Ari's POV

I smile at Justin meanwhile my thoughts are running around my head. Fighting with each other about what's right. I feel horrible that I made Justin scared about losing us and me...maybe I have been going out too much but I'm young and this is the age I should be enjoying my life right?
Justin and I have been through a lot together like...a lot it was just nice hanging out with people who didn't know my past. I'd never cheat on Justin he's my entire universe and I'd never hurt him like that, he's not the bad guy he used to be he's a total softie nowadays.

Justin notices I'm not mentally in the room

Justin: Babe? You okay?

His voice breaks my spiralling thoughts

Me: Uh yeah I'm good
Justin: You sure?

I nod unconvincingly

Justin: What is it?
Me: Just in my head that's all

Justin pulls me into him and kisses my forehead giving me a tight hug and I feel myself relax in his arms. He's my safe place, my home.

Justin: Okay, go get ready for the surprise
Me: Where are we going

Justin looks at me confused

Justin: It's a surprise?
Me: No I know but I need to know how to dress like is it a dressy kind of surprise or a chill comfy clothes kind of surprise or is it a beach kinda surprise?

Justin thinks and then checks the time

Justin: Um comfy/warm clothes

I look at him intrigued

Me: Okay..?

He smiles and kisses my forehead again, I smile and go upstairs.

Justin's POV

While Ari gets dressed I start prepping for the date, I hope she likes it. I pack the bag with as much stuff as I think we'll need and everything that will hopefully make today/tonight special. I check the time again,

Me*to myself*:  3:30 okay so..by the time we do that..an get there..yup that should be perfect

I hear Ari come down the stairs, she comes into the living room.

Ari: Okay, ready

I look at her and smile, she's so adorable

Ari: What?

She smiles back

Me: Nothing, you're just cute
Ari: Oh, you said warm so I thought your hoodie would be best hope that's okay?
Me: Of course baby what's mine is yours...but you're not keeping my hoodie

She giggles

Me: Okay let's go

I grab our bags, walk out to the car and get in

Ari: Babe I've been thinking Yknow this year for Christmas?

I start driving

Me: Hm?
Ari: Can we decorate early?
Me: How early?
Ari: Like..next week?
Me: Uh..I mean I guess
Ari: I mean..we don't have to it was just an idea to get in the holiday vibe since we don't get snow here so it never feels like Christmas when it's Christmas so that's why I wanna start early but it's okay
Me: No no we can, I'll start looking for Christmas Tree farms tomorrow
Ari: Yay! Thank you baby!

I smile, I mean I don't see the point of decorating in November...it's not Christmas until December but I'll do anything to make her happy. In fact that gives me an idea...I smile as I drive along with my idea forming in my head.

Ari: Everything okay?
Me: Oh yeah I'm good

We drive into a car park and park up

Me: Okay we're here

Ari looks around

Ari: Here?
Me: Yea, trust me you'll love it
Ari: Okay

I turn the car off and get out and go around to Ari's side opening the door for her

Ari: Such a gentleman
Me: Only for you baby

I grab the bags off the back seat

Ari: So can I know what the surprise is now
Me: Hmm okay you can know the first part
Ari: Oo okay
Me: We're going on a little nature walk through the forest, just us
Ari: A nature walk?
Me: Y-yeah..oh gosh you hate the idea...I-
Ari: Baby! Calm down, I love it I just didn't know you knew that part of me that loves nature
Me: You're my baby I know a lot of things you prob don't think I do

She smiles, I get hold of her hand interlocking our fingers and head into the forest with her. We hear all different types of song birds singing their own little tunes, I look at Ari as she's looking up in the trees trying to spot one of them. She has the biggest smile on her face, and I can't help but smile like an idiot looking at her. She may look and act different to how she did when we met but deep down she's still that little nature loving nerdy girl I fell in love with at school.

Ari: Look! I see one! It's a Baltimore Oriole, it's common in eastern North America. It got its name from the males colors likeness to those on the coat-of-arms of the 17th century Lord Baltimore

I have no idea what she's just said but I nod along and look in the direction she is

Me: Uh huh oh yea
Ari: Shh...hear that one?
Me: Um..uh huh

I don't

Ari: That's an Indigo Bunting it's a small seed-eating bird in the cardinal family, Cardinalidae. It often migrates by night, using the stars to navigate how amazing is that?!
Me: Uh huh it's incredible baby

We walk through the forest more as Ari spots more birds, we reach the end of the path which leads to the beach just as the suns setting.

Ari smiles, I smile back

Me: Cmon

I walk her to logs surrounding an unlit campfire and light it, I put the bag down and get the stuff out including a picnic table, blanket and picnic snacks.

Me: This is your second surprise
Ari: It's beautiful baby thank you

I sit next to her kissing her deeply

Me: I love you so much
Her: I love you so much too

I dip a strawberry in a tub of Nutella chocolate and feed it to her, she giggles as she bites it and I put my arm around her while we watch the sun set on the ocean.

We carry on eating our picnic when we notice how many stars are in the sky, I get up and offer my hand to her as I start to sing

Me: Dance with me under the diamonds,
See me like breath in the cold

She takes it and gets up with me as we slow dance under the stars

Me *singing* Sleep with me here in the silence
Come kiss me, silver and gold. You say that I won't lose you, But you can't predict the future
So, just hold on like you will never let go

I need to make sure you know that

We both smile as I sing

Me*singing*: You are the only one I'll ever love, Yeah, you, if it's not you, it's not anyone...

I wrap my arms around her as we kiss passionately under the stars.
