Thursday Night

"Ow! Stop leaning on me!" Joanna whispered angrily at Tamara. "Sorry! It's not my fault you won't move!" Tamara whispered back, pushing Joanna aside from the door.

Joanna and Tamara were eaves-dropping on Moriah and Joel.

"Ow! Seriously, you have to stop lea-" "Shh!" Tamara covered Joanna mouth as Moriah began to speak.
"Joel, I don't think we should tell them."
"But, Moriah, they will have to some time."
"I know, I know. But, what if they are just not ready?"
Tamara and Joanna heard a kiss.
"Love, sooner or later they will need to know."
"But Joel, what if they think they will loose me?"
"Moriah, nothing can separate ya'll."
"Yeah, except death!"

That made everything clear to Tamara and Joanna. Their mother, Moriah, was sick. And she was going to die.

Joanna was pale and she tapped on Tamara's shoulder, "Mom is going to be okay, right?"
Tamara wanted to say everything was going to be okay, everything was going to be fine. But at that time, she didn't know it was going to be okay.

Joanna and Tamara walked away, quietly from the door. They ran to their rooms, closed their doors, and locked them.

Joanna started to cry quietly, so that Joel and Moriah don't here her.

Tamara grabbed her phone, earphones, and blanket. She walked to her bed and laid down.

She started to cry as well. She turned on her back and stared at the ceiling.

"God? Please don't take her. I need my mother. I love her so much. Please, don't take her away. Please God. Please."

Tears ran down her face and she sniffed and breathed from her mouth. She sighed and put in her earphones. She grabbed her phone, scrolled down the music list and clicked on a song.

Tamara wasn't a big fan of For KING & COUNTRY, but she kinda did listen to some songs.

She put on without you.
