The World Through Her Eyes

Edit: OH MY GOD YOU'RE KILLING ME

~
Ten years before all of the horrible things had happened to you, you were a sixteen year old girl—an innocent young girl who was dragged against your will into a world of torture and experiments. You hadn't seen daylight in years, nor have you ever seen another person. Except the other children who were dragged into the same situation you were in. You were malnourished. Severely malnourished. You had little to no muscle and the only thing keeping you alive were the daily overdoses of IV into your veins. Your arms were chained down to the floor, but there was no point. You could barely move and if you tried to, without a doubt, you'd break a bone. Your cell was dark and humid. The floor was littered with dead rats and carcasses. Your 'bed' had mystery stains on it from the last victim that was before you. You were in line for the testing of the 'Hell Eye' as they called it. You were ripped away from your family for this. It's been so long you almost forgot about the word 'family'.

"No-no!! Let me go!! Stop!!" The cries of the next unfortunate child echoed throughout the basement you were placed in. You heard the sound of slapping feet before two bone-thin hands gripped the metal bars. "Please help—please help me!!!" They had cried before they were torn away and taken upstairs to the laboratory. Your face remained blank. Your dull eyes never left the floor even when the screaming never stopped. This was how it was for you. Soon enough, it'll be your turn to endure what they are. Two members had walked up to your cell to look at you, their faces contorting into ones of disgust.

"This one looks like a walking skeleton, yet She believes she'll be able to handle it?" The one asked. The cross he was wearing was hanging upside down, gleaming in the torch light.

"If that's what She believes. This one doesn't react to anything anymore, let alone torture." They had unlocked your cell and walked up to you, freeing you from the shackles and hauling you up. You had trouble standing on your two legs and fell back down to the floor pathetically. The one looked to the other and sighed before picking you up and throwing you over his shoulder. You locked eyes with the floor and saw it change from bloody cobble to clean stone. It was like night and day. The steps that led to the laboratory were solid, not making any creaks or cracks. Once you had arrived upstairs, the member not holding you opened the door. When you had entered, you moved your head to the right side of the room. Your eyes widened and your body both froze and shook with fear. Up against the opposite wall was a pile of dead children. Naked, bloodied, and some mutilated. You saw the child from before lying right at the bottom of the pile, her dead, lifeless eyes staring directly at you. You felt yourself being placed on a metal table. Your clothes were stripped away, leaving you bare in front of dozens of members. The main woman, Rhea Nhor, walked up to the table and looked down at you, her snake-like yellow eyes looking at you expectedly.

"Begin the process," she ordered. Three members gathered around you, holding various things in their hands. The one tied both your arms and legs to the table, but there was no use since you could barely move them anyway. A speculum was placed in your eyes to hold your lids open. The one was holding a jar full of liquid and an eye in it.

"How should we do it?" One asked, turning their head to face her.

"Enucleation. But do it fast," she replied. The sharp, thin blade of a scalpel was mere centimeters from your eye and before you knew it, he had raised his arm and struck it back down, driving the sharp scalpel deep into your eye. You saw white before it turned black. The severe burning sensation never stopped. You could barely feel your eye being pulled out of its socket. When it was loose enough, he ripped his arm back, completely tearing the eyeball from both its socket and optical nerve. You felt blood drip down your cheeks and pool around in it. Your eye widened when you saw the other one remove the eye from the jar and hold it above your head. You felt him squeeze it into your socket, pushing out any excess blood or fluid. You were still blind in that eye, so you couldn't tell if your lids were closed or not.

"Wrap it. There's a chance of infection and we can't lose that eye," Rhea ordered, turning around and walking out of the room. Her heels clicked against the stone, forever burning itself into your mind. Thick cloth was wrapped around your eye and your head sloppily, but enough that it wouldn't fall off. You were released from the table and hauled off back into your cell.

~
Two days later, you've been the next host for the Hell Eye no one's checked up on you. And you were going through more hell than usual. Your eye has been burning for almost a whole day, never ceasing or letting up its pain. You've been writhing and squirming around trying to relieve it some way, but failing. Slowly, however, your muscles were rebuilding themselves. Your stick thin body was replenishing, albeit extremely slowly. You hadn't actually been able to open your eye since it was implanted. So you don't know if you have vision or not. Right now, you were trying not to succumb to the burning sensation that was threatening to take over your body. You didn't want to end up in that pile of rotting bodies. Of course, you were horrified and felt terrible, but you didn't wish to be a part of that. The same three members that were present during your 'operation' stood outside your cell and watched you. They made no effort to help. When you rolled over to your left side, the burning began to subside. Steam was hissing on your body, healing the wounds, but leaving the scars. You felt stronger, no—powerful. You slowly opened your eye. It was dark, deep colors swirling your vision before they slowly faded away. You looked up and saw everything was tinted red. A light yelp escaped your lips the same time one of the members had burst apart, the pristine, white robe now dyed a crimson red.

The two others gasped in horror while you scurried away to the back wall, covering your one eye with your hand. Your frame trembled in both fear and curiosity. You finally found the strength to slowly get up, using the wall for support. You limped towards the metal bars and wrapped your fingers around them. You proceeded to snap the bar in half. You looked down at it before back up at the members. A sudden feeling of anger flew through you. You had barely remembered doing it, but you recall smashing through the cell door, and murdering the two of them by stabbing their throats with the metal pole. You looked down the long hallway of the basement and slowly took a step forward, dragging the bar behind you. You looked into a cell and saw a child lying in fetal position in the corner. They didn't seem to have any injuries, so they must've been new. You heard footsteps coming down the stairs before two shadows loomed over your figure.

"She will be very pleased about this," he said, reaching out his arm to grab you. With lightning speed, you grabbed his hand and snapped his elbow with your knee before twisting his arm over your shoulder and throwing him deeper into the hallway. The other one turned and began to run, but you were quicker. You kicked off the wall and wrapped your legs around his neck, using your hands to snap his head around. You jumped off of him before he had the chance to fall. Your unforgiving eyes darted around, trying to sense where the other members were. You walked up the stairs and entered the main corridor. Each door had a number plate ranging from 1-100, which meant that was how many members there were. You slowly opened the first door and dyed the furniture red. Once your first 100 victims were dead, you headed back to the basement with the intent to let the children free, but when you got down there, the smell of iron hit your nose like a brick. You stepped a bare foot into a pool of blood. It was fresh. You could tell because it was still warm. The slapping sound of your feet echoed through the ominous basement. You looked into a cell and saw the one child with his stomach contents ripped out. It was the same for the other children in the other cells.

A sudden thump from one of the further cells made you freeze. A large face appeared from the shadows, staring at you with a large, Cheshire cat smile. You took a step back and splashed into a puddle of blood, provoking it, and causing it to leap at you. You turned around and ran out of the basement, occasionally slipping on the blood and smearing it over the floor. You ran up the steps where the titan got stuck in the doorway, but it soon broke through and ran after you. You moved from left to right when the titan snapped its jaws at you. You stepped on a bone and tweaked your ankle, sending a sharp pain up your leg. You fell to the ground, your ankle subtly paining. The titan loomed over you and held out its hand, wrapping its long fingers around your waist. A small twinge of fear travelled through your body as you stared at it. Blood pooled around your eye like tears and dripped down your face.

The titan didn't move, nor did it attempt to eat you. It just stayed still and looked at you. The longer it looked at you, the more the fear went away. You wrapped your hand around the finger of the titan and squeezed it, making it burst apart like an overfilled balloon. You fell to the floor and quickly scrambled up to your feet, turning around and running out of the hallway. You entered a large room and closed the door, locking it, and blocking it with a large wood block. You breathed out a sigh of relief and leaned against the doorframe. Now that you didn't have to worry about a titan trying to eat you, you could finally take a look around the room you ran into. There were dozens of tables with plenty of weapons lying on them. It seems they were experimenting with creating new weapons as well. You slowly walked up to one table and ran your finger along the cool metal of the handgun, picking it up to examine it. You cocked the gun and pressed the trigger, sending a bullet flying into the ceiling.

"Jesus..." You breathed, placing the gun back down and moving on to another gun. You picked up the large sniper rifle and looked through the scope, aiming it at the opposite side of the room and sending a bullet straight through a glass beacon. You lowered it from your face a little before grabbing two of the same handguns. You were about to leave the room when a gleam caught your eye. It looked to be leather gloves with a small compartment for something. You placed the guns down and walked over to them. You slipped on the gloves and checked the underside of the palm, noticing a small button right near the thenar. You pressed it with your middle finger and a hook had shot out, startling you. You stared at it for a few moments before steeling your goals.

~
You tread through the underground, your arms wrapped around your body. You had found a small cove that you could place your weapons in. No one seemed to go down that way so they'd be safe until you can retrieve them again. You had managed to find some other clothes. Albeit they were worn down and torn, but they were better than what you were wearing. You were about to pass under an underpass, but three men were already there, blocking your route.

"Shit! That brat... she really bit me," the middle man said, looking down at his right hand. You could faintly see an outline of teeth impressions. "When she's caught, I'll be the first to have fun with her!" Your face darkened.

"There's no fun or anything on a brat like that," the one commented. The middle man laughed before finally spotting you. It seemed he finally realized you were there.

"Huh? What are you doing, kid? You want to get hurt too, huh?" He asked. Your eyes glanced up at the two males standing right outside of a house. You didn't answer, instead, you just began to walk towards the two older men.

"What? You're not going to answer?" He asked. As you walked past him he roughly grabbed your shoulder to spin you around to face him. Instinct took over and you lifted up your leg to wrap around the back of his neck. You leaned back onto your hand and swiped his leg out from under him with your other leg, twisting your body around. He spun in the air before crashing to the ground. You landed on all fours before running off under the underpass and disappearing before anyone could do anything. Right now, you had to focus on finding food and surviving. You saw some food crates up ahead and slinked over to them. You looked inside and saw freshly made bread and different food.

"Hey! You!" You heard someone yell. You turned your head and saw one of the merchant's running towards you with what looked to be a thick wooden stick. You grabbed the crate and ran towards the shadows of the building, hearing him swing the bat back and forth.

"Get back here you thief!" He yelled as you quickly maneuvered your way through the shadows. Once you were sure you were safe you placed the crate down and leaned against the wall. You didn't know how you'd get back to your original hideout, so you opt to make a second one in case.

~
Two years after your escape from the cult, you had been known in the underground as Red Ember. Red because of how much blood you've spilt, and Ember because there's no remaining evidence when you leave. Much like a fire when it's put out. All that's left is embers to remind everyone there was once a fire. One small group in the underground had asked you to join them, since they had heard much about you and your abilities in fighting. Their home base was a regular home--a little bigger at best. You had been invited to meet them there. You hadn't met any of them yet, and heard from a secondary source that the leader of the group was... not the nicest. You had stepped up to the door and knocked, adjusting your mask. The door opened up with a gruff looking man on the other side, a cigarette hanging from his lips. He looked you up and down before letting out a small laugh.

"So... you're Red Ember, huh?" He asked, moving to the side and letting you in. As soon as you walked in you smelt the smoke coming off of the different cigars they were smoking. Not one female was in the house.

"This looks more like a drug deal than anything else," your scratchy voice said. You didn't really see anything thanks to all the smoke. The man laughed from next to you.

"You're the first and only bitch to actually not fear us. You'll benefit greatly from joining us," he said, completely nonchalant. You eyed the five men, analyzing them. One in particular was eyeing you back, looking you up and down. The way he bit his lip and subtly bucked his hips proved he was thinking unholy thoughts.

"This is Red Ember. She's our little... friend from now on," the man introduced, looking down at you with a smile, but it wasn't a welcoming one. It was wicked. His eyes gleamed with lust. They were clouded over with it. Alarms blared in your head.

"What am I doing here?" You asked, glaring up at him with a silent promise that you'd break him if he tried anything. He didn't get it.

"Do not speak unless spoken to," he ordered, wrapping one of his burly arms around your waist the same time the five others stood up.

"What. Am I doing here?" You repeated, your gaze hardening.

"Did I not tell you to not speak?" He asked again, pressing your body against him. You felt a hand hover over your butt, but you never faltered nor did you react. You had a feeling as to why you were there, but the fact he didn't answer your question irritated you more.

"I'll shut up when you answer my question," you retorted, grabbing the wrist of a hand that was moving too far south.

"You little fuck, I just said don't speak!" He exclaimed, slamming you into the nearest wall. You never reacted, but instead held the barrel of the gun right underneath his chin.

"I'll show you who's not going to be able talk in a moment," you hissed. He let go of you in shock and stumbled back as well as everyone else.

"Huh—?! Wa-wait a minute...! What are you doing?! Restrain her!!!" He ordered as you walked towards him.

"Ten. Nine. Eight." You removed the magazine and replaced the clips.

"Wh-what are you all doing?! I told you restrain her!" He yelled in panic, tripping over the table and knocking all of the contents onto the floor.

"Seven. Six. Five." You reloaded the gun.

"Wa-wait!!! Please!! I'm sorry!!!" He cried, pressing against the couch.

"Four. Three. Two." You cocked it.

"I'll never do it again—! Please!! Have mercy!!" He yelled, covering his face with his hands.

"One." You aimed.

"Stop!!!!"
Red splattered against the back of the couch, his arms going limp. The cigarette fell from between his lips and onto the dirty carpet. You turned around and stared at the five men who were huddled in a corner, shivering. A small spark popped where the cigarette laid. You wordlessly exited the house and closed the door, taking three steps away from it before it exploded in a fiery blaze.

~
You headed over to the 11th Stairwell and ignored the guards, taking a step up.

"Hey! No going up there without paying!" A voice exclaimed, viscously grabbing your wrist and pulled you back down the step. You grabbed the side of his neck and slammed his head into the stone wall, cracking open his head. The one brought out his shotgun and aimed at you, but you used the second one as a shield when he fired. The bullet went straight through his chest. You threw him to the ground and ran at the other, tilting your head to avoid the muzzle and barrel, connecting your fist to his face and sending him flying. You quickly ascended up the stairs to the surface. Your eyes snapped shut from the sun exposure and pulled your hood down even further. Every time you tried opening them you would close them again. You slit your eyes open to get them used to the small amount of sunlight. It took you almost five minutes to adjust to the light. When you did, you looked around. There were people walking all around you. You turned your attention to the sky above and stared at it for a minute. The sky was crystal blue with a few puffy clouds floating around it.

'Pretty...' You thought.

"Hey! You can't be up here without citizenship!" You looked down and saw a squad of Military Police walking towards you. You raised your arm and shot out your hook. The hook connected to the house behind them, but the wire lacerated into his neck, almost severing his head. The horrid screams of bystanders echoed through the street as they ran away for safety.

"What the hell!?" The one exclaimed, aiming his gun at you. You whipped your other wire around his forearms and pulled back, ripping his arms away from his body. You ran up to them and pulled out a knife, jumping up to one of them and driving the knife into the side of their necks. The others shot at you with their shotguns, but you dodged each bullet and slit their throats. The sound of machinery and wire drew your attention. You looked up at saw one getting away on 3DMG. You threw your wire and made it wrap around the gear's hooks. You pulled back in the opposite direction which jammed his gear and caused him to fall to the ground. He yelped in both pain and fear as he scrambled up to run away, but a knife already implanted itself through his head. Your eyes moved to look behind you when you sensed someone watching you from the shadows. He knew you knew he was there. There was no point in hiding anymore. He walked out into the daylight and looked at you with an unreadable expression.

"How would you like a job opportunity?" He asked, getting straight to the point. You turned your body to face him.

"Are you not going to arrest me?" You asked, suspicious of his motives.

"Of course not. Talent like yours shouldn't be wasted. Come with me. I have a perfect plan for you," he said, turning around and walking off. Your eyes narrowed before you slowly followed behind him, keeping a distance between you two. It was silent between both of you, not one of you attempting to talk to each other or start up a conversation.

'Where is he taking me?' You thought, eyeing him warily.

~
Year 845, the fall of Wall Maria. You watched from atop of Shiganshina District wall. The colossal titan appeared, kicking a hole inside the wall. You had seen it with your own eyes. The colossal titan had disappeared, hissing out steam, before vanishing in thin air. The panicking screams echoed through the air as everyone scrambled to try and get away from the man eating monsters.

"Are you not going to help them?" Wesley asked from behind you. You sat down on the wall and watched with total relaxation. It terrified Wesley to be honest. Witnessing people getting eaten alive was not something to just simply brush off. So the fact that you could watch someone get mutilated and not even bat an eyelid made him terrified of what you would be able to do.

"No." Your bluntness made him sigh.

"You've killed well over a few hundred people, Red. It wouldn't hurt to kill a few titans," Wesley advised, flinching when he heard a woman scream before the bone crushing.

"I do not care or have a use for humans. I could be the last person on earth for all I care. Let's go. I'm getting tired of this," you ordered, standing up from the edge of the wall and turning away. "When the wall completely falls, let's find a new base nearer Wall Rose. It'll be easier than hiking 100 km from wall to wall." You added. (100 km = 62 miles.)

You took off towards your old home, easily evading oncoming titans your way. You slid to a stop in front of your door and calmly opened it, walking into the main living room. You stopped, however, to look at the blood stain on the wood flooring that was still there from when your brother was killed. Memories flashed by in your head, but you shook them away and resumed what you were doing. You grabbed two large bags from the closet and placed weapons in one and clothes in the other. Whatever Wesley needed he could come get himself. You hauled the two bags over your shoulder and exited the house, closing the door behind you for probably the last time. You walked to Wall Maria, pressing closely against the houses. You spotted Wesley up on a roof and threw him a bag. He caught it before taking off. You followed suit.

If the wall was now crawling with titans you'd have to be a little bit more careful. Especially with that giant ass one. You had to admit, this wasn't what you were expecting. You were also a little pissed because of how many lives were wasted. How many lives could've been ended by your hands, but instead they were ended by the titans. Ridiculous. The wall's population was cut down by 20% and everyone had evacuated behind Wall Rose. However, 250,000 refugees were sent out back to Wall Maria to try and reclaim it. Only 100 were able to make it back. You knew because you watched. You followed their every move, but yet made no attempt to help them. In fact, when you saw someone lying on the ground, alive, but too injured to live, you'd finish them off yourself. Watching human's fear death was extremely amusing to you. How could someone fear what was inevitable? Is it because they don't know how they'll die? Or is it because they don't know what's on the other side? You don't fear anything. You've long since gotten over your fear of death. There is one thing—no, person you're afraid of. She's probably the only thing that could kill you. Forget man eating titans and soldiers.

"How ridiculous..." You said quietly, tugging the hood over your eyes.

~
The year 850. You had found a nice house with a large basement in the old city right outside Wall Rose. You had heard from Wesley, since he's in the Military Police, that the Survey Corps would go on an expedition through Trost District out into titan territory. Curious, you watched them from the shadows of the clusters of trees. The hooves of the horses thundered down the path as they rode on by. One woman in particular rode past the commander and passed you faster than anyone else. From what you could tell, she was the titan maniac. Once the rest of the Corps passed you, you tailed behind them, although slower, but you still managed to keep up with them. When you got close enough you jumped onto a supply cart. No one saw and the one driving it didn't feel anything, you were that light.

You peeked out over the top of the cart and looked around. You recognized two people out of all of them. Commander Erwin Smith and Captain Levi, 'Humanities Strongest Solider'. Your eyes narrowed at him. If you two got in a scrabble you would probably win, but you don't know how strong he is. The sound of a pop went off and you looked over to see a red flare.

"Titans!" A soldier yelled. You looked over to the direction and saw two titans running towards you. Five soldiers flew up to the two of them, their blades drawn. However, before they could kill them, two of them were caught in the mouths of the titans and bitten down on. The blades moved swiftly across the nape of the necks from the other soldiers.

'So that's how you kill them.' You noted, watching them fall to the ground. When the cart was passing by another tree, you jumped off of it and grabbed onto a branch. You watched them ride off further. You looked past them to the giant forest that lay ahead of them. You let go of the branch and ran, not following this time, but going towards the forest instead. Your top running speed is 82 kilometers per hour (50 mph) and you can maintain a speed of 33 kph (20 mph). A majority of people would say that's inhuman. It's almost impossible to go that speed if you're not on a horse. However, your Hell Eye possesses a lot of inhuman abilities and your body adjusted to it.

You passed by a few more titans, but they ignored you. However, the running footsteps behind you made you turn your head. An abnormal titan was crawling its way to you faster than you were running.

'All titans ignore me except abnormals. Of course.' You thought, skidding to a stop and transferring your weight. You ran back at it full speed, pulling out your two guns. You shot two bullets into its eyes, causing it to strafe to the right. It crashed face first into the tree. You sheathed your guns and resumed running, trying your best to avoid abnormals. As you were running, you had saw the Survey Corps were stationed at a small abandoned village. There were scouts up on the roofs and on the ground with telescopes. There's no doubt a black glob wouldn't be spotted in a green background. You noticed one man in particular. Mike Zacharias, the blood hound. You had heard from secondary sources that his nose is so sharp he can smell titans miles away. So when you saw his head turn in your general direction, your instincts kicked in.

'Kill him.'

You ran right through the small village, ignoring the sudden cries of soldiers. You spider jumped from house to house, flying right over Mike's head. You aimed your gun straight between his eyes. The look of both shock and alarm crossed his face as the muzzle of a gun was mere inches from his face. Suddenly, a flock of cawing crows and other birds emerged from the forest. One of the taller trees also collapsed. As if it was bulldozed over.

'Titans. They're here.' You thought, knowing if they were coming, some of them would be eaten anyways. You pulled back the gun and landed on the edge of the roof, looking over towards the forest. Various choruses of 'who are you' rang out as everyone drew their blades. You, however, ignored them expertly and just jumped from one roof to the other.

"Hey! Who are you? Why are you outside the walls?" The titan maniac had ascended upon the rooftop, looking at you with both curiosity and kindness.

"There are titans in the forest," is all you said, your voice scratchy and deep, before jumping off the roof and taking off at top speed.

"Hey! Wait up!" Hanji called after you and quickly jumped off the roof and to her horse.

"Squad leader! It's too dangerous alone!" Moblit warned, trying to stop Hanji from getting killed.

"Erwin! I'm gonna go ahead!" Hanji said while riding out of the camp.

"Wait! Hanji!" Erwin called after her, but she was either too far to hear, or too enthralled about you to listen.

"Levi!" Erwin didn't have to finish his order. Levi was already on his horse. You both heard and felt the thumps of the horse hooves behind you. You were already more than halfway to the forest which would give you both cover and a getaway. If there was a titan in the forest, hopefully her attention will turn to it and get off of you.

"How are you running so fast?" She had ridden up to your side and leaned over to ask you. You didn't acknowledge her and climbed up the first tree you saw and resorted to jumping from the thick branches of the trees. Hanji gasped in both awe and shock. In a small little clearing there was a seven meter titan just aimlessly walking around. You had jumped past it without it noticing you, but it noticed Hanji. It turned around and began to chase her. You had hidden in a small alcove of the trunk of a tree and watched both Hanji and the titan run past you.

'Thank fucking god. She was annoying.' You thought. When they disappeared from sight, you turned around and jumped in another direction. You jumped for about three minutes before you stopped at a large clearing. There was one big, thick tree in the middle of the clearing with patches of flowers everywhere. There was a hollow in the middle of the tree where a skeleton lay, wearing the green cloak of the Survey Corps. You never left from your position on the branch, not taking a chance. You looked to the left and saw the same titan run into the clearing with Hanji following after it. She stopped her horse and stared at the titan for a moment. It took a step forward and slammed its head into the trunk of the tree repeatedly. As Hanji walked closer to it, she was softly talking to it, asking it questions.

'Idiot...' You thought, watching her from above. The titan turned around and smashed its hand into the ground, barely missing Hanji. She hooked her gear into the tree above and flew up onto a branch. The titan growled in frustration and Hanji landed back down onto the ground. She once again slowly made her way up to the titan. You were sure the titan was going to grab her, but a hook was shot into the titan's back. You looked up and saw a solider in the air, blades drawn, prepared to kill it.

"Olou, wait!" Hanji exclaimed in alarm. Olou was distracted for a moment and the titan took that time to grab him. He screamed and kicked his legs frantically as the titan held him close to its mouth. The arm holding him suddenly was sliced clean off and blood sprayed into the air. You looked over and saw Levi Ackerman himself.

'I didn't even see him.' You thought, watching as he skillfully slashed the nape. The titan fell to its back and began to steam. Levi looked down at his hand and began to wipe off the blood with fabric.

'What's the point? It's evaporating... the clean freak.' You thought. The rest of, who you assumed was, his squad mates appeared. The rest of the Corps seemed to be farther away from them. They wouldn't be there for at least ten minutes max if they hadn't followed after Levi's squad. You slowly reached below you to grab the gun looped around your thigh belt. You pulled it out and placed the safety off. You held it above your head and shot it off. The bang echoed through the forest and almost automatically, it caused everyone to snap their heads up and look around warily.

"What the hell was that?" Levi asked, looking around the circumference of the forest.

"Could it be that person who I was originally chasing?" Hanji wondered out loud, not really worried about being responded to. Levi did anyway.

"Then that suicidal idiot is dangerous if they're out here."
You slinked back into the shadows and soundlessly took off back to your home base nearer Wall Rose. That fateful day you decided to pursue the Survey Corps was the beginning of an interesting journey with them. You knew getting involved with them would lead to a different story. From the time you were young to right before the 49th expedition, you had no interest or plan to join the Survey Corps or siding with humanity. However, because you agreed to, that opened up doors for you. So now when you wake up next to Levi's sleeping, peaceful face, you can finally say for once, that working with humans turned out greater than you originally thought.

The world through your eyes was cruel. Unforgiving. Unfair. It was very much you against the world, literally. However, with one person by your side and a military branch behind you, then maybe, just maybe, you could conquer it.

This took me four days because season three is in six months and I have no self control.

Edit: Get in fuckin line, virgin
