Eloise's POV

Alex was fast asleep next to me. I was glad that he was. God knows what Luis will do to us. I hope he won't hurt Alex. I really hope someone will save us. Maybe Sebastian.

"Well, Well. Wanna hear a story?" The sinister voice of Luis pulled me out of my trance.

"No thankyou" I replied, curtly.

"Cocky, Are we?" He chuckled lightly and shook his head.

"Please, Let Alex go. He has got nothing to do with any of this!" I pleaded once again, hoping he'll let Alex go.

"You want my blood. I'll give it to you. Just let him go" At that he chuckled.

"What made you think that I'll ask you to give me your blood?" I gulped when he asked me that.

"I-I-" I failed to form words.

"Relax. Trust me, you'll die a peaceful death" He said, while sitting on a stool that was near the railings of the cell.

"You see, you're just like Jacinda! The attitude, those eyes, the hair, nose. Everything" He said staring into the space as if he's lost.

"I really loved her. But she chose your father over me" Wait what? But mom never mentioned that, nor to me neither in her journal.

"But it's fine. She didn't know about my feelings. Because I never told her, I never wanted to. You see, Immortality means everything to me. Can't waste my time on useless things" He said with a proud look on his stupid face.

"You're calling love useless!" I said, trying to tell him what he just said. Because what he said is wrong.

"I know" I just want to wipe that stupid smirk off of his ugly face.

"You don't even know how it feels to love someone and being loved by someone" I said through gritted teeth, trying to get up but got my knee scraped.

"I don't want to. I only want immortality" He said, opening his arms and looking up at the sky as if he has already got what he wants.

"Calling you a creep would be an affront to the creeps everywhere, You know that right?" I spatted the words. And he chuckled in response.

He was chuckling when we heard something.

"Looks like we have a company" He got up and left.

I really hope for it to be Sebastian.

It was him. It was Sebastian. As soon as he came into sight, relief washed over me. I didn't know how to react. My mind's like an internet browser. 17 tabs are open, 4 of them are frozen and I don't know where the music is coming from. I just wanted to hug him.

"Oh Seth, Thank god you're here!" I looked at him with hundreds of emotions running through my eyes.

"Where is Luis?" I asked Sebastian in urgency.

"He's not here. Don't worry"

He casted a spell and the chains that were around our hands and legs, clicked open. Alex was still asleep. I shook him to wake him up.

"Seth is here" Then I realized he don't know Sebastian.

"Who's Seth?"

"I'll explain later"

"Let's go" He ordered and picked Alex since he hurt his leg when Luis brought him here.

"Suffice to say I'm awesome" He mumbled under his breath but I heard him. I just smiled at that.

When Sebastian came to our rescue, Luis was nowhere to be seen. I was getting suspicious because Luis went to look for whoever the invader was which was Sebastian but he never came back. Maybe because Sebastian did something or maybe he made a deal? I made mental note to ask him that later.

Alex and I, we were sitting here in the kitchen across the small table. I explained everything to him and he was not very surprised. I mean I thought at first he wouldn't believe me and all but he took it really well. Above all, he didn't think of me as some crazy person.

I asked Sebastian and Isabelle to let Alex stay here and protect Aunt Chelsea via protection spell. So Sebastian went there and did it himself. Alex looked tired so I asked him get back to his room.

I was left alone in the kitchen when Sebastian walked in. I felt euphoric at the mere sight of him. I think I'm falling for him. I was blushing because once again, I was reminded of the last time's incident. Ugh! I hate it when I blush. I decided not to talk.

"You okay?" I looked up from my lap and at him to see if he was asking me.

"Me?" I asked pointing my index finger towards myself.

"Yes. Dumb" I nodded.

"I'm not dumb" Folded my hands across my chest and looked anywhere but him.

"Yeah. Yeah" He chuckled sarcastically before an awkward silence engulfed the environment.

"Uh" I looked up at him and couldn't believe the sight in front of me. He was nervous to talk to me? Really?

"I want to tell you something!" He said, scratching the back of his neck.

"Hmm" I hummed and looked at him patiently.

"Do you remember the statue you saw in the studio room?" He asked me out of nowhere about a statue. I guess he was talking about that statue, the one that looked as if it has been frozen.

"That frozen one?" I raised my brows at him and he nodded.

"Yeah I do remember"

"That's Jennie. Jennie Adamaris" He told me and I looked at him in pure confusion. I mean what was he talking about!

"What do you mean?"

"She was the leader of Sirens. A noble. Jennie and I, we were friends. Not just friends but she was my girlfriend" When he informed me that, I felt my heart being hit by bullets. I was jealous! But why was I? He's not even mine nor am I in love... Or am I?

"Actually, she confessed to me first. I was never interested but I didn't want to break her heart since she went through a lot and above all, she is my childhood friend" He explained. But why was he? I didn't even ask him to. I nodded at what he said, without looking at him the whole time but I could feel his eyes on me.

"So? How did this happen to her?" I asked him, now fidgeting with my fingers.

"I did this to her" My head shot up when he said that.

"What?"

"Yes. The curse I was talking about is this. I can't touch a girl of opposite gender except my mother and Mia" Oh My God. So this is why he couldn't kiss me. That's why he tried not to touch me.

"That's why I didn't kiss you" I blushed hard when he said that. Gosh, was not expecting him to say that so boldly. Again I was looking everywhere but him. I was biting my lip hard.

"And that's why I was looking for the journal. Your mother wrote a spell in it that can break this curse" When he said this, I remembered his conversation. The one he had with his mother the very same day I came to Kingdom White, accidentally.

"But who cursed you?" I finally managed to break the awkward silence by mustering up some courage.

"Ruby. She fell in love me and when she confessed, I was already in a relationship with Jennie so to get her revenge on me, she cursed me. One of the reason why I have hindered abilities. I can't seem to control my power. I tried to stop Jennie from touching me but she was too stubborn to listen to me and resulted in her getting frozen by a mere touch" He said with guilt evident in his voice as if all of this is his fault.

"Seth, it's not your fault" I looked him straight in the eyes. I could see the hurt and regret in his beautiful aqueous blue eyes.

I don't know where I got the courage from but I was looking him straight in the eyes. It's so hard to look at the person you like without getting nervous and blushing! So this is the feeling of falling in love? Ugh. Nevermind.

He just nodded and was about to leave.

"Seth?" He turned around and hummed.

"What did you tell Luis that he let us go?" As soon as I asked him that, his face showed multiple emotions.

"Nothing for you to worry about" He gave me a sad smile and left.

I know something's up. That's why he's being weird. Placing my hands inside the pockets of my jeans that I was wearing, since I have a habit of doing so, my hand came in contact with a paper inside my pocket. I pulled it out and suddenly remembered. The very same page Aunt Chelsea gave me, telling me that it might've fallen off from the journal.

I was shocked to see the spells written on them.

The spell for binding : ALLIGATURA PROCURATOR

The price : Death.

The spell for breaking the curse : RECERSO

The price : Can cause death, if not casted by a stronger witch.

But the only spell that caught my attention was the one to break the curse. What if I can use it to break the curse on him?

I will free him from his sufferings even if it costs me my life. Because I am in love, with him.
