Steven's POV
It was a quiet morning, the sun was shining through the window. I was still sleeping on the couch. Yesterday I had went to visit Peridot and Lapis. I hadn't seen them in years, I had missed them both so much. I was totally looking forward to seeing them. But mostly Lapis, I had a huge crush on her.
I've had a crush on her ever since I met her. But I just never told her. I'm finally twenty-one and I still haven't told her. I've been keeping it a secret for years. Ever time I'd see her, I felt a warm sensation in my body.
Her laugh was soft like bells and her hair was blue like the ocean. I loved her so much. But I couldn't tell her, what if she didn't feel the same way back for me? I didn't want to ruin our friendship. So I didn't tell her. The only person who told me they liked me was Connie. We were on a mission one day and she told me that she loved me. I didn't want to make her upset so I told her I loved her back.
"STEVENNNN!" I hear someone yell my name. I open my eyes and sit up in bed. I began to rub my eyes and stretch. "Good Morning Steven" Pearl say to me in a cheery motherly voice. "Morning Pearl" I said back to her, and smiled. She got up and sat on the edge of my bed. "Well, Garnet, Amethyst and I are going on a mission to find something. Would you like to come along?" She asked me, I smiled and nodded my head. "I'd love to come Pearl." I said in a tired voice and smiled tiredly at her.
"Well then time to get out of bed!" Pearl said in a cheery tone. I chuckled lightly and got out of bed. "We'll be waiting on the warp Steven." Pearl said and walked over to the warp pad and stood there. Pearl has always been a mother like figure to me. And I love her for that and so has Garnet.
"Morning Steven!" Amethyst Said to me. I smiled and replied "Morning Amethyst." Amethyst is like a older sister to me we both have each other's backs, and I care about her so much. "Well hurry up Steven. We don't got all day!" Amethyst shouted at me. I see Garnet smack her head in the back of the head.

"What?" Amethyst said in a loud voice. I laughed and went upstairs to go get changed. I feel the floor boards creak beneath my feet. I pick out some cloths, I put on my clothes and grab Rose's sword and walk over to the warp and got on and we teleported away.

*Somewhere far from Home*

I heard us land back on the warp and I heard it make a ding. We were there, I look around the place was a forest. "Okay guys, lets go" said Pearl. I see the gems get off the warp and head to a meadow. "Hey guys, I'm going to go look in true other direction." I said to them as I look up at the pine trees.
There were so many pine trees, I could see some deer eating in the fields. I smile and began to walk in the opposite direction of the gems.
I could hear the sound of leaves and sticks crunching beneath my feet. I soon got to an area were the grass had grown taller and it was up to my knees. I had to be careful if there were snakes or anything bad.
I smiled and then I felt myself trip on something hard. Ack! I said and fell to the ground. I hit my chin on the ground, that hurt bad. I get up and rub my chin gently, I look to see what I tripped on.
I see a pink like rock buried in the ground. I had a puzzled look on my face, I crawl over to it and began to rub the dirt off of it. I sit down on the ground and began to dig it out of the ground. I see a smooth pink gem in the shape of a diamond. I gasp and pick it up. It was small but still heavy.

This is a diamond.

Could it be?

"No, it can't be. She was shattered by Rose." I said to myself.

"But it could be." I said, hold the Gem in my hands and hide it in my pockets. I wonder what the gems would think if I show it to them.

They'll probably bubble it and forget it. I wonder if I could make allies with this gem. Maybe she could even be my friend. I put it in my jacket and head back to the others.
