"Let's see. Reika, huh? Her last name seems to be blocked off. Clan, unknown. Age, unknown. Height, unknown. Weight, unknown. But outside her clan, people have known her as the Swift Killer. The reason why she was known as the Swift Killer is because she is too fast to see through the naked eye," Kabuto read.
I frowned as he continued.
"Reika has killed 238 people in one night and has killed over 4 families within 24 hours. When on a mission, she'll never let her victim escape, no matter how big or small the target is. Warning: Do not attempt to fight this girl if seen. She will show no mercy on you and will kill you within eight seconds. Run away and save yourself." Kabuto finished reading.
All three teams, including Kabuto, looked at me. "What?" I asked causally. "You've killed that many people?" Kiba asked. "No, I knitted pretty sweaters for them. Of course, I killed that many people!" I said. Seriously, how stupid are you?
"Just who strong are you?" Sasuke asked me. I shrugged. "Pretty strong." I answered. I was lucky he didn't get all the information off of me. I should probably keep a low profile until I figure out what to do with Kabuto.
I moved my eyes to the side, looking behind me. "Someone's going to attack." I informed in an emotionless voice. "How do you know?" Sakura asked me.
"I just do. Be on your guard." I said. Unfortunately, Naruto was trying to be a bigshot and opened his big mouth, telling all the genin he wasn't afraid of them. I pressed my hand against my face and sighed.
"That idiot." I muttered. I looked back just in time to see genin from the Sound Village moving. Oh, shit. This isn't good. I acted immediately and took out a scroll, summoning my katana. I teleported behind one of the sound ninja and kicked his back. I spun around, blocking another attack with my blade.
Expect, when I did that, I let my guard, leaving my stomach exposed. The Sound Ninja saw and punched me in the stomach.
Dosu's POV
The girl flew back and hit the wall. I smirked "Foolish girl." I said. I quickly pinned her to the wall with my forearm. "You stupid little girl. Don't you know not to mess with the Sound Village?" I said. She glared at me, then smirked before into disappearing in a puff of smoke.
What?! Just a shadow clone?! I froze when I felt something sharp touch my back. "I'm surprised you weren't able to see through my clone." She said from behind me. "But how?" I asked with a bit of anger.
"I dropped my guard on purpose." The girl confessed. Where's Zaku and Kin? "If you're wondering where your teammates are, they're being held by my clones. Have a look." She took a step back so I could turn around.
Zaku and Kin were on their knees with their hands tied behind their backs while the girl's clones were holding them down by their shoulders. "You know... if you wanted a fight, you should've have just said so,"
She snapped her fingers, making her clones disappear. "Next time, I won't go so easy on you." The girl warned in a cold voice. I smirked, thinking she was joking. I looked at her and my eyes widened a bit.
Her red eyes were full of anger. "You think I'm kidding?" She challenged. She definitely wasn't kidding. "All right, you two! That's enough!" The Chunin Exam proctor yelled. "Don't worry. I'm done, so get off your high horse." The girl said before going back to her team.
Reika's POV
"Reika-san, are you alright?" Naruto asked me. "I'm fine. Don't worry." I assured him. "I just realized something about you, Reika." Kiba said. "And what's that?" I demanded in a cold tone. "You don't smile a whole lot." He said.
I raised a brow at him. "Smile?" I asked. "Yeah, you should smile more." Kiba said. I pulled down the mask that was covering my mouth and frowned at him. "How will my smiling make a difference about myself?" I demanded with a frown.
"Well, it's worth a shot."
Kiba stretched the corners of my mouth with his fingers so it looked like I was smiling. "See, don't you look feel better?" Kiba said with a playful smirk. I frowned and bit one of his hands. "Ouch!" He yelped as he pulled back his hand.
"Don't touch me." I warned before putting my mask back over my mouth. It's been a long time since the last time I smiled. Actually, I can't remember the last time I smiled out of joy. Ibiki told us to take our seats after that.
I sat next to Shino as Naruto sat in the desk in front of me. He was totally freaking out. I guess test aren't his strong suit. "Good grief, Uzumaki." I said to myself. We'll only have a few minutes to complete this exam.
The test began after gave out the rules and everyone started working. I got to work on my test as well. I didn't need to cheat because I knew all the answers. Once I was finished with the test, I flipped my paper over and looked at Naruto.
He doesn't have a clue that you could you use your skills without getting caught and now, he's losing it. "Naruto, can you hear me?" I said in his mind. "What in the world? Reika-san, is that you? How are you doing this?" He asked in my mind.
"It's a mind communication jutsu. Now, listen closely. I'm going to give you the answers to the test, and I won't be repeating myself, so you better listen up." I said. "Right, Reika-san. Fire away." He replied.
I began to give him the answers to the test. Why was I helping him? I guess it's because I didn't want the whole team to fail. "Thanks, Reika-san. I owe you one." Naruto said in my mind. I smirked. "Don't mention it." I said.
After another five to ten minutes, Ibiki revealed the tenth question. "It's up to us, isn't it?" I said. Ibiki looked at me. "It's up to us. Whether we want to continue or not. It's our decision if we're willing to go the extra mile. You want to know if we have what it takes to keep going," I spoke up.
I stood from my seat. "Well I, for one, am not quitting. I'm strong and I'm not going to let you or your shitty ass words put me down. I'm not the type that gives up so easily. I've never given up from a battle. So I'm damn well not going to give up over some words that will scare other people!" I said.
Ibiki's POV
I smirked. This girl is different. She has a strong heart. I wonder who trained her? No, I wonder who her parents are? "Reika, you said your name was? I need to have a word with you for a moment. Step outside." I said.
She narrowed her eyes at me, then walked outside. "The rest of you stay here until I get back." I ordered. I headed outside and found Reika leaning against the wall. Her eyes were closed and her hands were in her pockets.
"You wanted to speak with me?" She asked emotionlessly. "Yeah. That was quite a scene you pulled there." I said. "So? You were the one who was going to scare the kids into quitting." Reika stated. "But you knew before I could even do it. Have you taken this exam before?" I asked her.
"No, this is my first time." Reika said. "Then, how could you possibly know how these things work?" I asked. She shrugged. "There are just some things that need to be kept unsaid." She said before opening her eyes.
"I guess I'll have to keep a closer eye on you." I said with a smirk. "I guess you will." Reika said, smirking back at me. We walked back inside and Reika took her seat.
Reika's POV
Ibiki continued what he was going to say, trying to scare the kids into leaving. But to my surprise, all the genin stayed. Holy crap. Wasn't expecting that. So in the end, we all passed until the window broke. "Now what?" I mumbled.
A banner was placed in front of Ibiki, blocking him. A woman named Anko Mitarashi said she was going to show us to the next part of the exam. "You're early again, as usual." Ibiki said as stepped out from behind the banner.
She frowned and blushed out of embarrassment. When Anko looked at me, she went over to Ibiki. I used my cat ears to listen to what they were saying.
"Is that her?"
"Yeah, she's the one who I interrogated the other day."
"So, what was she in for?"
"She said, she killed someone, but she wouldn't tell me who."
"Did you at least get to know a bit about her?"
"Yeah, but just small things." Ibiki said to her.
I frowned. "All right, listen up, you maggots. Get plenty of rest because tomorrow won't be so easy." Anko announced. I could hear the smirk in her voice. "Dismissed."
I started to walk back to my house. When I opened my door, I found Zoey asleep on the couch. Lazy cat. I walked past her and went to my fridge, getting something to eat. I pulled out a piece of fish and began cutting it in small pieces.
I grilled the meat then set the pieces on a plate. "Zoey, dinner's ready if you want it." I called. She woke up and ran over to me. She went from lazy to greedy. I fed her a few pieces of the grilled fish then ate some myself.
I looked at Zoey's whiskers. They reminded me of Naruto. Why do I keep thinking about it? What is it about him that makes me... change? I don't know what it is. After I fed Zoey and ate my dinner, I rinsed out the dish and headed to my room.
I got changed in a black nightshirt and some purple pajama pants. I climbed in my bed and pulled the blanket over me. "No, I can't. I can't have friends. It's what he said." I asked before falling asleep.
