After Alexander and Angelica had their confrontation, Alex thought of ways he could make it up to Eliza. He knew directly apologizing wouldn't be enough, words wouldn't cover it this time.

He needed to physically do something to make up for his lack of support lately.

He gathered his papers, heading out of the house, walking past all of the Schuyler sisters. He failed to acknowledge them.

Alexander walked out and to the warehouse. He walked into the warehouse, sighing as he set the stack of papers down on Washington's desk.

"Done. All 51 one of them." Alexander sighed.

Washington nodded "thank you. Now I need you to-"

"Sir. No. I can't. Not right now. Please. I just busted my ass doing 51 papers for you. That's more than double anyone else here. I need a break. Just a day. Please. I messed up with my girlfriend. I missed the sonogram."

Washington looked up at him. "You missed the sonogram for your first child? Man, that's-"

"Bad I know." Alexander spoke. "I'm making up for it. That's why I need to go. I'm getting something special and then I need to think of what to say and everything. So if we're done here, can I leave?"

"Sure. You're gonna face more hell at home then you will here today. Good luck facing your lady."

Alexander spent a good portion of the day running around, trying to find the perfect one.

He wouldn't stop until he found it either. He already knew that Eliza, or more in particular, Angelica was going to be mad at him for being so long, but he didn't care.

Alex just knew that he had to prove to Eliza that he was dedicated. It may have been soon to make a decision like this, but he couldn't wait. It was the only thing that seemed to make sense in his mind.

As Alexander was just about ready to give up searching, he looked up at Sign for a store that was new.

'What the hell.' He thought to himself as he walked in, searching right away.

Alex was pleasantly surprised when he checked out. He finally found the perfect one.

Now it was time to head home and face the music.

As Alexander walked back into the house, the first thing he noticed was the silence.

"Hello?" He asked as he peered around the corner, going into the kitchen.

Nobody was in the kitchen. Alexander sighed and walked out back, hoping to see Eliza.

Alexander was right; Eliza was laying in the hammock, gently rubbing the baby bump.

'Perfect. It's just us.' Alexander thought to himself as he started walking towards her.

"Eliza?" He said softly, standing next to her.

"I thought you left."

"No, I just had to drop those papers off."

Eliza nodded slightly "okay."

Alexander frowned; she was being distant.

"I'm really sorry about missing the sonogram, and not being there enough for you lately."

Eliza nodded "im sorry too. I'm sorry Angelica was right about you because I love you and I didn't want to believe her."

Alex grew confused "what do you mean?"

"You're gonna leave me for good one of these days and I'll be left to take care of our son alone."

Alex looked at her and blinked a few times "son? It's a boy?"

"Yes. But that's not what I'm-"

Alexander cut her off "hey, listen to me." He said and grabbed her hand.

"Elizabeth Schuyler. I love you, so much. Just from looking at you, I feel in love with you and I couldn't and still can't get enough of you. You mean everything and more to me and I don't know what I would do without you. I love spending my days with you. I love holding you at night, despite how difficult it's getting with that beautiful baby bump. I already love our son and I haven't met him yet. I love your family. I love you. I love you. I love you. Nothing could change that. Nothing. Before this turns into a sappy hallmark card, I have a question." Alex said and pulled a small box out of his pocket.

"Eliza, will you marry me?" He asked and opened the box, revealing a a diamond set on a gold band.

Eliza put her hands over her mouth at the sight and nodded, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Yes, yes! A thousand times yes!" She said and clung to him after he slipped the ring on her finger.

Alex smiled and hugged her.

He knew that he had to prioritize now.
