She stumbles on her glass shoes.
She sees her reflection and stifles a whimper.
They look upon her distress with pity
and delight in her pain.

She falls apart in her glass globe.
Her body shatters into millions of broken pieces.
Each person taking only the bloody fragments,
something to remember her by.

Though her glass castle lies empty,
in time a new figurine will take her place.
They'll wind her up
and she will dance on that glass stage.
