"Alana," Jeffrey leans over his wife with a smile on his face. "How are you enjoying our vacation?"

"It's perfect, Jeffrey. We didn't even have to go very far. Just where are we?"

"About two miles from the house. This is my get away from life escape. If you would prefer we can go where ever you want." Jeffrey says gently caressing her face.

"I'm happy here. You're spoiling me, though." Alana tells him smiling.

"Well that's my job. I messed up when we were first married, I want to do things right now that we don't have to worry about any one coming after you."

Both Jay and Michael have mentioned wanting to be turned. Jeffrey refuses to even consider it until Talia is old enough to decide what she would like to do. That gives both the males the chance to think about it some more. Four years more any way.

Alana hopes they don't ask again. She doesn't want them to lose their humanity. Jeffrey has explained to her that many of the vampires change when they turn. She loves them just how they are.

They agreed to wait, but silently are determined to not give up on becoming a vampire.

Clara was less thrilled. She doesn't want to lose her brother's blood line now that she just found it again.

Maria is content at this point to being a human servant. She sees the advantages to being a vampire but worries that the weakness that destroyed her parents would come out if she became a vampire. If that happened then she would be killed. She just found her sister again and has no desire to lose her already.

Jeffrey is more than happy to let things remain the same at this point. Besides it will be better for her to be healed and healthy before attempting to be turned. 

Having Maria around makes Alana happy and so he doesn't want to mess with that.

"What are you going to do with Malia now?" Alana says breaking his pleasant thoughts with less pleasant ones.

Jeffrey sighs, "I don't know. Because of her actions you still live and I was able to win against the Prince. For that she deserves to be rewarded, but you don't wish for her to remain at the house. But as long as Chronos remains, she will need to too. She needs to be a vampire for at least ten years before she'll be allowed to be on her own."

"Ten years?" Alana says confused.

"It takes that long for a vampire to learn good enough control over their new lives. It will likely take even longer since she also has two abilities she needs to learn to control."

"I see, so does that mean that Chronos will be staying for that long?" Alana is trying to understand how things work.

"No, he won't be able to stay away from work that long. Most he'll be able to do from home, but there will be times when he'll need to go traveling and go to the office."

"Just where is this office?"

Jeffrey holds back his laugh at the jealous tone Alana has. He knows that she doesn't want him to leave her.

"Don't worry, I've already set in motion for someone to take over for me. I'll be spending as much time with you as you wish. If you get sick of me I can always start up my medical practice again." Jeffrey says nuzzling her hair now.

"Clara would like to stay for an extended time so that she can bring out my sister's and my servant's powers. She won't do so without your permission, though."

Jeffrey sits back and looks at Alana puzzled. "What is with your grandmother any way?"

"You mean her not fighting with you or giving you trouble?" Jeffrey nods. "It's because you saved both of her granddaughters. You married one after saving her from demonkin and gave the second one a chance at life. She's not sure what she can do to repay you."

Jeffrey snorts, "She doesn't owe me anything. You are more than enough payment when you agreed to marry me. Maria is just frosting on the already delicious cake. I am by far getting the best deal for my actions."

"She doesn't want her bloodline to die." Alana says and Jeffrey looks at her seriously.

"Would you like to have children, Alana?"

"Yes, I would. Maria has been talking to me and as she does memories of my past have been coming up. I loved children, Jeffrey. I always wanted a lot of them. When I was told that I likely wouldn't be able to have any it devastated me. Now I have the chance to have as many as I want."

"You don't have to have just my children. You could have Jay and Michael's as well."

Alana looks at him in shock before smiling at him and throwing her arms around him. "Thank you, Jeffrey, I know you aren't all that thrilled with the idea."

"To tell you the truth, I'm not ready to have more dhampir children just yet, but I know any children you have with your servants will be powerful and will make your grandmother very happy." Jeffrey says distractedly as he draws on Alana's skin.

"It will have to wait then, because your children will be first. When you are ready, Jeffrey. That will be soon enough. I'm in no hurry. I'm still rather young myself and have no real desire to be a mother just yet. I would like to travel and see some of the beauty this world holds."

"By all means, my love, your wish will be my command. We'll work on getting you a passport and start making plans for traveling around the world. Once I have my replacement in place and you have your passport we'll become globetrotters. We'll go where ever you want to go and take as many photos as you wish. I'll dedicate rooms to our souvenirs we'll bring home." Jeffrey tells her with a smile in his eyes.

Alana had still under him at his words. "You mean it?"

"Yes, of course, I'll take you where ever you want."

"No, not that. You called me love. You've never called me love before."

"Yes, I mean it." Jeffrey tells her smiling brightly as she holds him tight to her so he can barely breathe.

"I love you too." Alana whispers and he stiffens. They both feel an influx of power greater than any they've felt before.

It wasn't long before Clara comes into the room. It is obvious that she was running to get there as fast as she could. Once she has her breath she says, "You've unlocked the last and greatest of all your powers, Alana. Congratulations!" Clara tells her. She knew that it could only happen if they both fell in love with the other.
