Feelings Of Betrayal

"What is this," Evie asked as she was still in complete shock and just staring at the picture. Carlos just quickly looked at the picture as well as he felt the same way Evie did only worse. All of Carlos' life he had been told he was crazy for remembering a blue haired girl.

Everyone told him that she was just an imaginary friend. He even used to have nightmares about him and the blue haired little girl playing at the park and the blue haired girl being snatched in front of him.

All his life he had that nightmare and all his life he had been told it was just a nightmare and didn't mean anything. "I KNEW I WASN'T CRAZY! I KNEW SHE EXISTED! HOW COULD YOU MAKE ME THINK THAT!" Carlos screamed out to his big sister as he was very upset and feeling betrayed by her.

He had trusted his big sister and she had lied to him his whole life basically. Ava was the only one that Carlos thought would never lie to him and that was clearly proven as wrong now.

"Carlos you know I would never betray you like that! I didn't know! My brain must have blocked it out! You know I would never do this to you. I just found out recently too. And trust me I feel the same way you do about all this," Ava told Carlos trying to get him to understand that she hadn't betrayed him or even Evie. While Carlos was taking this hard Evie was taking this news even harder.

"Is this girl me! Are you, Carlos, and Mal my siblings! Be honest with me right now please Ava right," Evie asked Ava as she was sick of the lies and starting to question her whole life. If she really was that little blue haired girl in the picture which based on the fact that she looks identical to Ava and has blue hair it's pretty much a given that it is her. Then it was obvious that her "mom" is not really her mom and she was lied to for 11 almost 12 years.

It was all starting to make sense though because her "mother" had always been super mean to her and never showed her any love. All she ever cared about was using Evie to get riches and attention by making Evie be in beauty pageants and fashion shows which Evie had told her over and over again she didn't want to do that and wanted to shadow the designers.

She was always forced to anyway no matter how much Evie begged not to. The training for those had been torture and the punishment for losing were even worse. Evie thought that was just how she was, but now that she was starting to realize the truth things were making more sense especially considering Evie was only ever allowed where her "mom" would directly take her.

The reason her "mom" never really loved her or let her out was because she wasn't her mom at all and she had stolen her away from her real family to use as some ticket for money and fame. Evie wasn't even allowed to have friends or go to school until recently where she managed to secretly apply for Auradon Prep and had gotten in secretly.

Ava just started crying as she looked at the two heartbroken children who were both looking at her. Carlos still in betrayal and Evie with a look that said she wanted reassurance that everything would be okay and that she had faith in Ava even though she barely even knew her.

Ava knew her siblings were hurting right now even though she didn't even know. Her brain had completely blocked it from her memory and now she was being accused of betraying her family just like their parents had done. Ava would never betray her family.

Not just that but she hadn't seen her sister since Evie was a little older than Mal and now that she was able to see her again all the emotions just came pouring out. She honestly couldn't believe that Evie was still alive right now.

She may not remember too much about Evie, but she still loves her so much and is so relieved that she's okay. Ava is never letting Evie go ever again or any other family because they have lost their parents all they have is each other now.

"Yeah Evie it's you, but you have to understand that I couldn't remember anything. My brain completely blocked me from remembering. But I'm finally starting to unblock those memories again. Please know that I was completely devastated when you never came back from the park. I completely shut down and I didn't want to stop looking for you. It got to a point where mom and dad threw me in therapy and then after that my mind went blank. I tried to unblock it, because I was having nightmares too like you Carlos and wanted to understand why, but mom and dad wouldn't let me. And Evie I am so happy that you're okay and safe. I swear I'm never letting anything happen to you again," Ava told the two as she wanted them to understand that this was a shock to her too and not something she had been hiding.

"It's okay I trust you Ava. I just this is a lot to take in. Can I um... stay here for a little bit. I don't really feel like going to school right now," Evie told Ava as she was still trying to process everything and didn't really know how to take any of this news.

These were her siblings yet she didn't feel it. She was feeling like a stranger, but not just with them but with herself as well. She suddenly didn't even know who she was anymore. Was she Evie Queen or Evie Jalali? If so who is Evie Jalali supposed to be?

Everything was just a mess and she just needed time to reflect on everything. "Oh um yeah of course if you want to. I don't mind you can take Carlos' bed," Ava told Evie making her nod while Carlos was getting more upset.

"Hey! Why am I not getting to stay here too," Carlos asked in offense that Evie was able to ditch while he still had to go. "When you go 11 almost 12 years being kidnapped and living with a different family for pretty much your whole life having no clue who your real family is then you may ditch school like Evie is," Ava told Carlos as she didn't get why he was acting like this when Evie had just been told her whole life was basically a lie.

Carlos was about to send Ava a comeback when there was screaming coming from the room causing both Ava and Carlos to drop everything as they ran to the other room where they found Mal screaming at the top of her lungs while Evie was trying to calm her down.

"Mal what happened!" Ava quickly asked the toddler who ran to her as she hugged onto her and started crying. "Meanie!" The small girl screamed out as she pointed to Evie. "Evie is a meanie?" Ava asked the toddler trying to understand if she had heard that right but Mal just nodded.

"What did Evie do," Carlos asked the small girl who just continued to cry. "I threw her pacifier out. I wasn't trying to do anything. I just didn't think she should have one at this age. I can get her a new one though," Evie quickly told the two as she hadn't meant to upset the toddler and didn't want to get kicked out when she just found her siblings again.

Evie was shocked though when instead of getting angry like she had thought would happen Ava just laughed as she hugged her tightly.

"Oh my gosh! I seriously love you right now! I've been trying forever to get her off the pacifier! Thank you! Okay you are definitely going to make the perfect addition to this family." Ava told Evie making her smile and blush as she had never felt this much appreciation and love before.

"You're welcome but now I feel bad. I don't want my baby sister to hate me. Could I take Mal to the store and get her something," Evie asked Ava who just sighed as she did like the idea but also didn't like the idea of letting Evie and Mal go by themselves. If she lost Evie again or Mal she would never forgive herself especially since she just got Evie back.

"Um I don't know. I'm worried what if something happens again," Ava told Evie who just gave her a small smile. "It won't. We have our phones now and you can track us. We won't be gone long please and we'll take Carlos with us. Safety in numbers right," Evie told Ava who just looked at the three kids who were giving her pleading looks.

Ava really didn't want to do this, but she did need to get some work done and Mal did deserve a prize for giving up the pacifier. "Okay fine, but stay together and do not come back without all three of you. Please be safe okay I really can't lose any of you again," Ava told the three kids making them nod as they hugged her.

"Okay great come on Mally let's go to the store!" Carlos told his baby sister making her giggle as Carlos picked her up and Evie followed after them.

Ava just hesitantly watched the three making sure they were safe before she sat down at her work area and started designing again as she had a huge fashion show coming up and she needed this to go well if she was going to get that internship which would help her start her career and provide for her siblings who needed her.
