The following morning, I went outside to see who was knocking on the door.
On my way, mom hurriedly jumped out of the kitchen just to get to the door.

"It's you," she says with surprise.
I looked a little further and Aaron walks inside.

What's he doing here?
Dalton gets excited when he saw him. He ran out from finishing his breakfast and jumped on him.
"Good morning champ, are you ready?" Aaron said.

"Yes uncle, I am," Dalton replied in his little voice...

They both faced each other and talked.
I had no clue what was happening before mom reminded me of Dalton's sports day at school.
Mrs. Jane walks him back to his room to change, right after eating.
I also got ready and came down dressed.

Aaron looks at me and smiled.
"Are you also coming?" He says.
"Yes! Is there a problem?" I answered back rudely.

He twirls his eyes and looked away. Mom however used that as a chance and spanked my head.
"Behave yourself,?".
She says and went to the kitchen.

Dalton rushed out of his bedroom
wearing a blue upon-blue sports attire.

Aaron couldn't help but get emotional, he picks him up from the ground and kissed his cheeks.

We went to school, the parents there gossiped as soon as we came down from the car.
I'm sure they're surprised to see someone else other than my mom.
She's been my pulse one, anytime Dalton has a function at school.

They all must be wondering. Who's that man?, Maybe Dalton's dad?..
I've never been given a chance to seat with the parents of the school, this time the leader of the parents club, Mrs. Linda, personally Invited me to seat with the rest of the parents.

I sat down on a chair when the anchor of the game called all the dads and sons outside to participate.
Aaron spots me from the crowd.
He picks up Dalton and they both waved at me from the field.

The competition began.
The first game was a relay race.
Dalton and Aaron both had a chance of winning, but unfortunately, someone else won.
Leaving them for the third position

After the games, Aaron and Dalton both walked back to their seats. They were both coughing out of exhaustion.
"Don't tell me, you  exhausted?"
I cleaned off Dalton's face

Aaron laughed.
"Sure, after all, we did have fun, even though we  came to the third position,"
He gets up to leave.

We all came back home after some time.

Mom walks out of her room after Dalton practically screamed her name so loud.
"What is it, are you back my child,'
She rushed from her bedroom, comes downstairs, and picked him up from the ground.
