"Focus El, You're here to practice. Remember, anticipate the opponents reflexes. When you feel overconfident, don't forget that your enemy has strengths too" Isabelle said from behind. I was trying my best not to lose this fight.

I was here with Jason to learn some basic defenses. He's too strong but still I was trying my best. Isabelle asked me to learn some basics since I'll probably need that in future. She said after this, she'll teach me some basic defensive and offensive spells.

"Come on" As soon as those words left Jason's mouth, he swung a punch at my face which I stopped with my palm, using all of the energy I had in me. But he was just way too strong. Of course, he's a werewolf.

"I'm not doing this" I dropped to the floor and sat with my legs crossed.

"You're just too strong" He chuckled.

"Fine. We'll continue tomorrow" I nodded.

After that Isabelle taught me some spells. The basic ones.

"Repeat after me" Isabelle ordered.

"Vinculum" I repeated after her and with a flick of my fingers, I casted the spell on the green colored fairy. I was amazed by the effect of the spell.

The small green colored fairy that was flying in the air was now trapped inside a box and the box fell to the ground. I thought the fairy must've gotten hurt.

"Now again, repeat after me" Isabelle again ordered me.

"Contrarium" I again repeated after her and casted the spell on the box, releasing the fairy from the box. Glad that it wasn't hurt.

"Good" Isabelle praised me. It was I who trapped and released the fairy.

"Thankyou"

After an hour, I was finally able to learn some basic spells. The spell of imprisonment, sleep spell, a spell to make a person immobile, releasing spell, vanishing spell, heartbeat control spell, pain reduction spell, a spell to create a torch, resistance to frost spell, invisibility spell and doorway sealing spell. She asked me to practice it on my own and to practice some other spells from the book she gave me, the one that's her favorite.

"Here, take this" She held out her hand to me on which an encased dagger appeared.

"What's this for?"

"It's for your protection. It's a cursed dagger. Use it when you really need it. Keep it with you all the time" She said with a reassuring smile on her face.

I took it from her hand and placed it in my pocket. Turning, I was about to leave when Isabelle stopped me.

"Oh, and take this as well"

It was my mom's journal. She extended the hand that was holding the journal, towards me.

"Keep it. You should be the one to keep it"

I took it from her and left the practice room while clutching the journal close to my chest with both of my hands.

I read my mother's journal again. There were many sweet and embarrassing memories written in it. Especially the one where I nearly peed on grandma when I was 8! Like who pees on their grandmother when they're 8? I was reading the journal and smiling when my smile faltered as soon as I read the next line.

This journal can never get to the hands of Luis! If he got his hands on it, he'll know that I have a way to kill him and above all he'll know about the spell I created for immortality. A cursed dagger, that was cursed by our ancestors, that'll pierce right through his heart by the hands of a powerful French witch, is the only way to kill him. Otherwise he can never die, he's too strong to be killed by a normal dagger or any normal witch. He belongs to the bloodline of Snow Royals, that's what makes him powerful.

My eyes widened and I took out the dagger from my pocket, hurriedly. That's why Isabelle gave me the dagger. I was the powerful young witch from my family. That's why mom told me that I am special. I have the power even though I'm not the first born.

It's time to take some action!

Since I knew the way to Luis's hideout on Earth, I decided to go there myself. It was hard to convince Miranda to create a portal at first but she agreed when I talked her into believing that I was going home to meet Chelsea & Alex and I also told her that I have Isabelle's permission which I definitely lied.

And now I'm regretting it. Because here I am in the middle of a road, completely drenched with the rainwater falling on me.

Why does trouble always follow me around? Do I have a "kick me" sign on my back or something? Anyways, I'm glad that at least I know how to get there, to Luis's hideout, the same place where he kept Alex & I hostage. I actually memorized it when Seth rescued us and took us to our mansion.

Rain cascaded down my face, drenching my hair and clothes. My muscles tensed with the urgency to get under a shelter or something but I stayed put because I have to get there before someone gets to know about my absence back at the palace.

Soon the scowl on my face turned into a smile as the sun filtered through the clouds, signalling the end of the rain. I sighed a breath of relief. Finally, taking a right at the corner I was standing in front of Luis's guesthouse.

Taking a deep breath, I went inside. Suddenly, I felt suffocated because of the darkness inside but I'm glad that Isabelle taught me the torch spell. Being a nyctophobic makes it a necessity for a witch to know the torch spell.

"Inlumino" Suddenly an ignited globe appeared in my hand and I grinned, looking at it.

"What are you doing here?" My eyes widened upon hearing the voice that spoke.

Gulping, I turned around to come face to face with the owner of the voice. Sebastian! Why and How was he here? Did he see me leaving the palace?

"Uhh. Nothing" I waved my free hand in air awkwardly.

"I'm serious. Why are you here?" He said, inching closer. I could see the storm brewing in his eyes. He was angry and the look on his face was scaring the shit out of me.

"I'm here to meet Luis" I said, gulping in fear. Suddenly my throat felt dry.

"Why?" He said not really convinced by my excuse.

"He kidnapped you and Alex, remember?" He said in a tone that clearly showed he's not believing me.

"I know" I said shutting eyes, to avoid looking at him. I don't want him to know why I was here. Because I know he'll stop me from doing what I am about to do.

"You're here to kill him, No?" I shot open my eyes to look at him in pure confusion. How did he know?

"Mother gave you that dagger so that you'll protect yourself from Luis! She never should've given you that dagger" He rubbed his temples and shook his head in disappointment.

"I warned her that you will come here and try killing him!"

"Seth, it's supposed to kill him then why not do it now?" I said with hope and moved closer to him while he backed away, careful not to be touched by me.

"Because it's too dangerous. Why don't you understand?"

"I don't care"

"What if it didn't work?"

"What makes you say that? What if it works?" I retaliated.

"You're stubborn" He said, sighing in defeat.

"I know"

"But you're stubbornness is not gonna make you win this time" He said and with a gust of wind touched my skin.

"What the hell?" I couldn't move. He froze me into place. I looked at my feet, they were frozen to the ground.

"Tell me, what level of crazy is too much for you? I'm just curious" He asked sarcastically.

I Sighed, anger boiling up inside of me. How dare he do that?

"What is your problem?" Sighing, I tried to calm myself and talk him into my plan somehow.

"Look, I have an idea!" I said with a glint of hope in my eyes that maybe he'll let me do what I'm willing to do.

"What?" He said with a stern expression on his face and crossed his hands over his chest, waiting for what I have to say, expectedly.

"You will distract Luis and I'll just plunge the dagger into his heart"

He held his chin with his fingers, probably thinking about my idea. I looked at him expectedly.

"Admittedly, not a perfect plan" A scowl took over my face after he said that.

"I don't like this any more than you do. Okay? But I have to do this"

"No you don't have to. I'll do it my way" He said and was about to go inside when it clicked, he was here to meet Luis then why is he giving me an attitude! Isn't Luis our enemy? He's here to meet our enemy whereas I am here to kill him. Which makes my arrival here more appropriate. So I stopped him.

"Why are you here, Sebastian Wolf?" I asked him, aggravatingly.

"To talk you out of making the biggest mistake of your life. You're gonna get yourself killed" His expressions softened. He's right but I have to do this. I know I can do it then why can't he have a little bit of faith in me?

"And Just give in to my enemy? Well, never gonna happen" I said, standing my ground. I was here to kill him and I will leave this place when I've done the deed.

"Good luck then" He said, pointing towards my frozen legs with his eyebrows. I hate him. I tried to move my legs but all in vain.

"I hate you" With a smirk, he walked past me but I stopped him again.

"Where are you going? Don't leave me standing here all alone!" I said, the globe still in my hand.

"Nowhere. Just stay here till I get back" And with that he left me there.

I was starting to get tired by standing here with my legs frozen to the ground. Fuck him for doing this to me. Looking at my wrist watch, my mouth hung open. It's been 30 minutes straight since I've been standing and crouching, alternatively. I really hate him. Whining to myself, I crouched again.

Then an idea occured to me. Why don't I try and use the same spell Isabelle casted on me when I first came to White?

"Resistentia à u fretu" And it worked. I sighed and laid on the floor. Squealing in excitement, I got up.

"I have to go" Standing up, I made my way towards the cell where I was kept when Luis kidnapped me. But before going there, I heard voices coming from a nearby room.

"I'm sparing her life because of you" I was about to enter the room but stopped when I heard Luis's sinister voice.

"I know" The second voice belonged to Sebastian.

"Then why is she here? Does she want to give her life up instead after knowing that the love of her life is sacrificing his own for her sake?" Luis chuckled.

But what does he mean by sacrificing his own life? Who was he talking about?

"I'm not-" Sebastian's voice raised a little but the he cleared his throat and began again.

"I'm not the love of her life!" He spat with venom evident in his tone.

What? Why would Luis say that? Are my feelings that obvious? Fuck, if they really are! I blushed at that. But why did he say that he's sacrificing his own? I mean is Sebastian-, wait no! Why would he! It's not like he'll really do that.

"She don't know!" Sebastian said with sadness in his tone. I don't know what? Will someone please explain!

"Oh. Then she must know"

All of a sudden, the door of the room swung open, revealing me standing in front of it. My eyes widened and met an aqueous blue ones! Gulping, I looked at Luis who was smirking triumphantly.

"How did you get here?" Sebastian said with a scowl on his face and worry in his eyes.

"I used the same spell Isabelle used on me when I first came to White!" I explained.

"By the way, what is it that I don't know?" I looked at Luis, baffled and waiting for an explanation.

"Oh" Luis exchanged a look with Sebastian and started to walk towards me.

"Well. Our lover boy here is willing to give me his blood" I furrowed my brows in pure confusion.

"Let me elucidate it for you" He clasped his hands together and leaned against the doorway, a few inches away from me.

"Sebastian has the blood. So he promised me that he'll sacrifice himself but in return I'll have to spare your life" He elucidated.

"Lover boy" He murmured and rolled his eyes.

After hearing what he said, I was shocked. I looked at Sebastian who only stared at his father with so much anger, disgust and hatred that if looks could kill, Luis would've been 6 feets under the ground already. He was abhorred.

That's why Sebastian wasn't giving me any explanation when he rescued Alex and I! That's why he was being weird. But why was he sacrificing his life? I don't understand.

"But why?" I managed to say something and looked at Sebastian with god knows how many emotions in my eyes. I don't know what to feel.

"No time for answers. Just leave!" Seth ordered me, avoiding eye contact with me. At that moment I decided to do exactly what I planned to do.

"Invisique" I made myself invisible by using Invisibility spell. As soon as I disappeared from their sight, I looked at Sebastian who knew what was going on but by looks on the face of Luis, I could tell he was confused as to what I was planning to do.

"Expelliarmus" I disarmed Luis without him knowing. Now he won't be able to use his magic for a good 15 minutes.

He was looking here and there whereas I tried getting closer to him, this way I'll be able to plunge the dagger right into his heart but who was I kidding with! Before I could do it he looked right at me and smirked. He grasped my neck and started strangling me. The dagger fell from my hand and I started coughing for air as I felt all of the oxygen leaving my lungs.

"So much for Isabelle's star student, huh?" He said looking straight into my eyes. His eyes held no emotions. Not even anger!

"You think you can kill me?" He chuckled, sinisterly.

"And that with a mere dagger?" He raised his brows and shook his head.

"And yeah your spells won't work here" He smirked and pressed my neck a little more and pushed me till my back hit the wall.

"You-" Before he could finish his sentence, he was sent flying across the room.

Finally, I felt air rushing back into my lungs as I gasped for more. I coughed and tried to breath as fast as I could, suddenly becoming greedy for air.

"I told you not to hurt her" Seth said through gritted teeth.

"Well, she's the one who entered the lion's den!" Luis said as he tried to get up and wipe the blood that oozed out of his head, victimizing himself.

"You Okay?" Seth said. He crouched and got closer to me but maintaining a distance. I nodded.

"You're a self loathing, bottom feeder. You're a leech, sucking people dry & taking whatever you can so that you can survive!" Suddenly, Seth said something I thought he'd never say, not to his father! The aura, everything around him was dangerous. I could see the flame dancing in his aqueous blue, calm eyes.

"You are talking to your father!" Luis said with a hand on his heart, showing fake hurt. He got up and wiped the blood from his forehead with the back of his hand.

"Yeah. A father who don't give two fucks about his children!" Sebastian got up.

"Well said!" How could he be so selfish that he doesn't even care about his family?

I was still sitting on the floor with my back leaned on the wall. Sebastian and Luis were talking when the dagger caught my attention. Once again, I made myself invisible and tried to get my hands on the dagger. Successfully, I did. Now I had the dagger in my hand. I was only waiting for Luis to get his attention completely on Sebastian so that I'll plunge the dagger into his heart.

I was waiting when a thought occured to me. Why don't I break Sebastian's curse as well? I mean if I am gonna die anyway, why not lift the curse from him as well? I took out the paper from my pocket and mumbled the words.

"Recerso" Looking up, I saw a very angered Sebastian who was still talking to Luis, more like reasoning and Luis had the same calm, sinister look on his face.

"Recerso" I kept saying the word, this time a little loud.

Suddenly, I felt all of my energy getting drained and my eye lids became heavy. I felt a cold liquid coming out of my nose and eyes. Touching my eyes and nose, it was blood. The same unusual, dark blood I have.

All of a sudden, Sebastian stopped talking and a light emerged from him. The light was blinding that I had to cover my eyes. But since I had another mission to fulfil, so no time for closing my eyes. I took the advantage of what was going on, and got up. Luis was also covering his eyes.

I ran towards him and boom! I did it. Before he could process what was happening, I plunged the dagger straight into his heart.

"Go to hell!" I said through gritted teeth and pushed him.

His agonizing scream literally pierced my ears. He managed to balance his weight and lunged at me. He threw me flying away. Pain coursed through my whole body as soon as my body collided with the wall and then on the floor. My head hit the corner of the table that was on the floor, close to the wall.

I slumped to the ground with a bleeding and pounding head, before my eyes drooped closed, and darkness consumed me without telling Sebastian that I've lifted the curse off of him.

Am I going to die?
