There are two main characters for this story. For the male lead I chose Brant Daugherty, and for the female lead I chose Margot Robbie.

AJ's story: AJ's life has been full of loss and hopelessness. First was the death of his father while he was deployed in Iraq. What hurt the most was that he was never able to say goodbye. Second was his mom. Four months after AJ's dad died his mom committed suicide. This death however felt the worst, because it was one he could have prevented. He saw that she was hurting but his efforts to comfort her were useless. Ace was only 14 years old at the time of his mother's death. His mother took care of all the finances for him to live with no worry. The house was paid off, the cars were, and so was his current and future education were financially covered. Not only that but he had a trust fund with millions of dollars in it. For a long time he felt that life had no true meaning and why love when you could loose that person any given day. AJ did not let his negative mind control him though, he was living how he thought his mom would like him too. So AJ became the captain of the basketball team and made sure to get all A's while doing so. His popularity grew and to most people he was not just that kid with the two dead parents. Ace felt empty inside and had no one to talk to. Those people were not his true friends. Then everything changed sophomore year when a girl named Legacy started coming to Liberty High. Like a cliché they fell in love and AJ finally that, that hole that was missing in his life was finally filled. It wasn't till she came along that he actually started enjoying life. It was just two years later when Legacy committed suicide on the last day of summer vacation. This was the day his lifeline, his love and his happiness was severed.

Bella's story: Bella was always a troubled girl inside but she hides it well. She had a abusive family if you can even call it a family. Bella's mom was a drug addict , before Bella's mom had her she used to have sex with different men for money to get drugs. That is how she got pregnant with Bella and her father is unknown because of all the different guys her mom has been with.  Bella's mom does have a boyfriend but he beats Bella everyday, she was lucky if she only got a beaten once a day. At school her life is totally different, Bella is popular. Her popularity comes from her playing sports, she is the number one softball player and track runner. Soon Bella's life becomes even more worse at home but transfers to her school. Bella's defense was weakening everyday but she told no one. Not even her boyfriend. That one night ruined her entire life and she felt like she was broken beyond repair. Bella thought that she needed AJ more than he needed her and that she was dragging him down. When she looked at AJ she saw a very bright future but when she saw herself she saw nothing but sorrow and failure. Bella had to come up with a plan that would help everyone, but she didn't know how much others would miss her. Her plan took a month to plan and she finally executed her plan on August 1st, the last day of summer by committing suicide.
