LANGUAGE WARNING FOR THE TUMBLR TWELVE YEAR OLDS
SUPERNATURAL
"Dean!" Cas cried out. He had swallowed purgatory, taking the souls with it and became God. But now, he was human. The souls were torturing him. Screaming inside of him for a punishment only he could feel.
"Cas, what! Are you okay man?" One of the souls ripped forward.
"You are a fucking faggot, you know that? Indecisive bisexual bitch!" Dean frowned and shook his head, starting to exit the room.
"Dean, come back! It's not me! it's-why don't you shut your mouth and take a ride Castiel? I mean-leave him alone Merideth! He-Shut up Jimmy! YOU are the one he is possessing! You shoul-I CHOSE THIS! I SWEAR I WILL-DEAN HELP ME!" Dean stood there with his jaw slack. He had never witnessed one of Cas's outbursts. He was shaking and you could clearly see a sheen of sweat over him. Dean had never seen Castiel so sick.
"Castiel, shh. It's okay. Come here." Dean sat on the old scratchy motel couch and puled Castiel's cold body close.
"Dean, they're so horrible. Help me. Kill me, please. I'll do anything. Please just kill me..." Castiel went on like that for a while, ignoring Dean's protests and the absentminded hand through his hair.
"Cas, it's gonna be okay. I'm right here."
"Yeah and how many times has that worked out for him? You left him all alone to die. And guess what? He's dead inside. And you can't save him." Dean let a tear slip as he watched the man he secretly loved fall apart. A blood curdling ripped free of Cas's throat.
"Cas...please. You'll be okay." Dean didn't believe what he was saying, but he would try to convince himself nevertheless.
"Dean...they are doing unspeakable things to my soul. You have to stop them. Please. I don't know if I CAN TAKE MUCH MORE!" He cried weakly. You could see the life being drained out of him. Was Cas didn't know is that the more he sat there, opening up to Dean, the more the souls were filtering through his tears and into Dean. It started with voices in his head. Occasional little questions or ideas. And then Cas was better! All of a sudden he was okay again. He was different. He was not the same Cas. But after what they did to him, how would you act?
"Hey Dean." Cas deadpanned. Dean writhed on the floor, internally fighting of one of the souls that had entered his body.
*One hour later*
"Cas, you gotta help him!" Sam was worried. Dean had been getting worse by the day and Cas was barely there anymore. Most of the time he would just sit and stare at the walls.
"There is nothing I can do, Sam." Sam didn't think it would come down to this.
"Cas, I'm going to go exchange my soul." Cas chuckled darkly.
"I'll do it Sam. Without Dean, I'm worthless anyway." Cas got up, ignoring Sam's protests and gathered what he would need and headed to the crossroads.
"Hello Castiel" Crowley smiled crudely.
"To the point, Crowley." He chuckled.
"What do you want, Castiel."
"I want to exchange my soul in terms for Dean to be okay. I want him back to normal. And I don't want either one of the boys to remember me. I don't want my years. I want to go now." Crowley leaned forward to seal the deal with Cas, a quick, professional kiss. But nothing happened. Crowley turned to Cas with genuine horror and sorrow.
"Castiel... You don't have a soul. It's not completely gone, but there's barely any left. When you turned human your soul was essentially eaten by the others. They will do the same to Dean. Most of your soul is stuck inside Dean. Unless you can break them free, your two souls will be housed with who ever is next in line. I'm truly sorry. I was fond of the squirrel." Castiel sobbed quietly as Crowley disappeared into thin air. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out his angel blade. He knew what he had to do.
Walking back to the motel, Cas stood over Dean with tears in his eyes. This would save both of them. With little soul he had left, Castiel drove the blade into the screaming man on the floor. Dean eventually stopped breathing and all of the souls were released into the air. Screaming and crying, being pulled to either Heaven or Hell. He easily recognized the forest green of Dean's soul as it was helping a mangled blue one. His own. Castiel smiled wearily as he drove the blade into his heart.
"I love you, Dean" Cas's soul was lifted from his body and pulled into the mangled blue one, making it grow a little brighter now that him and his hunter were on there way to heaven.
