Lady
The Qs were preparing lunch when the doorbell rang. "I'll get it," Saiko said, leaving the kitchen area and making her way to the front door.
Upon opening it, she gasped out loud at the sight which greeted her; it was a shiny, black helicopter parked behind a well-dressed woman who smiled and greeted Saiko politely, asking for you.
"Just a minute." Saiko replied before closing the door and running to the kitchen where you and a bored-looking Urie stood by the fridge, taking a break.
"(Y/N)-chan! Are you rich?!" She asked loudly, catching everyone's attention.
Belfry you could respond appropriately, Haise spoke up, "why'd you say that, Saiko?"
"A lady's here to pick her up in a helicopter." Her melodic voice chirped, eyes shining with joy as she thought about all the stuff she could buy with that kind of money.
"I-I guess you could say that," you said after a moment, shit, how'd I get out of this one?
"If you're wealthy," Shirazu said as he peeled an apple by the sink, "why'd you take up this job?"
When you heard his question, your eyes flickered to Haise for a moment, answering everyone's doubts; except for Haise's as he thought her quick gaze was a silent cry for help. "Now, now," he spoke up, "we can't pry into (Y/N)'s personal life like that."
"But maman, she joined for y-" Mutsuki shoved a thick slice of apple in her mouth. Saiko got the hint, chewed and swallowed her food before reminding you that there was still the woman outside waiting for you.
--
"You took a while to leave the house," Matsumae said, "what happened in there?"
You sighed and laughed non-humourlessly, "they asked me if I was rich and why I decided to work for the CCG if I was."
"What'd you say then?" She asked, a hint of amusement in her voice.
"I said I was rich but I didn't say anything for the second question... " you tried to avoid Matsumae's prying gaze which practically said: I know there's more to this story. "I looked at Haise Sasaki by accident and they all think I joined just to stalk him or something."
Her laughs could rival the loud spinning of the helicopter blades.
--
You spent the night back home, sleeping beside your brother. All the house servants agreed that it was the most peaceful night they had since you left but that wasn't the reason why they brought you home...
--
You knew it. A smirk plastered itself on your face as you, Kanae and Matsumae sat in the car, the butler driving the three of you to the auction location.
"Why the smug look?" Kanae asked out of the blue.
"When I heard there was going to be a ghoul auction, I knew we were going to take part in it..." You were just kind of happy that you guessed correctly, although you knew it was a strange thing to be happy about.
"Put your masks on," Matsumae said as the car began to slow down, "we're reaching the destination."
You gazed at your mask for a while before you felt a strong sense of determination, putting it on, you thought to yourself, don't worry, my brother, we will get you better food, just hold on for a while more.
--
That girl on stage looks awfully familiar, you thought calmly as you looked at the helpless figure sitting under the spotlight. Your eyes widened and your heart stopped when you realised who it was.
Mutsuki?
To your relief, Kanae managed to win him; you knew you still had to figure out how to stop Mutsuki from getting eaten by your own brother later on but at least he was with you. A wave of mixed feelings washed over you when a thought forced itself into your mind, but eating him would help Shuu recover much faster than any human celebrity could... But Mutsuki's such a sweetheart... I've grown attached to him... The only way he can be safe is if-
"It's Suzuya!" A ghoul cried, "the Doves have infiltrated!"
No. (Yes.)
--
"Get home." Matsumae said as she gripped your arm, "(Y/N), meet Kanae and I back home. Don't look for the car and just stay safe, alright?" A look of worry flashed across her eyes as she took off.
Then place was extremely chaotic, a few misleading corridors and wrong turns led you to a place which seemed like a dead end, you turned around to go back the way you came when you ran into Haise Sasaki.
Recognising your mask as a ghoul's, he immediately went for the offensive and attacked you with his kagune. Your quick reflexes allowed you to avoid his attacks rather effortlessly. His blows were strong but slow, compared to you.
--
Why isn't she fighting back? Haise thought as he failed yet again to land a blow on the mysterious ghoul that he encountered while on his way to finding Mutsuki. You're certainly fast enough, so why don't you do something?
"Sasaki!" A colleague's voice called out from behind, it was Kuramoto Itou. "You find Mutsuki Tooru, we'll take care of this one!"
--
"You're good," the Dove with fox-like eyes said in between heavy breaths, his two other teammates were down, "I don't believe you're in CCG records... Although you do resemble the one Arima-san told me about when I just joined the CCG."
Curiosity overtook your need to just kill he guy and leave, so you held yourself back, deciding to let him live a little while longer. You're lucky you're cute.
Kuramoto saw his chance and continued his rambling, waiting for the reinforcements he'd managed to call for a while ago as he avoided your harsh blows. "He told me about a ghoul he encountered before when he was younger, the Assassin ghoul, if I'm not wrong. One of the quickest he ever met. I guess in this case, you're my Assassin ghoul."
"Are you flirting with me?" You asked quietly, making sure to alter your voice a little.
"Perhaps." He replied as a smirk spread across his face, the sound of his comrades approaching caught his attention. "But too bad you'll be dead before we can go on our first date."
What the sh-
A flurry of bullets flew towards your body and would've killed you instantly if you hadn't raised your kagune. You stayed in your position, calm and collected, waiting for your opportunity to flee. The way your heart beat in that moment told you not to kill the man in front of you; I'm going to regret this... You chuckled at yourself.
Once the Doves ran out of bullets, you looked at fox-eyes and said, "I would go out with you if you weren't such an ass." You saw your opportunity and ran from the scene as the men stood there, shocked.
--
"You got to name a ghoul?" Haise repeated, impressed at his colleague.
"I was the one who fought against her the longest during the raid, after all," Kuramoto boasted kind heartedly.
"What'd you call her?"
"The Lady ghoul."
--
Bonus:
"That's a boring name."
"No, it's not."
"Yes it is, why'd you name her that anyways?"
"Her movements were impressively fast but elegant at the same time. She could've killed me but she didn't so I didn't want to give her a name so unique that it sounded dumb."
"I see... I heard from Hirako that you get flustered a little whenever you talk about her."
"N-no, I don't."
"I see..."
