"Kabuto, are you done over there?" I asked impatiently as he was getting in his disguise. "If you ask that one more time, I'll tug your ear." He warned as he put on the ANBU mask. "Tug my ear, and I'll rip off yours." I shot back.

"Now, now, you two. Don't fight." Orochimaru said as he leaned against the tree. "Forgive me, sir. But it's hard to focus on my task when Reika keeps rudely interrupting me."Kabuto mentioned. I rolled my eyes. "Sure, I'm the distraction." I said sarcastically.

"I'd watch it if I were you Reika. Unless you don't want anything to happen to your cat," Kabuto said as he held up Zoey by the scruff of her neck. I gasped as she tried to wriggle out of his grasp. How did he get Zoey? When did he get Zoey?

"Asshole! Let go of my cat!" I snapped before charging at him. I made a grab for Zoey, but Kabuto had something else in mind. As I was grabbing for Zoey, he used his other hand to grab my wrist and twist it behind my back, dropping Zoey in the process.

I grunted when he pinned against a tree with my arm still behind my back. "You should really think twice before saying something you'll regret." Kabuto advised, twisting my arm even more. "Let go of me, human!" I snapped, trying to get out of his hold.

"Kabuto, that's enough. Let Reika go now." Orochimaru ordered. Kabuto did as he was told and let me go. I turned around and attempted to punch Kabuto's face in until Orochimaru stopped me. "That'll be enough of that." He said.

I frowned and backed off. That sucks because I really wanted to punch Kabuto for touching Zoey and for tricking me like that. I frowned at the four eyed ninja as Zoey climbed up my body and rested herself on my left shoulder. 

"Do you know what to do, Reika?" Orochimaru asked, looking at me. "Yes, sir." I replied, bowing my head to him. "You better not fail, Reika." Kabuto teased with a smirk. "Any more nonsense out of you, and I'm breaking your neck." I said coldly.

"That is if you can keep up with me." Kabuto said, revealing his scalpel. "Is that a challenge?" I demanded as I held up my sharp, claw-like nails. "That's enough, you two. Reika, go on into the village. Kabuto and I will join you shortly." Orochimaru said.

"Yes, master," I bowed one more time before pulling on mask and hoodie and heading inside the village. I headed to the finals and headed towards the balcony since that's where the competitors were supposed to be until it was their turn to fight.

"There you are, Reika. We were beginning to think you weren't gonna show." Shikamaru said. I didn't say anything as I stood by Naruto. "Reika-san, you're up first." He informed. "Who am I facing?" I asked. "Uh," He looked towards the arena. 

"Her. That girl down there." Naruto pointed towards the arena, pointing a girl dressed in yellow.

"I see." I murmured. I jumped over the railing and into the arena, landing in a kneeling position. "Are you Reika?" The proctor asked me. "Duh." I answered bluntly. He rolled his eyes and told the other girl to come forward.

She walked towards me, but her hand was out in front of her, as if feeling for something to grab onto. Wait a sec, is she blind? "State your name." The proctor said to her. "My name is Mika. Mika Kouki." The girl introduced softly.

It amazed me she was able to get to the finals while fighting blind. She must be really talented. "You guys know the rules. You may use any technique you'd like and you will keep fighting until the opponent forfeits or can no longer continue." The proctor said.

Mika and I gave him a nod, saying we understood. "Good. Then, if you two are ready, you can begin." He said. I looked at Mika as she stood there. "It's an honor to fight you, Miss Reika." She said with a small smile.

"Thank you. It's an honor to fight you as well. But before we fight, there's something I want to ask you." I said. "Of course. Ask me anything." She insisted.

"I noticed you're blind."

"That is correct. I am blind."

"How were you able to make it to the exams without being able to see?"

Mika smirked before answering, "You'll find out soon enough, Miss Reika." The way she said that had me a little concerned. I'll find out soon enough, huh? We'll see about that. I got in my fighting position as she did the same.

We charged at each other at the same time and began to fight with taijutsu. Damn, I didn't expect her to be this good. "A little bug like you needs to be squashed." Mika mentioned. She did three backflips before landing in a kneeling positon.

Mika quickly did some hand signs until she had her hands in a tiger sign. She began muttering a few words under breath. I used my ears so I could what she was saying.

"I am light. I am one too strong to fight. Go away where the darkness dwells. I'll make sure you burn in hell. Go away and leave my sight, and take with you this dreadful night."

What kind of jutsu is she performing? I gasped when my heart began to thud against my chest. My knees shook until I fell to the ground, and my whole body began to shake. "What is this? Why am I feeling this?" I said, placing a hand over my chest.

I looked at Mika as she smirked at me. "Come, let's explore your most dreadful memory together." Mika said. She chuckled darkly as a black fog began to surround us. "Yes, that's it.  Come, and remember. Remember what happened that night." Mika said somewhere around me.

I shut my eyes, trying to get her out of my head, but when I opened my eyes, the arena was completely different. Instead, I saw flames and burning houses. Wait a second. This is... my home! I gasped when I saw my brother.

"T... Takeru?" I said in disbelief. "I'm all alone up there, Reika. But I won't be for long. Because you'll be joining me. Like family should." Takeru said. "No... I... I still have to avenge you." I said. "Why didn't you save me, Reika? Why did you want me to die?" My brother demanded.

I lowered my head in shame as tears started to escape my eyes. "I didn't want you to die. I swear." I sobbed lightly. "LIAR!!" Takeru roared. "You wanted me dead the moment Mom and Dad left us! You hated me! You always have!" He screamed.

"I didn't! I never hated you, Big brother! I loved you! I swear, I never wanted you to leave me!" I begged, trying to reason with him. I hugged myself as I began to sob. I gasped when Takeru grabbed my throat and began to choke me.

"It's time you learned your lesson, Little sister." He said coldly. My fingers wrapped around his wrists, trying to make him let go of me.

Mika's POV

This is most interesting. I wasn't expecting her to cry. It must be a painful memory to go back to. "Yes, that's it. Come, and remember that fearful night." I said with a smirk. Golden butterflies left my body and surrounded Reika. I heard her beginning to sob louder.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Takeru. I'm sorry this happened." I heard Reika say through her sobs.

Reika's POV

"Takeru, please. Stop. It hurts." I said as he continued to strangle me. "Reika-san, snap out of it!" My eyes snapped open. Naruto? Yes, it is him. I can hear his voice. My eyes went to my brother's face as it quickly faded to Mika's face.

She's the one who's strangling me. "Just die already!" Mika said as she continued to choke me. I frowned at him. "You bitch. How dare you fuck with my head." I said coldly. I grabbed the front of her dress and smashed my forehead against hers.

"Guh!" Mika took a couple of steps as she released my throat. I stood to my feet as the flames dispersed. The arena appeared again as the crowd was still watching. I glared over at Mika as she stood her ground, her hands balled up into tight fists.

"You damn, filthy bitch! How dare you! I'll make you pay for that!" Mika said angrily. "You're the one who's gonna pay!" I said as I charged at her. I punched her twice in the face, then slammed my hand into her stomach. Mika gasped from the impact, making me smirk.

"Ninja Art: Disabling Jutsu!" Mika looked at me in shock as her hair moved away from one of her eyes, showing me her blind eye. Mika flew off her feet, and landed on her back. "My body... I can't move it." Mika said as she tried to move her limbs.

"You won't be moving any time soon. My disabling jutsu disabled you to move any part of your body. In other words, you're like a lifeless doll." I said with a smirk. "But..." Mika hummed softly, wanting me to continue.

"You didn't disappoint me like the last human who went up against me." I said. "Tell me. What happened to the last person who fought you?" Mika asked in an emotionless tone. "I killed him." I answered simply.

"I see," Mika smiled sadly as her hair covered her face. "It would be an honor to be killed by someone of the Takema Clan." She smiled. "No," I stared down at her with an unamused look. "I'm not going to kill you." I told her.

"Why not?"

I sighed. "Come on. Surely, you can't be that stupid," I walked over to her and kneeled down by her side. "If I were to kill you, Lord Orochimaru would be very displeased." I whispered near her ear. Mika gasped slightly and turned her head slightly towards me.

"You knew?"

"Yeah."

"But when?"

"When I banged my head against yours, I got a whiff of your scent. When I did, I smelled another scent on you. It didn't take me long to realize it was Lord Orochimaru's scent. You're a subordinate of his."

Mika smiled and looked towards the sky, not that she could see anything. She was blind, after all. "I see," She whispered before saying, "Oi, proctor. I forefeit. I can't move my body, so I can't fight anymore." 

"Fine, then. Because the opponent forfeits, the winner of this match is Reika Takuma." The exam proctor announced. A few medic people came with a stretcher and carried Mika's body away. "See you soon, Miss Takema." Mika said before she was carried away.

I watched her leave, then headed towards the balcony where Naruto and Shikamaru were at. "That was amazing, Reika-san! You were awesome!" Naruto cheered. "Naruto, I want to ask you something." I said.

"Sure. What is it?"

"Did you call my name earlier?"

"What?"

"During the exams, when I was fighting, I heard your voice. Was it you, or did I imagine that?" 

"No, Reika-san. I did call out to you. I saw you crying when you were trapped in that girl's genjutsu. I got so worried, that I just had to do something. So, I called out to you." 

I lightly hit his head, not enough to actually hurt him. "You knucklehead. You have nothing to worry about. Really." I reassured him. I gave a small smile, then looked at the arena when Kakashi and Sasuke showed up.

"Excuse me," I excused myself as I headed towards up the stairs. "Oi, why are you hiding?" I asked as I tugged on Kabuto's cloak. "Shh. You're going to blow our cover." He said. I sniffed the cloak, then frowned. "You smell like a dog." I growled.

Actually, he smells like Kiba and Akamaru. I face palmed. "Never mind. I can already guess what you did. So, are we all set up?" I asked. "Just about." Kabuto replied. "Finally," I looked around the floor. "Where's my cat?" I demanded.

He pointed to his ankle. I looked down and saw Zoey, rubbing her fur up against his leg. How did I miss that? "You traitor." I said as I picked her up. Zoey meowed and rubbed her face on my chest, happy to see me.

"You're lucky I'm not going to punish you." I said as I petted her head. All we had to do was sit back and wait for the right moment to attack.
