"Oi, Y/n. Wake up," Levi said, shaking you by the shoulder gently since he knew you were a light sleeper. You groaned lightly and slowly sat up, rubbing the disgusting crust out of your eyes. You looked out the window and saw it was barely lit out, which meant it was before five in the morning. You sighed and looked over to Levi with an unamused expression.

"Why the hell are we up so early, shithead?!" You whisper yelled to him, not wanting to wake anyone else up.

"Shit glasses insisted on throwing a party for someone named 'Ruby'," he replied, rolling his eyes at the end.

"What? Why the shit would we throw a party for someone we don't know?" You asked angrily, though your voice was still a whisper.

"Don't ask me. Apparently she and Hanji are currently in a relationship, so Hanji wanted to surprise her because it's her birthday," Levi replied, ripping the sheets from your body. You growled and reached for the sheets, but Levi just pulled them further away.

"Wait... Hanji's gay?"

"Super gay."
You groaned and placed your head in your hands. Levi's bi, Hanji's gay, what the fuck's next? Jean will sexually identify as a horse?!

"... actually that wouldn't be so surprising..."

"What?"

"What?"
You and Levi stared at each other for a moment before you sighed and got up from the bed and got dressed.

"When's Ruby coming?" You asked, placing on your Corps jacket.

"Sometime around three. And be prepared, apparently Ruby has a little attitude."
You snorted and walked out of his bedroom.

"Please."

"Ooohh! I can't wait! I haven't seen my Ruby in such a long time!" Hanji squealed in excitement as everyone was running around prepping things for Ruby's arrival.

"I never expected you to be gay. In fact, I never expected you'd be in a relationship at all... or that anyone could handle you," you commented from her side, arms crossed. Hanji laughed and swung her arm around your shoulders.

"Ruby is quite the opposite from me, so she cancels out my hyper personality," Hanji replied, the smile never leaving her face even though her voice had calmed down.

"Where is Ruby coming from? I've never heard about her until now," Erwin asked, walking into the mess hall after giving more orders to cadets.

"Ah... well she and I met a little before I joined the Survey Corps. She was stationed in Wall Sina as an assassin to protect a nobleman. However, she and I haven't seen each other in about a year and a half. I don't know where she currently is, but what matters now is that I'm seeing her now," she explained, fixing her glasses and removing her arm from your shoulders.

"Touching," you said, crossing your arms. Hanji squealed.

"I know right! I can't wait to see her!! I have so much I need to tell her!" She jumped up and down like a rabbit. To be honest, you've only ever seen Hanji this excited when she's talking about titans or experimenting on Eren, so she must genuinely be excited to see Ruby. You brought out your pocket watch and checked the time.

'1:37.' You thought, closing it again and tucking it into your pants.

"I'm going to keep a lookout for her!" Hanji exclaimed, running out of the mess hall.

"I've never seen shitty glasses that excited," Levi spoke up. You hummed and uncrossed your arms.

"Hanji must really love this Ruby person."

Hanji rocked back and forth on her heels in excitement, her hands clasped in front of her body. She gasped in happiness when she heard the sound of a distant horse coming towards the stables. She squealed and ran over to the entrance, seeing a black horse riding closer and closer. She waited for a moment before taking off in a dead sprint towards the horse. Ruby skillfully jumped off the horse just in time when Hanji went crashing into her. Ruby smiled contently and hugged back just as tightly.

"Ne, where have you been, Ruby? I've missed you!" She whined lightly, leaning on her. Ruby huffed and pushed her back upright.

"I had some things to take care of on the south side of the wall," she replied. Hanji smiled widely and hugged her again, this time softer and filled more with emotion.

"I've missed you," she said again, this time with more love. Ruby chuckled and hugged her back.

"I missed you too."

"Come on! I have a surprise for you!" She exclaimed, breaking the hug and grabbing her wrist, dragging her inside. Ruby followed her girlfriend and let her did as she pleased as she dragged her through different hallways. She stopped walking in front of the mess hall doors and lightly pushed Ruby in front of her. She smiled and nodded at her encouragingly. Ruby sighed and slowly pushed the doors open, looking both ways. The lights blasted on and dozens of soldiers were sitting in the room.

"Happy birthday Ruby!!"
Ruby tilted her head and hummed.

"Happy Birthday Ruby!" Hanji exclaimed, jumping on her back. Ruby caught her and held her in a piggy back.

"You threw a party for me?" Ruby asked, her eyebrow raised. Hanji nodded happily and kissed her cheek quickly.

"Of course!"
Hanji got off her back when Erwin, Levi, and you walked up to her.

"Ruby, this is Commander Erwin, Corporal Levi, and Y/n," Hanji introduced, gesturing to each of them. Ruby nodded at the two males and kept her eyes on you. Ruby looked peculiar to you. Red and black hair, red and black eyes, a long scar that travelled from her right brow bone to her left cheekbone.

"It's nice to finally meet someone who's able to handle her," you said, staring at her intently. While you didn't feel any bad vibe off of her, you definitely knew she was showing you the bare minimum of who she truly was. Maybe Hanji knows who she really is.

"Once you get used to her, calming her down is quite easy," Ruby replied, crossing her arms.

You and Ruby hit it off quite well. Ruby had told you of some of her past, how she had abusive parents, how she escaped them, how they found her, and how she killed them. It's a story like yours, but still different even in the slightest. You were sitting next to Levi and Ruby was over near the other cadets in Hanji's lap. You pursed your lips and grabbed a knife, swiftly throwing it at Ruby. Ruby caught the knife about three inches away from her face with her index and middle fingers. Everyone had stopped talking and stared in shock, slightly afraid.

"Is there something you need, Y/n?" Ruby asked, turning to look at you, slowly bringing the knife down. Your eyelids had lowered into a tired stare.

"No. Just trying to see something," you replied. Ruby hummed and relaxed for a second before throwing the knife harshly and quicker than anyone could see. The knife whizzed past your face and embedded into the wall where the blade was completely sheathed inside the stone. Gasps of shock rang out through the room and immediately whispers began spreading. Levi growled lightly and glared at Ruby with all his might, but you had just placed a hand on his shoulder to calm him down, ignoring the blood slowly trailing down your cheek.

"Not bad, Ruby. You've got a fierce throw," you complimented, a slight smirk appearing on your lips. Ruby sat up in Hanji's lap and let out an amused hum.

"Is that so? Well I've heard a lot about you too, Y/n. Maybe sometime you and I can fight each other," Ruby suggested, a glint in her eye that made you suddenly wary of her. Hanji nervously laughed and hugged Ruby's midsection tighter.

"Now, now! Let's all not get our underwear in a twist!" She said, trying to lighten the mood between you and her. You sighed and crossed your arms.

'If Ruby wants to fight then who am I as to not give it to her?'

Hanji had dragged Ruby out of the party an hour earlier and went to her office. She still had something else up her sleeve.

"I have another present for you, but you'll have to wait a few, okay?" Hanji said as she sat Ruby down on her bed. She nodded in reply and crossed her arms.

"Alright. Don't take too long though," she replied as Hanji smiled and disappeared into the bathroom. The shower turned on and Ruby heard Hanji humming quite loudly. A few minutes passed and the water had turned off. Ruby sat up from her lying position and saw Hanji walk out of the bathroom in a robe. Her hair was down and her glasses were off as well. Ruby tilted her head in question. It wasn't until Hanji slowly untied the robe and let it drop did Ruby understand. A smirk crossed her face, seeing her lover in front of her.

"Oh? Well this should be fun," she muttered as Hanji came walking towards her and sat down on her lap.

"Happy birthday, Ruby," Hanji said, her voice low and calm.

"I thought I was the one who was going to be in my birthday suit, but I don't mind this either."
Hanji smiled and slowly pressed a kissed to her lips, pulling away after a few seconds.

"I love you, Ruby."
She chuckled lightly and gently bit Hanji's neck, causing her to emit a low groan.

"I love you too."

Fun fact: Ruby is actually only turning 17, but because of her demon heritage, she stopped aging at 13.

Another fun fact: This is my first fanfic to ever have *a lot* of LGBTQ+ representation so I hope I hadn't portrayed anything wrongly!

Another nother fun fact: Ruby is actually Pan, though that doesn't stop her from hating most people.

Even though I am not pan, I felt that Ruby is the uncaring type of person. So she really wouldn't care what you were as long as you treated her nicely and shit.

Just to clarify:

Ruby Akuma = My OC, birthday is August 15th.

Ruby Red = Me, birthday is August 20th. Though sometimes Ruby A and I switch names because she doesn't care and is extremely lenient to people who she's close to.

I will be posting another arc that is separate from AoT and will go off the plotline. Hopefully that will be 25 chapters as well. Then after that arc is finished all that's left is to write season three, but unfortunately that's not coming out until next April, so, be excited!! You get... I think... over fifty more chapters for this book! Yay!
