Bias
Lucas
What does she think we are stupid? That's her fucking journal. She's had that in her little backpack ever since we left America.
"That's your journal." My voice was flat. I'm exhausted, I've had enough of this little game she's playing. We've been here far too long. I'm fucking starving.
"Yes! But it's here. We are close by." Y/N stared confidently. I looked over at Avery who had his face in his hands. I pointed at my best friend in annoyance at her calm demeanor. She didn't care about his well being. So I would make it known.
"Do you really think he can make another trip? He can barely walk around without pain!"
Y/N looked at Avery with worried eyes. I knew I hit a soft spot with her.
"I promise... this is the last trip."
I sighed, Avery looked up at the both of us with his white eyes.
"Okay." His voice was hoarse, slowly he got up from the cement block he was sitting on.
"Let's go."
Y/N walked over and hugged him gently.
"Thank you." She gave me a death glare.

What choice did we have? It made no use to fight amongst each other. The city of Seoul was like a ghost town. No one seemed to be here anymore... and the ones that were. Well, they were all dead.
I tossed my backpack on to my back, wincing from the sudden impact. Every day the pain got worse. My vision has become blurred in the past few days, making it difficult to read the journals. Let alone see what was on the one Y/N held up.
So what if it was hers... I was too tired to care.
After Lucas grabbed his bag and some waters from a local store that was abandoned. We trudged on like the wayward souls we were.
I watched as Y/N scanned the streets, it was evident she didn't know where she was going. So I tried to offer some help. Whatever help I could be.
Y/N sighed handing me the map that she pulled from one of the visitor stands.
"What are we looking for?" I asked. She pointed to the Hangul on the page with cross roads. I tapped my chin, squinting my eyes to try and focus on the page.
"There." I pointed. "We need to take a left at the next street."
Y/N smiled at me, which I returned as we continued walking. I could hear Lucas grumbling in the background. Something about being hungry and what good were girls if they only liked nerds. I chuckled to myself. I don't think it's nerds she likes. Pretty sure it's some guy in a K-pop band.
We turned down the street, the putrid smell of rotting flesh invaded our noses. I clasped my hands over my nose while Lucas puked the kimchi up that he had found in the store before. Y/N stood unfazed. She was a magica human being at this point. I'm pretty sure I like her. But she must have a stomach of steel.
"How is that smell not bothering you?"
She glanced at me with a smile. Y/N had put cotton balls up her nose. Smart girl. She held out her hand to me with two balls in it. I took them, cramming them up my sore nostrils.
"Thank you." I sound nasally. Lucas stopped puking, scowling at us.
"Seriously!"
Y/N threw two balls at him.
"Don't be such a baby."
He stuck his tongue out at her, cramming the balls up his nose. Then we all proceeded down the crowded street. By crowded I mean strewn with dead bodies.
I sighed, my joints were cramping really bad at this point. I needed to sit down. I think maybe we travelled about five miles. I don't know. I just know I want to stop.
"We are almost there." I heard Y/N say from beside me. I didn't realize how lost in thought I had been. Lucas was looking inside cars as we passed by.
"We could drive." Lucas informed us. Y/N shot his suggestion down quickly.
"Why risk getting infected."
Lucas frowned. He knew she was right. So did I. The car did sound nice though. I looked ahead to see a huge white penthouse in front of us, locked safely behind an iron fence. The gate had thick chains on it. Just outside of the gate lay about a hundred bodies, some with their hands clasped to the fence itself.
"What is this place?"
Y/N smiled.
"I can't believe I'm here." She whispered. Where was here? What is this place?
"Where are we, Y/N?" I asked a different question. Slowly she turned towards me.
"BTS, Penthouse."
Lucas lost his mind at that statement.
"You mean that fucking K-pop band with the guys they look like girls!!?"
He charged at her with rage filled eyes.
"You said we were coming here for a cure!!! Not some Fucking Army fantasy!"
Y/N tilted her head, pursing her lips. She didn't seem angry or upset. She seemed amused.
"Army?"
Lucas stopped in his pursuit or getting in her face. He looked over at me, scratching the back of his head in what appeared to be embarrassment.
"Like the military, Army?" I asked. Lucas' mouth went into a straight line. Y/N continued to look at Lucas amused.
"Are you an Army, Lucas?" She asked, amusement evident in her tone. I watched as my friend swallowed hard.
"Yea... so what?!" He folded his arms across his chest.
"Am I the only one confused here?" I questioned. Y/N smiled brightly, while Lucas sulked.
"He's a fan of BTS... I thought you didn't know k-pop?"
She turned back to Lucas, his face a nice shade of pink.
"I'm a closet fan."
Y/N clapped her hands excitedly.
"Who's your bias?"
Lucas glanced at me, I was still confused. However it was nice to see they weren't about to throw hands.
"Jin... Worldwide Handsome, ya know?"
Lucas blushed a deeper shade of pink. Y/N squealed.
I covered my ears.
"What are we doing now?" I interrupted their fan girl/boy thing.
Y/N smiled at me. Too cute.
"We figure out how to get in."

Y/N
How did I not know? I usually have a good radar for other Army. Perhaps because he smells. I chuckled to myself.
Carefully we made our way around the dead bodies. Some of them had BTS merch on them. My heart hurt for them.
I wonder if they were able to catch a glimpse of our boys from here. I looked up to one of the windows. They were all covered with papers. It was impossible to see inside.
"Who's yours?" Lucas interrupted my search.
"Taehyung..." I said without looking at him.
"I figured, because of TaTa on your notebook."
I looked at him.
"So you know the BT21 characters as well?"
He nodded. This boy really was Army..
"Favorite era?"
"All of them, I mean honestly how can you choose?"
"Right!?"
This is great. We could have been talking about them this whole time. I looked back at Avery. He had a small smile on his face. He was enjoying the fact that we were no longer bickering.
Lucas climbed up the iron fence, falling over the side with a loud thud.
"You okay!" I called out. I could hear him groaning. Avery popped up and over. You know even though he was in a good deal of pain. That guy landed on his feet!
Man he's amazing.
I followed after. Finding Lucas sitting up on the ground and Avery hunched over rubbing his knees.
I looked up to see the front door open. You'll never guess who was standing at the friggin door.
"Yoongi..." I choked on my words. He was pale but his eyes were bright. He seemed almost as excited as I was to see him standing there.
"Who are you?" He demanded.
"I'm Y/N... this is Lucas... and... And Avery." Oh goodness I can't even talk right now. Yoongi looked from one of us to the other. Until he saw Avery and his eyes froze on him.
"He's infected."
Quickly I moved to Avery. "He had the vaccine."
Yoongi's eyes widened.
"We thought he was the last survivor!" He waved his hand for us to come in.
Lucas never said a word. Pretty sure he was speechless.
We walked through the living room straight into the kitchen. Namjoon and Jin were sitting at the table talking quietly. When they saw us, they stood up. Namjoon looked angry. I on the other hand was on the verge of fainting and Lucas. Let's just say he squealed when he saw Jin.
"Hi." Said Avery. Because myself and Lucas were gawking at the three men in front of us.
"Why'd you let them in. This one is infected." Namjoon frowned, pointing at Avery. Yoongi put his hands up.
"He had the vaccine."
Both Jin and Namjoon's eyes bugged out.
"But I thought—"
"So did I." Yoongi interrupted.
All three of them stared at Avery.
"Annyeonghaseyo!" Screeched Lucas. I smacked my forehead. Jin laughed while Namjoon walked quickly from the room. Yoongi looked at Lucas with his eyebrow raised.
"Hello."
"A-sorry... we are just excited to meet you." I started. Yoongi smirked.
Jin chuckled, patting Lucas on the back. I swear that boy about fainted.
A siren wailed from somewhere in the distance. Jin and Yoongi took off in different directions.
"Get as far as you can away from each other!" Cried Yoongi as he disappeared behind the counter. Avery hid in a closet. I opened a random door to a bedroom and hid. Lucas just fell on the floor.
Then I heard coughing. It wasn't Avery's usual cough. It was someone else. A few seconds later I heard Avery's coughing start.
They kept him here!
I was excited and terrified at the same time.
