I awoke to a boy yelling.

Then Nico is thumping out of his room, and I see him through my open door. I get up and follow him quickly, finding myself with him in Maria and Hades' room. He's shaking Maria awake.

"Mamma, mamma, Leo! Se n'è andato, ha lasciato fuori dalla finestra! Mamma!"

He's panicking like I've never see him before, and I wish u could understand what he's saying because now I'm scared. All I could make out was Leo.

Startled, Maria sat up in shock. She woke up her husband, who grumbled at first, but then saw his family's urgent faces. I ran to Nico's side.

"Nico, what's wrong, what is it?" I poked his arm.

He looks at me with worried and longing eyes, "Leo's gone."

What?

Oh, no. . .

I ran to Nico's bedroom, to find it empty of any life forms other than myself. The window was wide open, letting a cold breeze spread through the black curtains. Oh, no.

I leaned out the window, "Leo?! LEO?!"

Before I angered a neighbor, Nico pulled me away, "He's too far away by now. Come on, I have an idea where he might be."

So as Maria and Hades started the car, Nico sat in the driver's wheel and took off before I got my seatbelt on. Only two things were on my mind: Where are we going? Is Leo okay?
