Castiel Hates Dean Winchester
Castiel's POV
When most people avoid someone, they just refuse to talk, to pretend they're not even aware of the person's presence. Usually, if someone tries hard enough, they'll snap, wether it be yelling or hitting the person, but not Castiel.
He's a pro at avoiding.
He could not only ignore Dean's presence, he could make it seem like he never heard of him in the first place. When Dean tried to talk to him, he just continued on like he never heard him in the first place. When he got to the dorm, he went to directly to bed, even when Dean climbed on top of him at one point, he just closed his eyes, pretending to sleep until the hunter went away.
After the third day, Dean was frustrated to say the least. So frustrated in fact, that one day, during class, he iniciated his plan.
Castiel was in his architecture class when he heard the door slam open, looking up to see Dean stalking in with a dark look on his face. Castiel felt his heart sink, feeling the determination rolling off of the hunter. This wasn't going to end well for the angel.
"Castiel Novak! Stop avoiding me! Just because we made out one time doesn't mean that you can start ignoring me!" Dean spat at the angel, who was currently turning bright red. Murmurs erupted from the other students, but Dean barely seemed to notice, who was glaring at Castiel.
"I didn't know Dean was gay." One girl whispered, pursing her lips like she was told disappointing news. The hunter's glare turned to her, growling under his breath.
"Don't tell me you never made out with your friend on accident." Dean huffed, and the girl just raised one eyebrow in surprise.
"Honestly, no, I hadn't." The girl replied, and Dean blushed but refused to let up on his glaring. He stalked over, grabbing Castiel by the wrist and dragging him towards the door, pausing only a moment to shoot a dark look at girl before leaving the room, ignoring the protests of the professor.
Despite the angel's protests, Dean led him out of the building and towards the college parking lot. Castiel knew he could have escaped if he really wanted, but the look that Dean had gave him in the classroom burned his chest, the secret hurt that flooded the hunter's mind making his stomach churn with guilt. So he didn't pull away.
Dean literally threw Castiel into the passenger seat of the impala, slamming the car door before stalking around and getting into the driver's seat, shooting the angel a glare before starting the car.
"Dean-" Castiel tried to speak, only to get cut off as Dean growled in warning before starting the engine and backing out of the parking spot. Muttering under his breath, Dean began driving out of the lot and onto the road, taking Castiel God-knows-where.
It was when the hunter pulled into a restaurant's parking lot that the angel groaned, speaking over Dean's glare. "Why did you have to do that Dean?" Castiel asked, meeting the dark stare evenly.
The hunter didn't answer at first, until he let out a sigh and switched off the engine before opening the door. "I couldn't think of anything else to get your attention. You literally are the best at avoiding people when you want to." Dean explained before getting out, walking around and opening Castiel's door for him, though the angel scoffed at the 'chivalry'.
"You still didn't have to mention the making out part. What happened to pretending it never happened?" Castiel growled in response, rolling his eyes at the sheepish look that Dean got on his face.
"Yeah, that was more a spurr of the moment thing. Sorry. But! You shouldn't have been avoiding me in the first place! We put the incident behind us so I don't understand your need to hide from me for three days." Dean accused, making Castiel huff. The hunter didn't understand the embarrassment that Castiel faced.
"I don't expect you to understand, Dean." Castiel mumbled, his eyes blunt as he slammed the door shut behind him. He saw the hunter visibly flinch, but ignored it as he looked around. "Where are we anyways?"
"We're at the Roadhouse. My family friend Ellen and her daughter Jo runs it." Dean replied, motioning Castiel to follow before walking through the small lot and into the decent sized building. Smells of food instantly wafted through the air, making Castiel's stomach rumble. What a strange organ.
"Dean! It's been a while." A woman said brightly, her face stern but friendly as she walked over, giving the hunter a warm hug. As she pulled away, her eyes instantly went to Castiel, who was standing there awkwardly. "Who's this?"
"This is Castiel the angel." Dean introduced, clasping the angel on the shoulder. Castiel glared at him in warning. "Cas, this is Ellen, a fellow hunter."
"So, I take it your boyfriend here knows about the 'Family Business' as your father calls it." Ellen asked, putting air quotes around Family Business. Dean got a weird look on his face, matched by Castiel squinting.
"Boyfriend? Ellen, you know I'm straight." Dean defended, looking almost offended by the suggestion that he might be in anyway gay. Ellen raised one eyebrow, looking between the two of them.
"Last time I checked, you don't bring in a cutie like that and call him an angel, then claim you're not dating. It's not very convincing." Ellen countered, making Dean blush before a laugh escaped his lips.
"Ellen, I mean he's an actual angel, like he works for a higher power and all that? He even has the wings to go with it." Dean said, patting the spot where Castiel hid his wings under his trenchcoat. The angel shivered, grabbing his arm and moving it away from him.
"We already talked about that, Dean. Don't touch the feathers." Castiel warned, the heat that was showing on his face a clue for Dean that things might not end well if he continued. The hunter muttered a sorry before looking at Ellen, who was studying Castiel with a new interest.
"An angel, huh? When I imagined an angel though, I imagined something..." She trailed off, trying to find the right word that would offend Castiel in anyway. Dean decided to pitch in, not worried about the angel's wrath.
"...less like a tax accountant and more like a magical being?" Dean offered, and Ellen nodded. Castiel rolled his eyes, shoving Dean gently on the shoulder - although Dean still stumbled a few steps away.
"Can we get our table before you get me killed, Ellen?" Dean asked cheekily, sticking his tongue out at Castiel as Ellen turned her back to grab menus. She led them to a table near the back of the building, the other customers' chatter soft in the background.
"Jo will come around to get your order in a minute. She's been dying to see you again." Ellen said with a smile before walking away. Castiel sat opposite of Dean, who was opening the menu despite knowing what he was already going to pick.
"Get the cheeseburger. It's the best thing here." Dean said, closing the menu after a minute and tossing it onto the table. Castiel nodded, just glad that he didn't have to search through all the items, and placed his menu on top of Dean's. They sat in comfortable silence until a blonde haired girl walked over, a pad in her hand.
"What can I get for you today, Mr. Winchester?" The blonde asked happily. Dean grinned and stood, hugging her gently before taking a seat again. Castiel didn't know why, but that hug made his stomach burn with an unfamiliar sensation.
"It's good to see you, Jo. We'll both take a cheesburger with fries." Dean said, motioning to Castiel as they made their order. Jo wrote it down with a smile, chatting with Dean about a few things, mainly about how, Ash?, was doing. It seemed like forever before the girl walked away, Castiel getting more frustrated as every second passed.
When she finally left, Castiel relaxed, though he could still feel her obvious attraction to Dean hanging thickly in the air. He looked at the hunter. "She seems to like you." Castiel muttered, though Dean didn't seem to hear him.
"What was that?" Dean asked, leaning forwards a bit. Castiel sighe, shaking his head and muttering nothing before returning to staring at the table.
The rest of the time in the restaurant was awkward for Castiel to say the least. Every free moment that Jo had was spent talking to Dean, which only frustrated him. So the angel sat there, silently eating the food, it was actually quite good, in a brooding mood. It was when they got up to pay that his frustration began to hit his peak.
"You should come back soon, Dean." Jo babbled excitedly. Castiel honestly didn't know why he hated her that much. She seemed like such a sweet girl, but at the moment, ripping her in half wouldn't be enough. Maybe ripping her into quarters would do.
"Dean." Castiel mumbled, not expecting to catch the hunter's attention over the babble, but Dean turned his head, glancing back at Castiel curiously.
"What's wrong Cas?" Dean asked, worry crossing his features as he saw the strange expression on Castiel's face. Jo had stopped talking by now and was watching curiously as well, though she also looked more bored.
"I apologize in advance." Castiel said. Dean opened his mouth to ask what he was talking about, but was silenced as the angel grabbed the back of his head and pressed his lips to the hunter's. He felt Dean tense underneath him, but with gentle movements and coaxing, the hunter began to kiss back, sliding his hand up Castiel's arm.
That is until he realized what he and Castiel were doing.
Dean pushed Castiel off, his eyes wide with shock. "W-what the hell, Cas?!" Dean exclaimed, Jo staring at them in horror. Somewhere behind the counter, Castiel could feel amusement waft off Ellen's mind, like she was watching the best soap opera.
"We'll discuss it later. I already apologized." Castiel deadpanned before turning and walking out of the building. He took a deep breath as he got outside, the fresh air clearing his head just long enough for him to turn bright red.
What the hell did he just do?
