Who do you call when your soul go breaking
group of numb-bars or the old shoemaker
what if your troubles are your own making
boy better know, without a soothsayer

good things happen to the good and the bad
bad things also happen to good people
the chase, the gain, then the wake get you scarred
take me back and i'll choose to know little

nobody taught me good friends become foes
every man is a star, you don't learn that
nobody taught me good girls become hoes
growing up could be fast, you don't learn that

who do you call when your loud voice is lost
who do you call when the sad loss is just
