzles her causing her to fall again. "You were right, Hamaya. He really is a sweetheart." I admitted and noticed that it made her smile even more. "That may be true but he's still a wild animal, he's just had more human contact." She said as she leans on him causing both of them to relax. I then noticed a mischievous gilt in his eyes and was about to ask Hamaya when she was knocked onto her back and being licked by Snowdrift causing her to laugh. I laugh too seeing how much they made each other happy. Snowdrift continues to lick and nuzzle her knowing that it was tickling her and causing her to laugh. I wish they could have stayed like this forever, but moments like this are fleeting and never last.
