I told him everything. I told him everything from the beginning starting with the plans to go to the library to the encounter and the fight.

I described him to the best of my ability hoping this would help because I thought surely he can tell me more.

Next was the part where I had ran into a dead end therefore deciding to confront and if need be to fight.

Also, the conversation.

Lastly, the summoning of my power unconsciously and with a flash afterwards the creature being gone, vanished into thin air which led me to believe that maybe I had teleported the creature or whatever it was away.

He was quiet the whole time, just listening to my tale which even to my own ears sounded far fetched.

After I was done he sighed long and hard.

" Lamthiam is a bullezia Gullem. I thought they were extinct. All of our kind thought so because none has been seen in thousands of years." Again with the hand running through his hair.

" why though? I don't understand and I'm trying to." I said while biting my lip.

He pulled my lip free with his thumb saying, " thousands of years ago, there was a huge war which changed the course of everything between all magical creatures. I don't have to tell who was on which side."

I nodded in answer.

I could easily guess.

"Right." He nodded, " no one knows what started the war. The only ones who do know which were the ones who started the war in the first place are gone. There have been searches which were unsuccessful. Anyways." He sighed, " by the time the war ended, lots of magical beings became extinct. There were huge losses everywhere. Those extinct includes the Bullezia Gullem."

While I was thinking I asked, " do we know who started the war?"

"Yes, but I won't say just yet. You have been through enough for today. Also, it's not yet time for you to know,but soon enough you will. You need to be very careful from now on. I have a strong premonition that there  will be more meetings in the next few weeks."

I didn't like the look that came across his face as he said all of this. It was a defeated, dejected look which really worried me.
All of a sudden, getting goosebumps, I wrapped my arms around myself thinking it would protect me from these things.

I'm not going to lie, I was scared.

I was so scared.

Derek came to wrap his arms around me, giving me comfort while we sat back down just talking, trying not to think about what has happened and what could happen.

" I'll take you home." I heard him say.

I silently nodded in agreement. Honestly, I wish that I had drove. If I would have known...

It was silent the whole ride. The music was playing in the background. I turned it up a little to hear the words of the song Breathless:

I sung along under my breath while glancing at Derek. His hands tightened around the steering when hearing the lyrics, but didn't turn it off or change it.

Upon pulling up in the drive way, before getting out, I turned towards him making sure he would be okay, but before I could get a word out he kissed me.

This kiss was different than the one we shared in the meadow. It was more urgent, as If this would be the last time he would be able to, well, kiss me.

He pulled away andThen gave me another which was softer, sweeter and shorter.

Blushing a little, softly saying bye, I got out of the car, going inside the house.

"Hey hun. Where have you been?" 

I laughed a little, " mom, I texted you, letting you know that I was meeting Derek at the meadow."

"Oh." Was all she said while pulling out her phone and sure enough there was a message from me which she just now noticed.

" Anywho." She said a little embarrassed. " how is he? I know your father always spoke highly of him once he was found."

Nodding in agreement I said " yeah."

I just wanted to go to my room and lay down. Today has been a good day true, but at the same time it was disastrous.
I felt completely drained, like there was no energy whatsoever left in me.

I guess it was from using my power. I thought as I climbed the stairs to my room. Before closing the door I heard her yell from below, " I'll call you when dinner is ready okay."

I yelled back, " okay."

I did what I wanted which was lieing down.

An hour later, I heard mom calling, letting me know dinner was ready.

I came down the stairs telling her," I don't feel like eating."

Giving me a worried look she asked, " is something wrong?"

"No no." I shook my head. " just tired is all."

She nodded as I went back to bed.

A few moments later though, she came in with a tray which had the dinner on it.

I was forced to eat.

She literally sat there and watched me eat until every single bite was gone. It was then and only then that she was satisfied.

She took the tray away, planted a kiss on my forehead saying, " get some rest sweetie. I love you."

" I love you to." I replied back yawning.

Before walking out the door, she turned out the lights and then when she did walked out the door, closed it behind her.

Little did I know that that would be the last time I would hear her say

" I love you."
