Sebastian's POV

Eloise!

The only name on my mind since the day she has arrived to White. It's like I can't stop thinking about her. Even if I want to, I can't. First, I tried to push her away but my heart, it won't allow me to do so because I'm in love with her. I fell for her the moment I saw her in Paris, for the first time and I wished, I really wished that she was mine.

Last time I saw her, I know I went too far and tried to kiss her but I couldn't help. Her pink soft lips makes me want to kiss her and feel her lips against mine. I have never felt that way towards any girl, not even her.

By her I mean, Jennie Adamaris. The girl I ruined because of my selfishness. The leader of the Sirens. But glad the sirens didn't turned their backs on me. Well, to put it more logically everyone thinks that ruining Jennie wasn't my fault but I know that it really was my fault.

Jennie was the one who confessed her feelings to me and I didn't know how to turn her down, I just accepted her into my life. I never opened up to her though but I tried my best to be a good boyfriend but then everything changed.

Sighing, I placed the paint brush on the side table, that was in my hand for like an hour and I couldn't make a proper use of it, I turned to look at her frozen statue. Everytime I look at her, I'm reminded of those terrible memories, the memories when Ruby casted the curse on me.

It was Ruby who cursed me just because she liked me. When she confessed I turned her down because at that moment I was in a relationship with Jennie and I didn't want to cheat on her. So as a return Ruby cursed me.

Flashbacks

"You turned me down. Now live your life in complete loneliness. You won't ever be loved because whenever they'll try to touch you, they'll freeze" Ruby laughed evilly.

"I made your own power turn against your loved ones" She smiled like a devil.

"You are cursed and will be unless someone stronger than me breaks it. And that my dear is never gonna happen. No one can ever be stronger than me" She smirked and vanished.

Whenever I think about it, the whole scene gets played in front of me, over and over again. It's like the memory is still fresh in my mind. That's the very reason I can't risk touching Eloise but she won't understand, now would she? Because she don't even understand what I told her when I pulled away before I could kiss or touch her.

Everytime I refuse to touch her, I can see the hurt in her eyes but I can't help it. If I have to stay away from her to keep her safe then I will stay away from her even if I have to for the rest of my life, even if it kills me from inside.

Walking up towards the frozen statue of Jennie, I caressed her frozen cheek.

"I'm sorry" I whispered my apologies for the hundredth time in those five years. It's been five years since everything has been going wrong for me and my kingdom. First the death of Aunt Carolina, then the disturbance of the balance zone and then the curse.

Five Years Ago.

"Sebastian! She's bluffing. Why would she cast a curse that doesn't even exist? It's an ancient curse and as far as I know, the curse doesn't exist anymore" Jennie said while coming towards me. I flinched away before she could touch me and hid behind the sofa in my studio room.

"Don't touch me, Jennie. You'll freeze"

"I won't"

Before I could run away she extended her hand to touch me and a stubborn girl she is, she did touch me. At that moment my world stopped. She did it. That's it, she'll freeze now and she did. In front of my very eyes. She started freezing from the hand that touched me. A few teardrops trickled down her cheeks but before they could fall trickling down her face and on to the ground she froze completely.

Dropping to my knees on the ground, I cried my heart out.

Taking my hand away from her face, I sighed and went out of the room. I wanted to tell Eloise about my curse now and my search for the spell that can break it but before that I wanted to talk to mother. So, I went straight to the library since she would be there. Everyday, around this time she takes a break in the library by reading her favorite books or sometimes spell books.

As soon as I entered, I saw Eloise was there with mother so I decided to come later but I stopped when I saw Eloise almost tripping but before she could, she held onto the shelf. Unfortunately, it had a nail poking out that penetrated her finger's skin.

"Ouch" Blood oozed from her wound and a few droplets fell to the ground. I was about to go and help her but then I decided not to since mother was with her.

"You okay?" Mother turned around after hearing her.

"Yeah. Just a scratch" She smiled, reassuringly and I smiled at her.

After that both of them sat on the chairs across the table. I decided not to eavesdrop so I went towards the bookshelf to pick a book to read and wait for them to finish what they were talking. I could hear them, not clearly but muffled voices since I was standing near the shelf where they were a moment ago and the table where they sat, is far from here.

I was reading the book when something caught my eyes. The blood drops that dropped earlier from Eloise's wound. Crouching, I touched the droplet with my finger and examined it. The color was unusual. It was darker than normal blood, more likely, black. Then it clicked, she's the binding agent.

Panicking, I rose from my crouching position and placed the book back on the shelf. I started walking towards them. I couldn't hear them so I guessed Eloise must've left. But I stopped when I heard Eloise speak again.

"By the way, last time when I saw Ruby, she was trying to get her hands on the journal but it seemed as if she was being repelled by it" Eloise informed mother.

"What? She even tried to do that? She must've known about the spell!" Mother murmured but since I have a good hearing, I heard her. I can't see them since I'm standing behind the shelf, but the one closer to where they are sitting.

"What do you mean? What spell?"

"Jacinda loved to create her own spells. So she created a few that includes the spell Ruby needs to bind those ingredients with the help of your blood to become immortal" She informed Eloise "and the spell that can break the curse" and lastly, what she said made Eloise ask her a question.

It means mother knows that Eloise's blood is the binding agent. Must be mentioned in the journal. Mother told me yesterday that the page that has the heading 'Spells that I created' was torn, but only the first page. And according to mother, the very same page had the two spells, that she mentioned to Eloise just now, written on it.

"Ummm. What curse?" Eloise asked. She must be confused and wondering whether mother is talking about the same curse I mentioned to her or not.

"Huh?" I could feel the panic in her voice.

"What curse are you talking about? Is it the same curse that has been casted on Sebastian?" I was right, she is confused.

"Did he tell you this himself?" Mother asked her and I could sense the shock in her voice. It's because no one knows that except Mother, Mia and Jason and I've never told anyone about this.

"Yes."

"I'm sorry my child. But this is not my story to tell" When mother said that, I walked up to them.

"What story?" I spoked in order to sound as if I know nothing about what they just discussed.

As soon as I said that, she stood up from her chair and was about to make a run for the door but before she could, she knocked the empty cup with her hand which went flying on the floor and broke into pieces as soon as it landed on the floor. I pursed my lips to contain my laughter.

"Oh Sebastian" she laughed nervously.

I knew why she was behaving like this. She was feeling awkward around me. She turned to look at mother, probably worried about the cup she just broke.

"Oh. Don't worry about it. Someone will clean this up" She gave her a reassuring smile.

"I gotta go" As soon as those words left her mouth, without sparing me a glance, she fled.

As soon as she left, I chuckled at her actions only to get my mother to look at me with wide eyes.

"Oh My God" She breathed out.

"Is that you Sebastian?" I nodded with a smile on my face.

"You're in love with her. Aren't you?" I looked towards the floor and didn't say anything.

"You're never gonna move past this unless you face your feelings head on!" She said and I nodded in order to tell her that I already have faced my feelings.

"Yes. I am" Mother smiled at me and came closer.

"I'm glad to get my Seth back" She said by placing her hand on my shoulder.

"Me too" I said by placing my hand on hers that was resting on my shoulder.

"So, what brought you here?" She said finally getting in her Queen mode.

"Actually, I wanted to ask you something"

"Hmmm. Go ahead"

"Should I tell her about the curse? I mean I really want to because every time she tries to touch me, I flinch away and it hurts me to see her hurt"

"Seth, if you really want to tell her then go ahead tell her"

"Because if I were to tell her about it, then I'll have to tell her about Jennie as well"

"So? Tell her everything if you really are willing to let her know about your feelings"

She's right. I should tell Eloise everything except my feelings. Because I don't want her to get her hopes high. I can't touch her maybe I never will be able to. As much as I'd like to, as much as I crave her touch, I can't. I can't let her touch me nor can I touch her.

"Mother?"

"Hmm?" She hummed while going back to her seat.

"Why didn't you tell me that Eloise's blood was the binding agent?"

"Because I just found out" I nodded. So that's why mother didn't tell me.

"But how did you find out?" She asked me, looking up from the book in front of her.

"Oh, I saw the droplets of her blood back there. Her blood is dark, not the usual red in colour" I explained.

"Hmmm" She hummed. I was about to leave when mother stopped me.

"Oh Sebastian, I forgot to ask her about the torn page in Jacinda's journal. Will you mind asking her about it?" I nodded and left.

It's been hours since I've been looking for Eloise. I was outside her room right now. Knocking on the door, I waited for her response but nothing. So I opened the door and went inside. Guess she wasn't here as well. I was leaving the hall when something caught my attention. The very first painting I made when I was 8.

The painting of Eloise and I, when we were kids. It's like we were destined to meet. I never knew her before our first encounter that I've had dreams about her. The very first dream about her was that Eloise and I were playing on a swing. And when I saw her for the first time in real, I knew it was her. Because my dreams about her didn't stop after the first one.

I've seen her in my dreams many times before I could see her in person. I've seen her in my dreams when she was 14, I've seen her when she was 16. I kept seeing her but the dreams stopped when I finally saw her in real.

Smiling, I ran my hand over the painting. I turned around when someone placed their hand on my shoulder.

"Jason" I smiled.

"Hey buddy" I decided to ask him about Eloise.

"Do you know where Eloise is?"

"Yeah. She left for Earth" My eyes widened at that.

She shouldn't be there when everyone knows she has the blood of a binding agent. She's in danger.

After coming to Earth, I landed right in front of her mansion's gate. After talking to the guard, he let me in. I knocked on the door and after a minute a woman opened the door. The woman I saw once when I was a kid. Her aurburn long hair in a braid, the way she used to do back then. Her hazel eyes with the very same shine in them. Chelsea.

"Chelsea" I greeted with respect. At first she looked at me confused but I guess after making out my appearance, she knew who I was.

"Sebastian. You've grown into a beautiful young man" I looked at ground, shyly.

"Thankyou" I mumbled, wanting the awkwardness to vanish from the environment.

"Ummm. Is Eloise here?" I finally mustered up some courage to ask her. She smirked and nodded.

"Come inside" She stepped aside to let me in.

"She must be in her room"

Chelsea guided me towards her room. I mean I've been here before but directly inside her room, never into the house so I don't really know the way around to get to her room.

When she opened the door, we were left shocked at the sight in front of us. Everything was a mess. Not a single thing was at it's place. It was clear that she has been kidnapped and by the looks of the room, it seemed that she had struggled a lot.

I felt as if my heart has been taken out of my chest and someone's squeezing it. I curled my fists tightly as my breathing started to become harsh. I knew who did that. He's back. Luis is back.

"Oh My God" Chelsea rushed inside and started to look for Eloise.

"She has been kidnapped" She stopped moving and looked at me.

"What?" She looked at me as if she couldn't believe what I just said.

"Yes. She's been kidnapped. And I'm guessing Luis did that"

"But why?"

"Long story short : She has something that he wants, to become immortal"

"Check on Alex" I asked her to do so because as far as I know my father, he wouldn't only kidnap Eloise! If he wants her to listen to him, keeping Alex hostage is the way he'll be able to do that.

She rushed towards another room only to find it empty.

"It's empty"

"They took Alex as well" I nodded.

"Don't worry. I'll make sure they return home safely" I reassured her and left for the only place he'll keep them.

The guesthouse on Earth.

I was expecting high security since he knows that I know of this place but there wasn't a sign of someone other than me. So I went inside only to find darkness everywhere. I heard some movements from the right corner of the house. The sounds of chains. Following the sounds, I made my way towards the source but stopped when the lights turned on and a certain someone called me.

"Hello son" I turned around and there he stood, the very same and young Luis. No wrinkles, no white hair.

"Luis" I hate to call him father so I didn't instead I called him by his name.

"Nice to meet you too" He moved his head back and forth. Same sick sense of humor.

"Why do you have them?" I asked him, in an ordering tone.

"Oh come on. Don't use that tone on me. You're not in a position to order me around" He chuckled in a sinister way.

"Well I'm most certainly in a position to order you around, No?" I said, with a smirk. I am the Prince and will be a King, soon. Above all, more powerful than him.

"You know I can kill her with a flick of my finger and you can't kill me even if you want to. Your magic won't work on me" Then it occured to me. He must've asked Ruby to cast immunity spell on him before facing me. That's why he's acting like this!

"Just let them go" I sighed and rubbed my temples.

"And why would I do that? She's my ultimate ticket to immortality and you know that" He said with a smirk on his sick face and pointed towards me with his index finger.

"You can have my blood!" After a few minutes of thinking, I told him. I have the blood as well, the dark blood, blood of a binding agent. No one knows that except mother and me. We've known this from the beginning.

"What?" He said, astonished.

"Yes. I have the blood" I informed him only to receive a sinister grin from him.

"Well well. Let's get them out of here" He clasped his hands together and said with excitement.

I have to do this. I have to. I can't lose her, like this. I love her more than anything in this world. Whether she loves me or not. I don't even care if she will reciprocate the feelings I have for her or not. The only thing I want is for her to live a long and peaceful life. She don't deserve to die in a battle that isn't even hers.

I can never give up on her. Because losing her will be like losing a part of me. She is the peace that I crave in this chaotic world. I never wanna lose her. The mere thought of losing her makes my heart drop.

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, but loving someone deeply gives you courage. And that's what I have right now. Courage, that my love for her has granted me with.

"Let's go" I said and asked him to show me where he's keeping Alex and Eloise.
