Tell me about your heartbreak story😂

I personally don't feel I have broken anybody's heart lol

"Are you mad?" Aderonke asked, tilting her head.

Ada sighed, "You were the only person I told about Sade being in the hospital. "

"And is that a reason for you to drive to such conclusion? You are telling me that...I killed my daughter....Is there any sense is that?" Aderonke yelled.

"Then did you tell anyone about Sade?" Ada retorted.

"Of course, I did not....I mean the...only person...I told was my husband and uhm...it was no big deal. " Aderonke shrugged.

Ada's heart flipped. The pieces of the puzzle was finally coming together.

"You...told...your husband, madam?" Ada needed to clarify.

"What's....your problem? Why are you asking stupid questions? What did I just tell you? Stop behaving like an actress and get to the damn point. " Aderonke hissed.

Ada sighed again and picked up her phone, "What I am about to tell you...would shatter you completely but....I have to do it... because... it's your choice...to believe...me or not. "

Aderonke banged the table with fury written all over her face, "Why did I even come here in the first place? I don't like the way you talk, stop making my heart jump and just talk for goodness sake. "

Ada spoke slowly, "Then...you must promise me....that you will calm down. "

"I will. I give you my word." Aderonke replied hastily.

"Alright then. " Ada agreed and slanted her phone towards Aderonke. She secretly hoped that the poor woman won't explode in her office. But she was shocked at the smile that was plastered on Aderonke's face.

Why the hell was she smiling?

"I....told you. Didn't I? I told you that these stupid girls were responsible for my daughter's demise. You didn't listen. Can you see? You wasted your time in university." Aderonke smiled and clapped dramatically in Ada's face.

Ada rolled her eyes and settled her gaze on the ceiling.

"They were involved in it, they weren't responsible. There's a difference, madam." Ada responded with a frown.

"I don't care, is that all?" Aderonke held out her right hand.

"No, this is just the beginning of my confusion. I just hope you will be able to... endure what you are going to hear from me today." Ada told her.

"She has started again with the drama. Why didn't you just go and start acting with Funke Akindele, Adesua and the likes. Abeg, if you aren't ready to speak, I'll leave." Aderonke warned.

Ada bent her head slightly. She knew that if she ended up spilling it. It would shatter Aderonke and she would never recover from it. But she had no choice. Ada's hands trembled as she swiped the screen on her phone to display another picture and she held it out to Aderonke.

Aderonke squinted her eyes and spoke, "Are you managing your phone battery or what? Why is your screen brightness so low?"

"Sorry ma." Ada apologized and increased the brightness. When she held out the phone, Aderonke grabbed the phone from Ada and nearly dipped her head inside. Aderonke's face expression transformed to one of utter shock and disbelief.

"What...is this?" Aderonke's eyes turned red.

Ada knew she had entered hot pepper soup.

"That was... exactly what I wanted...to explain. You see ma......"

Aderonke interupted with a scream, "Tell me what this is? Is this not a photoshopped picture?"

"Haba, it's not, ma. I...told you to calm down. You need...to stay...." Ada was stopped again by the loud smashing of an object against the wall. Ada winced at the sharp noise.

Ada glared at Aderonke,"You.... just smashed my phone against the wall, madam.. That was completely unnecessary."

Aderonke rose up on her feet, her chest heaving rapidly, "Unnecessary you say?"

"Yes ma." Ada stood up, she would ensure that Aderonke repaired her phone, a iPhone X for that matter.

Aderonke suddenly screamed "THEN TELL ME WHY THE HELL IS MY HUSBAND'S PICTURE DOING ON YOUR PHONE?"

******

Ada felt as if her ears were melting into obvilion. Aderonke's voice was too loud. But she wondered how she was going to explain this situation to a fire breathing woman.

Before she could talk, Aderonke had jumped again.

"Okay I see, you are having an affair with my husband abi? Is that the case? Or are you crushing...on my husband?" Aderonke asked stupidly.

Ada chuckled lightly to Aderonke's dismay. She couldn't believe that this woman was so naive and stupid at the same time.

"God forbid." Ada muttered silently.

"Tell me. Talk to you, you incompetent and foolish detective. Explain why my husband's picture is on your phone?" Aderonke repeated with her hands clenched into fists.

Ada shut her eyes for a brief moment and decided to just speak and go with the flow.

Ada gulped before speaking, "That picture is from a CCTV footage that was taken on February 14th this year...."

"And so?" Aderonke replied impatiently.

"Your... husband was at the club your daughter was at... that day." Ada stepped backward, a little bit scared of Aderonke's reaction.

"Are you sure you are okay? My husband was at work that night. I was at the school looking for my daughter so stop lying." Aderonke yelled.

"But I'm not lying....and you know it..." Ada replied slowly.

Ada watched as Aderonke flopped down on the chair and began tearing at her hair.

"Are.. you saying that my husband...is a suspect?" Aderonke shook her head.

"Yes..he is. He never mentioned that he was at the club when I questioned both of you, ma. I think...your husband is... hiding something." Ada declared.

"No, you are... making a mistake. It's not my husband you saw. You know...there are people that look... alike in this world. So maybe you made a mistake." Aderonke said, tears clouding her eyes.

"Is your husband....a twin?" Ada folded her arms.

Aderonke's head shot up instantly, "Are you trying to...say that I'm stupid or I don't know what I am saying?"

Ada shook her head, "I never said... that. I am just shocked that you... don't want to believe that your husband...was at the club.. that night. I know it's hard....but I'm telling you this because you're the closest to your husband....I can't interrogate him or arrest him. I need... evidence from you."

Aderonke's voice broke and tears ran down her cheeks. "So what you are saying...is that I should watch my husband?"

"Exactly for now." Ada placed her hands into her pant pockets.

Ada watched as Aderonke trembled in the chair, her hands trying to grab the table. She had never seen her like that before. She thought Aderonke was iron lady but the woman who was seated opposite her was already shattered.

"I am sorry...I shouldn't have told...."

"Do you drink?" Aderonke dabbed her tears with her fingers.

"What?" Ada exclaimed.

"Are you deaf?" Aderonke hissed.

"Well...I can drink coke and fanta...but I also fancy Sprite and Bigi Fanta. Maybe I should just settle for..." Ada was rambling on and on.

"I was talking about a beer or something...but since you are local. I'll take you out myself." Aderonke responded..

"There's no need ma, I'm fine." Ada shot her a fake smile.

"I wasn't asking or begging. You have to follow me since you were the one who spoilt my mood." Aderonke replied with a straight face. Ada scratched her hair and glared at Aderonke.

Why was this woman so bossy?
