A small victorious smirk took over her face when she slightly raised her chin to enable her vision to notice that she'd parked her vehicle perfectly between the other two cars in front of the house. Blinking a few times, she turned off the ignition, continuing to hum the tune that had been stuck in her head after hearing it on the radio.

She carefully got out of the black coloured Mercedes before grabbing her paperwork and her phone from the seat next to her, her hair flying and sticking in all directions they could as soon as her form met with the chilly breeze outside. Glancing towards the sky, she noticed the dark clouds taking over the blue and carried on locking the car with the thought of a pleasant night.

She lazily strolled towards the entrance of the seemingly warm bungalow with yellow lights and intricate exterior complimented by several eye-pleasing white steps as if she was about to enter heaven, for she felt impatience get the best of her. As soon as she got inside, she let out a tired sigh, taking off her heels while holding her stuff in another hand. The house seemed oddly quiet. The usually loud abode filled with the noises of television or just boisterous laughter was unusually silent, but she did not really give it too much importance and was too tired to do so.

She massaged her toe while enjoying the feeling of the cold floor against her bare foot and closed her eyes, humming in delight. After deciding to find a spot for placing the items she held, she grabbed the glass kept on the dining table, a few thoughts about how to start her next week running through her mind.

As soon as the glass touched her lips, the peaceful silence was interrupted by a loud scream and consequently, the glass fell off her hands, shattering due to its surprise touch with the floor.

Her heartbeat fastened, a loud audible gasp left her mouth along with her head snapping towards the staircase, which was the apparent origin of the frightening sound. Her big eyes were filled with fear, eyebrows slightly furrowed with concern and confusion.

And her eyes snapped open.

She gasped again, taking in a huge amount of air which she felt had been snatched from her for the past few minutes. Her hand instinctively went to her chest, eyes looking around to search for known surroundings but finding none.

Exhaling softly, she calmed down after recollecting the situation she was in, and how she'd ended up in this unfamiliar but extremely comfortable mattress.

It was yesterday that she had been accompanied by the young lawyer to an eatery, and while helping her get more aware about her surroundings, he had been generous enough to let her into his residence after observing her disoriented self.

Her hand went towards the side of her head upon remembering the fact that they had found a huge bruise there last night which had been aided temporarily, the source of the severe painful throbbing she had never gotten rid of.

Wincing a little, she rubbed the spot which was now bandaged, a little swollen and still a little sore. A sigh left her lips as she closed her eyes, feeling bittersweet about the fact that she had been equipped with all that she needed and she did not know how to return the favour to Jungkook.

She pressed her lips together, sitting up straight while pushing out strands of baby hair from her face before rubbing her eyes. Perhaps, sleep could not find its way to her yet again, she realised. Turning her head towards the window, she watched the curtains failing to cover the brightness of the shining sun that had already risen, leading her to a new day. The golden rays fell on her hand, making her sigh and recollect her senses as she admired the little sparkles on her palm.

A new day, she hoped, that would venture her into the process of knowing herself.

Hearing the three periodic knocks on the closed wooden door her weary orbs turned towards it.

"Yeah?" She let out, running a hand along her scalp before pushing the white covers down. No matter how hard she tried to fall asleep, her eyes didn't dare close for the past couple of hours. Since she had already accepted the dispossession of sleep, she decided to freshen up and get rid of unnecessary ideas that had been clogging her mind. It was dangerously harming her, the sort of thoughts and insights she'd been having, but she soon understood that she did not have a choice to shut them down.

"Would you like to come out now?" The reticent yet kind enough male asked and she sniffed, getting out of her comfort zone and walking towards the door.

"Good morning, Mr. Jeon." She greeted, bending her head a little to the side at the sight of the man that had offered her to stay at his house for the night the other day and provided her with basic necessities.

As she leaned on the door frame, she could not help but admire the contrast in his attire from the last time she saw him. The jet black three-piece suit was now replaced with a pair of jeans and a casual, peach coloured t-shirt. His neatly styled hair was now simply messed up with curly bangs on his forehead beckoning to be ruffled.

"Morning," he murmured before walking out of the lobby that lead to her room. "I was wondering if we should go for some shopping together, now that you're a lost soul." He said, hands reaching out for the kids' cereal kept on the dining table but coming back towards the carton of orange juice after noticing her eyes on his fingers.

"Shopping?" She let out, innocently raising her eyebrows.

"That would not suffice for long." He gestured to her attire while taking a sip from his drink.

She instantly looked down at her clothes before blinking rapidly. A huge grey sweatshirt hung on her frame, visibly Jungkook's, along with a pair of shorts whose owner she was unaware of. She looked back at him with parted lips and a sheepish smile. "Shopping it is, then." She whispered, enough to be heard in the silence.

"Well then, miss..." He paused, slightly turning his head and licking his lips. "We need a name for you, don't we?" He asked, more to himself and she shrugged with a little pout.

A fond smile took over her features upon seeing a golden dress on the mannequin, but it was soon replaced by uncertainty on her face. She blinked a little when the voice of the man accompanying her came to her mind. She pressed her lips upon remembering the fact that he mentioned her elegance and her liking towards light colours, making her chuckle a little at the accuracy of his words.

She shook her head softly, turning around and walking towards the other section, the one that did not seem so basic to herself while the boldness of her actions made her beam.

"How about Minnie?" He popped out from between two shirts on the rack and she recoiled backwards at his sudden appearance, noticing the Mickey mouse themed top he held in his hands. "Yes to the shirt, no to the name," She smiled scornfully, grabbing the cloth from him.

"Anne with an e?"

"Nope."

"Jessica?"

"Where did that one come from?"

"Senorita?" He tilted his head and she frowned with a displeased face, her amused smile not visible to him because of the black mask hiding most of her appearance. But she did hear him babble softly at his own choice.

"No, sir." She chuckled slightly, shaking her head whilst he facepalmed because of some apparent embarrassment.

"Miss Chocolates?" He asked again, making her scoff silently. "Seriously, Mr. Jeon?" She shifted her weight from one leg to another.

"You can't blame me." He shrugged as he eyed the chocolate ice cream in her hand, making her rustle with it.

"Are we done here?" She looked at their hands, holding a dozen packets, half of which Jungkook had politely taken from her and held them for the sake of her.

"You tell me," he reciprocated, looking around as the two of them stood on the ground floor, random people busy within themselves passing by.

The emotion she felt by being a tiny part of a bigger crowd didn't suffocate her. She found it amusing as well as comforting, as if the crowd could never bother her at all. But the smallest movement caught her eyes as she tried to observe her familiar yet unfamiliar surroundings. There was laughter while on the other hand she could hear the vague noises of someone screaming at a probable innocent newbie on their first day.

It felt so weird, how she was not known to any of this a few hours ago but now that she was in the scene she felt as if she had known all of this by heart. The noise, the whispering music in the background, the boisterous mood swings of people and just their presence.

All of it made her wonder if she fell in the same category? Or did she like it all quiet before? Had she been just a normal person all her life and continued her routine amidst the crowd? She felt a tingle, the obvious curiosity making her feel butterflies until she looked at the man who had kindly enough offered her this new starting.

"Thank you." He looked back at her when he heard her voice and raised an eyebrow, noticeably not enjoying this abrupt adventure but not complaining either. She did not let him pay for her expenses, but the fact that he silently accompanied her throughout was more than impressive to her for a stranger. A stranger who had done more for her than she could have even asked for. "For everything." The graceful grin reached her eyes and he stiffly smiled back, nodding at her.

"Off we go, then." She said as she turned around, speedily walking towards the exit until a sudden halt in her steps alarmed the man behind her.

Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows as he leaned to look at her face and ask what had stopped her but then he saw her expression, she had frozen, her big eyes staring right ahead of her. He followed her line of sight, wondering whether she spaced out just like that all the time, but was caught off guard along with her after noticing what she did.

There it was, her gorgeous profile, displayed on a massive screen, right in front of them.

Her mind was unable to comprehend a thing. She blinked once and once again, pupils shaking but not once leaving her own reflection on the huge billboard, unable to believe the sight infront of her. Her chain of thoughts was interrupted as soon as she heard a surprising rhythmic whistle from next to her, making her slowly turn her head and there she found him, a wonderstruck Jeon Jungkook smirking with a glint in his eyes.

"Well, this just got a whole lot interesting,"
