"Mahiru." I muttered, poking him in the side. "Let's go home."

The messy haired boy's brown eyes were transfixed on the glowing neon pink sign, featuring a silhouette of a posing woman. The pulsing light spelled out the words in dizzying, loopy letters- Hailey's Strip Club.

I sighed deeply and tugged on Mahiru's sleeve. "We aren't going in there, it's creepy.... And loud.... And I think naked people..."

The boy shook him off and entered the club quietly, carefully slipping behind the security guard facing the line trailing at least a block from the door. I groaned, and with a poof, turned into a cat, and slinked into the dark, sweet-scented room. Wrinkling my nose, I looked down, avoiding feet, and hopped up onto a empty liquor shelf.

My eyes widened as I took everything in.

Past the dozens of dancing bodies, there were three circular stages, each with a pole. The women wrapped around them were barely covered, their skin shining with sweat, tinted purple, blue, and pink from the dim lighting. Pieces of what I assumed we're clothes scattered around them, laying forgotten, and I could see their chests rise and fall as they danced to the slow, pulsing, sultry music. My hair stood on end, skin prickling at the strange sensation that was stirring in my body. The place smelled of liquor, perfume, Cologne, and sweat- it was intoxicating, and spots danced before my eyes. Shaking my head, I leaned back on my haunches, prepared to leap off, when felt hands grab me. I yowled, prepared to strike out at whoever dared touch me. I froze when I saw the familiar, teasing smile of Snow Lily.

"Kuro-chan, you really need to calm down. And no one can hear you, the music drowns out everything." He stroked my ears, and I instinctively closed my eyes at the calm sensation. "We got the bad guys, so you don't need to worry."

I batted his fingers away with sheathed claws. "Then I'm going home. Where's Mahiru?"

"Oh, he's, um..." Snow Lily hesitated, looking guilty. "Some people got his hands on him, I think he's drunk and possibly high."
