I opened my eyes as I heard a small meow. The cat's still here? I sighed and sat up. What's on my agenda for today? Well, today, I'm going to avoid my team and try to not to kill anyone who annoys me. Sure, that sounds easy.

Note: Sarcasm. I went into my closet and pulled out two outfits. The green/brown one's nice, but it shows a bit too much exposure. I went with the gray one because it had the mask and the hood. Cat ears, remember?

I skipped breakfast since I didn't have much of an appetite. The cat that stayed with my over night, stayed in bed. Something tells me she won't be moving any time soon. I walked toward the bridge with an orange cat following me.

"Morning, Reika-chan!" Naruto called as he waved to me. "Morning." I said. "You're late, Reika!" Sakura yelled at me. I ignored her and walked past them. I leaned against the railing, staying away from them.

"Kakashi is late as well, so I don't see the crime in being late myself." I stated as I gazed at the ground with my eyes closed. We waited a bit longer until I smelled Kakashi nearby. "Hey, guys. Sorry, I'm late. I got lost in the path of life." He explained.

"WHAT?!?!" Naruto and Sakura yelled at him. I rolled my eyes. "Liar." I murmured. "I like the new look, Reika." Sasuke said with a smirk. "Buzz off and flirt with someone else." I said coldly before looking down at the orange cat.

I blinked, noticing she was rubbing herself against my leg. "Let's just get this over with." I said to Kakashi. Our first mission was pulling weeds out of some woman's garden. Too boring. My ear twitched under my hood, signaling me something was going to happen.

I looked over at Naruto. That idiot. He's pulling out the weeds along with the herbs. I sighed as I heard him get hit. I went back to pulling the weeds until I saw a mixed cat in front of me. I raised a brow at it. "Meow~." I stared at it a bit longer before going back to pulling out the weeds.

The next mission was getting garbage out of a river. Kakashi laid against a tree, reading a book. I picked up the cans that were in the river as I kept my distance from the team. "Aaaah!" I looked over, seeing Naruto being carried away by the river.

I stayed where I was and did my job, letting Sasuke save him. "Idiot." I murmured as I punctured an empty soda can with the stick my hand.

The final mission was to walk a couple of dogs. I was never really fond of dogs. The one I was walking kept growling at me. I glared down at it. The dog's growling stopped and was replaced with whimpers.

"Good. Now, be a good boy and stay quiet." I ordered in a cold tone. The dog obeyed and stayed quiet. I looked at Naruto, seeing he was having trouble with his dog. Did he have to choose the biggest dog?

"That's not a place for dogs! That's a minefield!" Naruto said as the dog dragged him toward the mines. He got somewhat exploded from the mines, but the dog looked like it didn't have a scratch on it. I sighed as Sakura and Sasuke did the same.

After we were finished with missions, Sakura and Sasuke dragged Naruto back to the village. "You're so hopeless, Naruto." Sakura said. I rolled my eyes and walked past them. "Huh? Reika-chan, where are you going?" Naruto asked.

"I'm going home." I answered emotionlessly. "You are? But Reika-cha-"

"Do not address me as Reika-chan. We're not friends. If anything, you will address me as Reika-san. Got it?" I said. "Sure thing, Reika-san!" Naruto said, saluting me. Why is this human so cheerful?

Doesn't he know I could kill him at any moment? I shook my head, forgetting about it, and headed to my house without another word. After I got home, I took off my shoes and hood, and lazily flopped on my couch.

I noticed the cat that was with me last night was gone. I guess she went for a walk. I stared at the ceiling until I felt myself falling asleep.

(Dream)

"What a freak."

"She doesn't belong here."

"She's ugly."

"Disgusting creature."

"A monster."

"Freak."

"Disgusting."

Go ahead. Keep insulting me. It doesn't bother me anymore. I'm used to it. You think these words can hurt me? Think again. I've already been hurt once. I don't care if it happens again. "Reika-san."

I glanced to my right, spotting Naruto. "Get lost, human." I ordered. "This way, Reika-san!" Naruto called. "I said, get lost." I said, walking away. "Why do you hate me, Reika-san? Do you really want me to disappear?"  Naruto said.

I gasped when he started to melt. "Reika... san..." Naruto said slowly, melting away. My eyes widened in horror as he became a puddle of blood. I began to hyperventilate at the scene. How did this happen? Why did this happen?

"Naruto!"

(Dream Ends)

My eyes snapped open, staring at the ceiling emotionlessly. "It was just a dream." I told myself as my hand placed itself over my forehead. I sat up and looked towards the door when I heard a knocking. I raised an unamused brow at the door.

Who's here? I pulled my hood over my head, then answered the door. "Uzumaki? Haruno and Uchiha? What the hell are you doing here?" I demanded coldly. "We wanted to know if you wanted to get something to eat, Reika-san." Naruto explained.

I frowned. "I'm not hungry." I said quickly. "Come on Reika-san. Have some fun with us." Naruto insisted. I stared at him. "Okay, I'll go." I said. We all went to Ichiraku's. "What kind of food does this place serve?" I asked Naruto.

"It serves the best ramen you could ever taste. Believe it." Naruto said. "What's ramen?" I asked. Naruto's jaw dropped open. "You've never tasted ramen?!" He asked, or shouted. I shook my head.

"Hey, Teuchi! We need two bowls of ramen! Stat!" Naruto called. I raised a brow at him. "What did I say?" I asked with a sweat drop. "It's not you. Naruto's just shocked that you've never tasted ramen before." Sakura explained.

"I see." I mumbled, resting a hand on my cheek, bored. When our food was brought to us, I watched as Naruto chowed down on his ramen. I stared down at the bowl in front of me. "Give it a taste, Reika-san. It's really good." Naruto said as he ate.

I looked at him before picking up my chopsticks. I took a bite out of the ramen. "So? How does it taste?" Naruto asked. I motioned him to come closer to me. He leaned toward me and I gently flicked his nose.

"Hey, what was that for, Reika-san?" Naruto whined. "It's good. I like it." I said, referring to the ramen. He gasped with excitement and hugged me. I blushed horribly. "Naruto, you're hugging me!" I said, panicking.

Naruto looked at me, surprised. "Reika-san... you called me by my first name! I knew you didn't hate me!" He cheered and hugged me again. "Ah!" I freaked out and shoved him away, pushing him off his chair. "Ow.." Naruto moaned in slight pain.

"You startled me." I said. "Sorry about that, Reika-san." He apologized. "I'm going home. Thanks for the ramen." I said before walking to my apartment. I hate having to hide who I am. I growled under my breath and walked faster until I bumped into someone.

I looked up and saw I had bumped into a boy with red hair and blue eyes. He had dark rings around his eyes and a writing that said "love" above his left eye. I also noticed he had a gourd on his back.

He's definitely not from this village. But I hate him because he's a human. "I'm curious." He spoke. I frowned at him in confusion. "About?" I demanded. "I'm curious... about how I'm already interested in you, and yet, I don't even know you." He said.

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever." I said, walking past him. Instead of going straight home, I went to the training grounds to get some training in. I jumped up and grabbed onto a tree branch. I held on with both hands and began to do pull-ups.

"Hello, up there!" I ignored the calling voice and kept doing my pull ups. "Can you hear me?" The voice called up to me. "Yeah, I can hear you." I answered, grunting slightly as I continued to do my pull-ups.

I looked down, catching a glance of a boy with a black, bowl-cut hairstyle, bushy eyebrows, wearing a green jumpsuit. He stared up at me as I hung from the tree. I stared back, waiting for him to saying something.

"Well, say something, will ya? Don't just stare at me like that." I said before going back to doing pull-ups. I did fifteen more, then dropped to the ground. I got on the ground and began to do a hundred push ups. "You don't train like a rookie."

I screamed and fell on my back when the boy unexpectedly showed up beside me. "You almost gave me a heart attack!" I snapped. "I'm sorry. So, are you a rookie?" He said. My eye twitched in annoyance.

I'm going to kill this guy if he keeps bugging me. "Leave me alone." I said. I stood up and walked to my house. I opened the door to my apartment, then flopped on my couch. "Reika-san, you're home!" I screamed and fell off my couch.

"What are you doing in my house, Uzumaki? How did you even get in?" I demanded. "We were waiting for you, Reika-san. Plus, your door was unlocked." Naruto explained. "We?" I asked. "Yeah. Me, Sakura, and Sasuke. Believe it." He said.

They're here too?! I face palmed and growled in my hand. "Where are those two?" I demanded through my hand. "Well, Sasuke is in the hallway and Sakura's in your room." Naruto said. "What?!" I ran to my room and found Sakura picking up my journal. "Put it down, Haruno!" I ordered.

She jumped at the tone of my voice and quickly placed my journal back on my dresser. "Get out of my room. Now." I ordered. She quickly ran out of my room and into the living room. "Uchiha. Living room. Now." I said, pointing to the living room.

Sasuke looked at me, then walked towards the living room. I sighed and sat down in a chair while the three of them sat on the couch across from me. "Well?" I asked. "Well, what?" Sakura asked. "Why are you all here?" I demanded.

"We want to get to know you, Reika-san." Naruto said.

"Okay. What do you want to know?"

"Well, what do you want to talk about?"

"I don't know."

I looked over and saw the black cat from last night crawling through the window.

"I didn't know you had a cat." Sakura said as the cat walked across the floor. I stared at it as it meowed and licked its paw. "She's so cute." Sakura commented as she petted the cat's head. "She doesn't belong to me." I stated, leaning back in my chair.

"She doesn't?" She asked. "No, she just comes and goes as she pleases." I said before looking at the cat. Naruto frowned at the cat. "Stupid cat." Naruto said. I could tell he was mad from the time that last cat cut his face.

"You shouldn't go being angry at a creature that's done nothing to you, Uzumaki." I said to him. I rolled my eyes. "Sorry, Reika-san." He apologized. I rolled my eyes. "Is there anything else you guys want to tell me?" I asked impatiently.

"Why do you hate us, Reika-san?" Naruto asked. I was taken aback by his question. "It's complicated." I answered, frowning. "What do you mean?" Naruto asked. I shook my head. "Nothing. I'll see you guys tomorrow." I said quietly.

They stood up and walked out the door. I sighed, then looked at the cat, seeing it was staring at me. "What are you looking at?" I asked before heading to the bathroom. I took a shower, letting the warm water hit my face.

When I was finished, I walked to my room with water droplets running down my body. I didn't bother grabbing a towel. "Meow~." The black cat jumped on my bed and lied down. "I ought to give you a name so I won't keep calling you Cat." I said.

"Meow~?" She looked at me as if saying, "I don't get it." I sighed. "I'll call you Zoey then." I said before pulling on a buttoned pajama shirt with matching pajama pants. I lied down on my bed and went to sleep.

(Next Day) *She is wearing the outfit she wore yesterday, i.e. the outfit on the right*

"Hey, Sakura, you're late." Naruto said as she approached us. "Uh, right." She looked at Sasuke. "Good morning, Sasuke." She greeted. "Morning." He replied. She seems different... Not my concern. We walked in the building and found a lot of genin on the second floor.

"Please, we're supposed to go in there." A girl with brown hair said. She tried getting past the two genin but the pushed her back. Why are they trying to go in there anyway? We're suppose to be on the third floor. I looked up at the room number, saying it was the third floor.

Ah, I see. It's a genjutsu. "Why don't you two just drop the act already?" I said, walking up to them. "What was that, sweetheart?" The genin with the bandage said. "This is the second floor. Why are you fooling us?" I demanded.

"What are you talking about, Reika-san? This is the third floor." Naruto said. "You mean, you don't see it? This is a genjutsu." I stated. I looked at the genin in front of me. "Undo the jutsu. Now." I commanded.

They smirked at me and undid the jutsu. "Whoa, how did she know?" I heard someone ask. Foolish human. It wasn't that hard to spot. "So, you saw through the genjutsu, huh? Then let's see you see through this!" The genin with the bandage going across his face went to throw a kick at me.

I saw this coming. I had a kunai knife tucked in my sleeve. Sasuke pulled me back and went to kick the genin until some guy in a green jumpsuit stopped. I took a look at him. Where have I seen him before?

Oh, yeah. He was the one bugging me yesterday. Well, whoever he is, he's quick. He was able to stop the Uchiha's attack. "What do you think you're doing? Weren't you the one who said to keep a low profile?" A boy with brown hair asked the guy in the jumpsuit.

"I know, but..." he trailed off. "Forget it. It's over." The girl who got hit said. Her bruises her gone. I guess that was part of the genjutsu, too."Let's go. I can't stand being here any longer." I said, turning around.

"Right, Reika-san." Naruto said, quickly following me. I lead the team towards the correct floor we were suppose to be on. "You, with the attitude. Hold on." I stopped walking. "Now what?" I murmured coldly.

I turned around, spotting the green jumpsuit guy. "Please tell me you're here to fight the Uchiha." I said before turning back around. "No. I'm here to fight you. The one with the hood over her head." He said.

I didn't feel like fighting him right now. "Maybe some other time. I'm not in the mood." I said. "I want to fight you. I am not going to take no for an answer."

Man, this guy is persistent. He's not gonna give up until he gets what he want. "Fine, I'll fight you." I said. I turned around to face him. "Hold on. I get him first." Naruto said. "No, Naruto. You need to save your strength." I said to him.

"Yes, Reika-san. Wait a minute. Did you just call me by my first name again?" Naruto asked. I blinked surprised. I did just call me him by his first name again. What's happening to me? "Nothing. Just forget about it." I ordered.

I gazed at the floor, thinking of a plan to end this fight quickly. I looked at him and began to walk toward him. "Reika-san?" Sakura asked, giving me a confused look. I ignored her and approached him. When I was close to the boy, I got close to his ear and whispered, "You've made the biggest mistake of your life."

I quickly kicked his stomach, sending him flying towards the wall. When his back made impact with the wall, I drove my knee into his stomach, making him cough. I spun around, kicking him in the head, making him fall to the ground.

The boy shakily tried standing to his feet, but I kicked him again, making him roll on his back. I lightly pressed my foot over his neck, staring down at him emotionlessly. "For someone who moves fast, you're pretty slow." I said to him.

Lee's POV

She's too fast. I hardly saw her move. It's like it all happened in one quick movement. I grunted slightly as she pressed her foot on my throat a bit rougher, nearly choking me. "Tell me, boy. Why shouldn't I end your life? Right here, right now." The girl said.

I coughed slightly when she pressed her foot down harder. "Well?" She demanded. I tried to speak, but I couldn't because of her foot. "Hmm... On second thought, I won't kill you. I've decided I want to keep you alive a bit longer,"

She removed her foot from my throat and took a step back so I could sit up. I coughed and rubbed my throat. "But why? Why didn't you kill me, Miss?" I asked her.

"Oh, don't worry. I will kill you some day, but not today. But heed my warning, boy: Don't ever try to pick a fight with me again or I will kill you. That's a promise." She said, frowning at me with a deadly glare. I gulped, swallowing the lump in my throat.

I could tell she wasn't joking. "Uzumaki, Haruno, Uchiha. Let's go. We're leaving." She said. Man, she's very scary. A little bit scarier than Tenten. I really thought she was going to kill. My body's shaking even.

I watched as she walked past her team and they quickly followed her. "Wait a second!" I called to her. She stopped walking. "Who are you? Tell me your name." I said to her. Her team looked at her, waiting for an answer.

"Reika. My name... is Reika." She said quietly before walking again with her team following her. Reika, huh? She might be stronger than Neji. I'm not saying she is strong her than Neji. I'm saying she might be.

Reika's POV

"That was amazing, Reika-san! You took down Bushy Brows with no sweat! Believe it!" Naruto said with excitement. "Save your excitement for later, Uzumaki. Right now, you need to focus on the exams." I said.

"Yes, Reika-san." He said. I opened the doors to the correct room number and walked inside with my team.
