69|"The Gang Will Always Be There..."

<Soda's POV>

As soon as Chris told me that Two sounded like he was in danger, we were out of he door. With her hand in mine, I lead her to the car. Her large and swollen belly resists the speed. Once she is settled in the passenger seat I run to the other side of the truck and jump in. As I start the car Chris mumbles, "I hope he is okay." I nod in agreement as I begin to speed down the roads towards Two-Bit's house. Turn after turn goes by and my anxiousness only grows until I am made of it and fear I may explode from the suspense. When we finally pull into Two's driveway under hen street lights I am relieved to have arrived. Chris jumps out of the car with me and we rush to the door, throwing away the curtesy to knock. We barge through the door and find Two-Bit with his back facing us.

Chris's hand finds mine again as we stand frozen and breathless. "Two?" I ask nervously. Hesitantly Two-Bit slowly turns around. As he turns on his heel he mumbles slightly.

"I didn't even know, there isn't even a note." In Two-Bits arms is an infant who can't even be over two weeks old. It looks to be a boy, his skin still a soft pink. His small eyes mimic Two-Bit's, eliminating any possibility that the baby isn't his. They are a bright crystallized blue. There are small, soft tufts of brown hair on the baby's head. The baby just keeps staring at Two-Bit with the biggest doe eyes I have ever seen.

Two-Bit has all of the blood drained from his face, he is sickly pale and almost green skinned. His hands are shaking slightly as he holds the baby uncomfortably. Keith's attention is one hundred percent on the baby. His eyes have yet to leave the sight of the child.

Chris takes a hesitant step forwards and reaches out her small hand. She delicately strokes the child's face with care. Biting both her lips, Chris looks up at Two-Bit who is still staring at the infant. The baby whimpers out for attention. Two-Bit makes a soft noise that sounds like a cry when the baby whimpers at him. I see his knees shake a bit so I step forward. Finally he looks up to me with teary eyes. It's weird to see Two-Bit so conflicted and upset when just a few hours before he was drunk and happily spitting jokes at Steve.

Christina cautiously takes the baby from Two-Bit's hands and holds it herself. She walks over to the couch and sits down as jaw attempts to soothe the soft crying child. I place a comforting hand on Two's shoulder as he looks at me with despair. "What am I going to do?" His voice comes out unstable and shaky, "what do I tell my mom, how do I take care of a freaking baby?" I shake my head slowly.

"You're both going to be fine, tell your mother the truth, finally graduate high school so you can get a job and support the baby, while you're at school we will watch the baby," I say quickly. Two-Bit bites his lip.

"What if my mom kicks me out?" Two asks nervously. Chris looks up from the couch.

"Then you can live with us, or Steve and Lena, or Dally and Skyler's house and share a room with Johnny, or he'll stay with one of us until you have money for your own house, the gang will always be there for you," Chris informs Two-Bit who nods frantically at us and then moves to the couch. As he kneels in front of Chris, he gestures for her to hand him the baby. When the child is back in his arms, the cries quiet and I think everyone relaxes. "What are you going to name him?" Two-Bit smiles and my heart warms at the sight of my friend happy again.

"Henry," he says happily, "Henry Robert Matthews."

<Dallas' POV>

I take Tibby from Skyler's tired arms and begin to walk towards the nursery. Tibby is half asleep in my arms by the time enter the small room that used to belong to my little sister. My arms outstretch and I place my daughter gently in the small white crib that contains a few soft blankets and the case for a blade that is engraved with the words 'From Uncle Two, fight on.' Tibby cuddles it hit at night which I guess is a little morbid since she is just over a year old and she is already sleeping with a case made for a switchblade. Well, now I know she will be a great greaser one day.

My daughter coos, and reaches up at my arm that is resting on the side of the crib. I extend my arm and allow Tibby to grab my thumb. She playfully taps on it as much as she can manage with her small and chubby fingers. I smirk and let out a low and short chuckle. Tibby continues to play with my hand in between her own. I am so concentrated on her eyes I don't even care. Her eyes just amaze me. They look so much like my mothers eyes, a bright shimmering icy blue, but at the same time the grey from Skyler's eyes is also prominent. It's a grey glazed blue eye color and I could stare into them for hours.

Leaning over the side of the crib, I plant a kiss on my daughters forehead and smile at her once more as she falls into a deep sleep. As I walk out of the nursery I mutter to my little angel, "Fight on sweetheart."

Upon entering my own room, I find my life partner in my large grey t-shirt that barely covers the baby bump. Her dainty fingers are curled around the side of the pillow. The short black hair that is slowly growing back out is sprawled onto the pillow is small dark wisps. Skyler's eyes are closed, blocking my view from the magnificent steel grey that still my my heart beat speed up to an unhealthy pace. Her legs are tangled together and barely covered by the bed sheets. Each time she takes a small breath her pale pink lips part. With a smirk plastered on my face, I pull off my shirt and climb into bed next to her. She groans softly as I pull the covers farther up over her. This makes me chuckle under my breath. As I get comfortable in the bed Skyler opens her mesmerizing eyes. For a moment I stare into them before speaking. "What's on the agenda for tomorrow while I'm at work?" I ask her. She sighs.

"Well as much as I want to sleep I have an appointment with doctors for the twins and Tibby needs a check up since we never had one right after her birthday, and we are horribly low on food, so my schedule is pretty bad tomorrow," Skyler announces. Before I can respond, our bedroom door slams open. Steve and Lena stand in the doorway.

"Clear your schedules!" Steve yells hastily.

"Jesus Randle, didn't I just get rid of you?" I snarl angrily. Lena steps forward.

"You're going to want to see this, come on, every one else is in your living room," Lena exclaims before sliding across the floor away from Steve and back into the living area. I sigh and help Skyler out of bed. Neither of us make the effort to put more clothes on. Holding hands as we follow Steve into our living room I wonder what could be so important. I just a saw these people less than an hour ago.

After entering the living room I see Two-Bit facing the wall. Everyone is either watching us or him. This leading me to the conclusion that whatever this is, it is about Two. "Keith?" Skyler mutters from her spot next to me. He turns around slowly while biting his lips. My eyes aren't trained on him though. Instead they are locked on the small baby boy in his arms. I hear Skyler gasp next to me. "Horribly sorry folks, I must still be sleeping and this is all a dream," she says as she begins to walk away. Steve grabs her arm forcefully.

"Sky, Two-Bit has explained this to everyone except you two, so please let him speak," Steve pleads. Skyler steps forward again and re-grasps my hand.

"Ok so, I came home and found him on my doorstep, no note or anything, but I know he is mine. Our eyes are the same and well if my memory is correct it has been nine months since something happened between me and this girl. Her name was Kaya, and the baby, whom I've named Henry Robert, has the same hair and face as her, minus the eyes. I am positive this is her and I's baby," Two-But explains. It is now I notice that the baby does have Kieth's eyes.

"What happened to the mother?" I ask curiously. Two-Bit sighs.

"Kaya died two weeks ago, no one knew why, but I think I know the cause now. Henry looks about two weeks old doesn't he?" Two explains. Henry's mother must of died in child birth.

"So how did you end up with the bundle of joy?" Skyler asks. I squeeze her hand in anticipation.

"Kaya's family wasn't exactly the most supportive, after she died they probably tracked me down and left him to me," Two-Bit explains without sounding the least bit bothered. Two-Bit gulps. "And now my mother has kicked me out," Two announces to all of us.

"Come stay with us," Lena offers. Steve sighs.

"Lena, my dad won't let my friend and his baby move in," Steve states disdainfully. Lena smirks.

"Oh I never got the chance to mention that at dinner did I?" She says mysteriously. We give her prying glances. "I just got a shit ton of money from the military for my service or whatever so, I bought us a low rent apartment, Two-Bit you are welcome to stay." Kieth smiles that Two-Bit smile that could make a whole building laugh. With a simple nod of his head the deal is sealed.

A/N OVERDUE I KNOW BUT HEY I WARNED YOU OF WRITERS BLOCK DIDN'T I? Is this chapter even worthy? Oh well. More on Leala and Kaya next chapter YAYAYA. Then probably a time skip. And then yet another time skip. Ok cool.

Stay gold💛
