Enough
In a room full of people,
I have never felt more alone.
When they never failed
to make me feel less of what I truly am.
The words they speak,
the judging eyes that follow me,
and every underlying tone of dissatisfaction
coating them when they turn to me.
Judging every decision,
Opening every wound,
Bringing back every mistake,
as if I didn't spend enough time pondering about it.
Difficult to breathe,
Eyes losing focus,
Hands turning white,
I feel restless although I don't know what to do.
What more do I have to give?
What more do I have to prove?
How many more sacrifices and sleepless nights—
Until I can be enough for you?
