Graduation was almost here.
I was super nervous as I grabbed my lunch change and ran out the door, hitting against Mitch.
"Woah, desperate much?" Mitch laughed.
"Heading out to meet Summer?" I mumbled.
"Uh...no. I came to meet you at the bus stop."
"Summer said yesterday on the bus you were going to hang out."
"No! I don't even know her that well! Now, come on, we have to catch the bus," Mitch snapped as he boarded the bus.
I laughed at Mitch. I knew he was a sweet man.

At the school, we had Homeroom first. We had a due assignment about bears today.
"Your due assignment shall be noted after lunch. And now onto today's topic: Plant Life!" Mr DeMarc announced.

Hours later

"O'er 'ere, lassie!" Dinna called out to me, smiling wide and waving her hand in the air.

I don't see Mitch getting my attention so I sit with them. We talk about going on an adventure some day, Mitch, and I even had to help frost Hannah's drink so it stayed cold.

Suddenly, I noticed a girl in a black hoodie and skirt staring at me. I try to look away but it is as if she locked my gaze on her.

"What are you looking at?" Dylan asked me seconds later.

"Nothing..." I quickly mutter.

Back in the classroom, the alarm rang.

"Good afternoon, NYJH. I have some special news. We are expecting a full fresh serve of students here! So expect some new faces tomorrow. Have a great rest of the day!"
