Wow. July 24, 2020. The day that I finished writing this book. I started July 2019. So this whole thing of 20k+ words was written in less than a year.

I honestly can't believe it's over.

I feel that I was also in the story with my characters.

Originally this was something I wrote to get into the wattys, I actually didn't even end up trying anymore. Because over time it became more about teaching about my culture, about my life, about my country.

To answer any questions, yes, I'm from ES, the country Sam and Cathy are from, and most of what they went through, I did too.

My hands are honestly trembling while writing this. Over the last year I've shared some of my most precious memories with this book. From seeing a pila for the first time, to finally breaking the ice with my nieces.

If you have any questions at all about life in ES, please, as away! That's my main goal with this now, to educate people of my little known culture.

There's not much left to say other than thank you, to my readers, to my gc members, and to some of my family, who let me use their reals names.

So without further ado, I'll be making my exit, but just know, this entire story, wasn't entirely made up.

Because I couldn't of done it without every single one of my characters next to me <3333
