Linda stared at Marry for a while and passed by silently. She looked down at the newspaper article once again, her breathing getting faster and heavier, her body becoming lifeless.

She had to warn others, the thought clicked instantaneously, she stood up and ran to the room climbing two stairs at one step.

She opened the door panting and petrified

" Guys, we gotta_" she stopped noticing that her friends didn't react to her return.

" Guys?" She proceeded towards them at a slow pace.

"Kate?""Ethan?"

Her friends have succumbed to the strong pull, their eyes now vacant, lost to the town's secret.

" GUYS?!?"

Marry shouted, pulled at them, pushed them, stroked them, but they were drowned in silence.

With no hope and no way out, Marry was lost between staying in Harrows Ridge, forever trapped in a never recovering secret, or leaving, leaving her friends behind.

Marry stared at Kate and Ethan, desperately trying to make a decision, wanting to take her friends without leaving them behind, but she had no choice.

She grabbed her backpack and ran. Ran as fast as she can, warm tears running down her face, heart screaming in pain. But she didn't look back.

She fell back to the track of the road. She ignored the voice and its pull. As she reached the end of the street, the world shifted, the town was gone, wiped from existence as if it had never been.
