Crying in the TARDIS

ALSO

So the Doctor Who Christmas special ended about an hour ago and I'm not over it. I'm going to be writing spoilers here, so if you haven't watched it yet and still plan on watching, you can stop reading here.

First of all, I loved Peter Capaldi and his interpretation of the Doctor, so I'm really going to miss him. This episode really did him justice, and the little nods to things from previous Doctors have been killing me the last few episodes, so this is great. The comic relief was perfect, especially the comments from the 1st Doctor with the 12th visibly cringing. Bill got to have a freaking amazing clapback that I'm still reeling over.

Plus, it touched on one of my favorite stories in history, the Christmas Truce. My mom (who actually chose to watch Doctor Who with me for once, surprisingly) actually started crying there and I almost did too. And, with the nods to the Brigadier and Clara reappearing, ugh I'm so not over it.

Peter Capaldi, thank you so much for being a fantastic Doctor. I'm going to look back on your seasons with fond memories for many years to come. I'll do my best to do what you told your future self to be and be kind.

But anyway, we had a regeneration! Let me just say, I went in with high expectations for the 13th Doctor, because I thought the casting of a woman was fantastic. But basically, Jodie Whittaker has had one line as the 13th Doctor and I'm already in love with her.

Nobody shall replace David Tennant for me, but I'm VERY excited for season 11.
