Alistair's Pov

"Good Morning everyone, I intend to make this speech short and realistic. Firstly, I'd like to thank everyone for showing up . ", I cleared my throat as an attempt to recollect the speech I completely forgot, "I won't really say that I didn't practice this speech because I did, I truly did "

"Coming to the point ", father chuckled giving me a tardiness reminder.

"Yeah, I want to take over the position of my father and it won't really be possible without your support. I won't promise anything because I am a firm believer in 'actions speak louder then words, so I aspire to stay true to the words I am going to include in my speech through my actions "

"Some of the matters I'll lead my emphasis on are equality for both genders, eradication of racism, poverty and unemployment, and equal respect to every section of the society. I don't really care if you're black, white, qualified, unqualified, pure, impure, or a whore ", Evelyn's thoughts crossed my mind in that instance, "I'll protect your interests no matter what ", I tried refocusing on the topic.

I grinned at the sound of continuous applause, I tightened my tie and bowed in front of the audience one last time before leaving the stage. I waved to everyone plastering my face with a smile. Maybe, dad did teach me right.

He helped me practice the speech which was specially designed by a well-known writer for brainwashing the crowd with words. I wasn't ready to do it in the first place but I had no other choice. I was the puppet whose strings were in possession of my father.

Filling all the necessities in my bag, I zipped it tightly. I was out of the city for a week and a half. I was on a campaign with dad which involved image building and creating a reputation in the minds of the public. I didn't interact much with Chace and Zack throughout because I wasn't allowed to use my phone.

I'd text them in intervals inquiring about everything and everyone with whom I was acquainted with. A smile escaped my lips at the thought of Evelyn, I haven't met her since the day we spent together. I knew she was in trouble, I just couldn't do anything about it.

I could take charge over the matter whilst using my real name but then it would disclose several other facts too so it was best that I stayed silent. Her ethereal face traveled across my mind whenever I wanted to practice sanity. Maybe, I should stay away from her. For her good and mine as well.

"Quite impressed ", father patted my right shoulder felicitating me for memorizing the speech at the right time and moment.

"Uh-yeah, Thank you ", I surrounded my shoulders with my bag-pack and rushed towards the exit. I curled the seatbelt of our private jet across my body. I'm glad dad didn't accompany me as he had some other work to handle here. He would've continuously spoken about the political matters making the trip dreadful.

I let my upper eyelids meet my lower ones, relaxed resting my back comfortably on the seat, and gained peace. I wasn't able to relax much in the past few days because of the hectic schedule. I'm glad I was all by myself in the initial days, dad accompanied me after 4 days.

After reaching the terrace of my mansion, I exited the jet and made my way towards the hallway. Failing on my attempt to encounter mom, I comforted myself on my bed after having a hot shower bath.

"Home ", I left a message on our group and relaxed for a while. I ringed the button of the bell which was beside my bed to have a servant at my service.

"Yes sir ?", peter was dressed in his uniform, he came towards me with a notepad.

"Hey, Peter! Just get me anything to eat ", I greeted and instructed him.

"Assholeeeeeeeeeee", I heard two mixed voices, I knew who it was from so I crossed my legs on the bed and made space for Chace and Zack.

"So ?", I arched my brows pleasantly whilst smirking.

"Yo, buddy. I talked with 7 girls, slept with 8. How much we missed you ", Zack winked.

I punched him on his stomach for teasing me, "Days have been tough, I guess I can't go by the name Arnold anymore. I've been making public appearances lately, within no time people will recognize me for my original name. I can't just keep going with my notorious personality anymore."

Chace formed a spike out of his messed hair, "how about Evelyn?", he raised his brows waiting for an answer. Chace was my man, he knew what I felt and what I didn't. He was my brother from another mother.

"You remember her name?" I interrogated smiling.

"That sexy whore ?", Zack interrupted.

"Yeah ", I agreed without beating around the bush.

I swallowed, "She's a woman first", it didn't really feel right when someone called her whore or a prostitute. Respecting women apart from their caste, creed, status, etc should be as mandatory as payment of taxes.

"Oh, wow, Look at Mr. Politician ", Zack teased grinning. Chace tried calming me down by patting me on my shoulder. I sighed, taking a bite of my sandwich. "I should keep going ", Zack waved me goodbye after side hugging me. I watched his shadow disappear away from my room.

Zack's nature could make anyone loathe him even in his sight. I didn't really hate him but also failed to love him as much as Chace. His actions and words were full of criticism even on my humblest of acts. Chace was the connecting line that kept mine and Zack's friendship alive.

"I want to see her but I can't. I promised to be friends with her, I can't fulfill that promise. I wished there were no strings attached but, to be honest, there are. I made a decision to distance myself from her but I'm regretting it even before practicing it . ", I offered Chace a piece of my sandwich.

"You know you'll be restricted after a month or two, why not make the most of your life till then? We both know that you're clearly a bit more into her than attraction. Spend time with her, fuck her, go out with her until your desires are fulfilled, and then dump her like you usually do when bored ", Chace raised his right hand for a high five.

I chuckled, "Maybe you're right. I love you man "

"Always got your back, make it pleasurable ", Chace muttered the latter part of the sentence slowly.

"To be honest, I don't really sleep with her when I meet her. I've had sex with her only for once, the rest of the time I just talk, only talk ", I cornered my eyes to study Chace's expression.

Chace chortled loudly "you mean you pay hundreds of dollars just to talk?" Chace couldn't complete his sentence as he was interrupted by his continuous laughter, "Oh my Lord, I can't take it anymore ", he rolled on my bed curling his hands around his stomach whilst laughing .. What was so funny, though?

"Shut the fuck up already ", I punched him in his arms in order to shut him up.

"Well, hurry. You should keep going to chit-chat with Evelyn. It's already night, you see ", I took a glimpse of the clock which hung on the wall.

After grabbing my coat, I left Chace in my room and made my way towards the parking slot to have access to my bike. I twirled the keys inside the hole and rushed at full speed in the direction of her building which was on the outskirts of the city.

"Hey Humpty ", I literally had no control over my tongue,"Hey there, beautiful ", I tried polishing her.

"long time no see eh ?", she questioned with an amused face. Did I look like a clown to her? I would've shown her what her real place was if only she wasn't Evelyn's mom.

I rested my face on my knuckles after taking a seat,"Same girl, please "

"She's busy at the moment ", she faked a smile.

"Well, I don't care. I'll double the amount he paid ", I knew her weakness was money and I also knew how to mock her down by taking advantage of her weakness.

She sighed nodding,"Fine, I'll make space for you "

"I can make space for myself ", I pushed the chair in its original place and rushed taking long steps. I climbed the stairs at full speed and without really giving a prior notice kicked the door and fled it open.

Evelyn lay on the bed naked with one of the men we encountered in the cinemas. Seriously, couldn't she say a no? Was saying no this difficult? Or maybe she was enjoying it. Her hands hung loose on either side of the bed. The male's hand cupped her naked breasts.

After realizing that their privacy was disturbed, he pulled away from her with a perplexed expression. Evelyn covered herself with the sheets. The view was devastating and also the thought of her with someone else. She was a whore, it was her profession. But why wasn't I able to stand this thought freely in my mind.

"Get the fuck off asshole", I ranted without giving a fuck about my loud tone.

"What if I don't ?" he smirked pushing his body closer to hers. He moved his hands around her waist and started kissing her earlobes, he slowly made his way towards her cheek and then rested his mouth on her neck, he slowly licked it. Evelyn was still, she didn't do any movement.

"You wouldn't dare, I said get off ", I tried warning him one last time.

"Sorry ", he grinned like an idiot. I couldn't resist my temptation to hit him so I made way in the direction of his filthy body. I breathed in and gathered all my courage before turning on my violent switch. I did give him chance, it was his bad that he didn't agree to my conditions.

I rested my fists on his nose, he moaned out loudly because of the excruciating pleasure. I grabbed him by his collars and threw him towards the ground "Told you not to mess with me", I kicked his thighs. He rubbed them and attempted to stand up straight.

"I'm Jason Henry, note down the name. You just made an enemy for yourself ", he smirked whilst gathering his clothes," today is your day but not every day will be like today ", he looked at me ruthlessly in my eyes before paving the way towards the exit.

I followed him out, "Don't you dare show up again", I patted his shoulder and banged the door close on his face.

I took long sips of water which she offered me, kept silent for a while as a process to calm myself down. "Thought you'd never show up again", she surfaced the sheet close to her chin and said those words. Did she expect me here?

"Couldn't resist, maybe ", I smirked. Her enchanting face calmed my nerves which fumed out of anger.

"Well then, nice to meet you again ", she sounded different today. She didn't ignore me but instead provoked the topic. I watched her speak whilst gawking at her.

I tucked away her baby hair away from her forehead which obstructed my view of her alluring face. I couldn't resist my desire to kiss her, to make her mine. I pushed myself closer to her, she didn't pull away but in fact reciprocated the movement. Slowly and steadily, our foreheads collided giving me sensations.

My nose touched hers, I could feel her breathing. I wanted this moment to stop forever. But to be honest, forever was a lie because Romeo had to die.
