Chapter 7

"Don't think too much into this. This is is just me making up for the coffee I spilled on you the other day," Sora shrugged pretending to be indifferent to the smirk on Jimin's face

"Say what you want but you can't hide the fact that you are starting to like my company and it's been a month since the coffee incident, it's too late to use that as an excuse."

"It's still valid and also Big Hit is quite nice compared to my previous company," Sora chuckled to herself.

"You make me more appreciative of Jin's sense of humor," Jimin sighed in utter disappointment at the attempt.

Sora playfully nudged him with her elbow and Jimin nudged her back.

"I have missed this!" Jimin sighed as he took a sip from his cup.

"We just got back from the first leg of the tour. We didn't go on a wild trek through uninhabited lands where you didn't get coffee," Sora pointed out as she recalled the innumerable of cups of coffee that she had personally bought for everyone.

A smile played at her lips as she recalled the stressful days she had then dreaded.

Being on tour was something that Sora had grossly misjudged. She hadn't realized the amount of work that went into just putting up one show and to put up a show at the level that these boys did was a whole different thing.

Taehyung had been right about her seeing a side of them she wouldn't have before but he hadn't been right about her hating them after it. If anything, she now respected them much more than she did before.

Their time abroad had removed any of the remaining awkwardness between Jimin and Sora. The high-tension situations had a way of bringing focus to the important things and petty differences were left behind.

In all the chaos and confusion, they found a friend in the other.

Jimin and Sora sat on the bench at the bus stop, waiting in comfortable silence, for her bus to come. Sora was well aware why Jimin accompanied her to the bus stop even though he tried to play it off as the simple need to grab a cup of coffee at the end of the day.

She deemed it completely unnecessary but also secretly smiled at his concern for her safety.

"Are you sure you didn't miss your bus?" Jimin wondered as he saw his watch tick past the time Sora's bus was meant to arrive.

"Maybe its delayed, in any case, there'll be another one soon enough. You don't have to stay until then."

"I am not staying for you. I am waiting to finish my coffee," Jimin said as he took a sip of the non-existent coffee.

Sora scoffed at his miserable acting and took the styrofoam cup from his hands and tossed it into the dustbin. Jimin dropped his jaw in exaggerated shock and then pouted his lips in protest.

"Anyway, how's your shoulder now?"

"My shoulder? It's fine... Was it not supposed to be okay?"

"Jimin, I am your stylist. You think I would notice you wince every time you took off your jacket or the way you struggled your way out of a t-shirt?"

"Ah... well, that... It's better now. Please tell  me you didn't tell Hoseok!" Jimin prayed his roommate hadn't heard of it.

"Er...How much trouble would you get into if he knew? Hypothetically speaking," Sora asked, a sweet smile covering her lie.

Sora watched Jimin's eyes open wide in horror and his head shaking in denial.

"N-no! No no! Please, no... Oh god! that's it... I am done for," Jimin muttered as he paced back and forth in front of her.

"I was worried about you and it's just Hoseok, what could he possibly do?"

"Just Hoseok..." Jimin scoffed at Sora's naivety.

Hoseok, although considered the life and joy of the group, was quite intimidating when he wanted to be. Hoseok wasn't the kind to raise his voice when upset. He would simply let Jimin know of his disappointment and that was something that really hit home to Jimin.

"Jimin? Your phone... It's Hoseok."

Jimin jumped in fear, almost whacking the phone right out of Sora's hand as she held it out to him. Sora snickered at seeing him so flustered. His fingers forgetting any and all coordination as he almost dropped the phone again.

"It's Bang Sihyuk, you can relax!"

Jimin immediately checked his screen and groaned in frustration. "Sora!! That was not funny!"

Sora giggled as she picked up her bag and walked towards the approaching bus.

After Sora had alighted the bus, Jimin finally answered the phone.

Sora watched Jimin's body go rigid.

As the bus drove by, his eyes caught hers- hers concerned, his devoid of any emotion.

Only two words were said before the call had ended.

"It's time."
