ღFirst Impression (Pt. 1)ღ
As I spat out my crafty insults,
it dawned on me that I couldn't remember the last time I've had a visitor...
...especially one quite as unique as he.
Ruffled, short hair as dark as the leftover soot in the fireplace.
Indifferent eyes that shimmered with a slight hazel hue.
A hooded, gray jacket worn over his school uniform.
Studded piercings on the left ear.
Bangles on the right wrist.
And a loose necklace with a thunderbolt charm
that swung back and forth above the neckline of his dress shirt each time he adjusted his shirt cuffs.
His overbearing way of speaking provided enough insight on his questionable character.
Everything from his assertive and confident demeanor
down to his slightly edgy style
screamed "rebellious phase."
The only thing missing was brightly-colored highlights.
Yamasato Kaito...
My first impression of him was--
that he reminded me of the type of guy
I hated the most.
Never taking anything seriously...
.
.
.
"Feelings? Don't be ridiculous."
.
.
.
Pretending to care when it's convenient...
.
.
.
"You know how much you mean to me, right?"
.
.
.
And throwing people away easily as if they were children's toys...
.
.
.
"Who would fall for someone like you?"
.
.
.
This type of person was easy to spot.
Is it worthwhile to show courtesy at the risk of your own pride?
To be nice without knowing who could take advantage?
Having encountered these kinds
of people before,
the result was always the same.
Time and time again,
one thing was made clear to me--
these people would never change.
