⭐Y/N: It's not a surprise the world looks like this. Smoke covering the skies, badniks attacking and roaming cities to make sure no one gets in or out, and constant fighting. People living in fear and losing hope as the days go by. That was me 6 months ago after Sonic was assumed to be dead and the Resistance was formed. I too, was living in fear after Infinite attacked my town many months ago. I cowered because I had nowhere else to go, no one to hide behind.

To give some background, my family resides in a completely different city and I live in a small apartment home shared by a loving, elderly couple. They were like my second family, my family away from home. I moved to this small town to pursue my training of becoming a skilled fighter to maybe help and defend Mobians when chaos ensues. __________________________________________

When Infinite attacked my town, I was just frozen in place. With those powers, he could unleash absolute chaos onto anything he desires...that being Mobius itself. Our town was small and didn't have an advanced security procedure or army and we had no idea what Infinite was capable of. The Resistance arrived as soon as possible when they heard Infinite attack here. But, even they were no match for him. That was why they were defeated so easily; it was like dominos falling over a single touch.

I can still hear his bone-chilling voice echo inside my head when we first met. It's like he held me in place. I couldn't move, react, no matter how much I tried internally. __________________________________________

[Flashback: We see Y/N frozen in place, with a terrified but still face. The Resistance is using their weapons, aiming at Infinite, in front of Y/N. Unfortunately, wispons didn't seem to cause any effect or pain on Infinite. Infinite let out a bone-chilling chuckle, and blasted the Resistance down. Buildings were burning and broken in the background, people cowering and running, while Y/N couldn't move a muscle. Infinite looked at the last survivor of his attack and mocked them for being frozen in place and not attacking him like the Resistance.]

♾️Infinite (Flashback): I can taste your tremor, child. All that anxiety and doubt...It's delicious. [Infinite blasts Y/N, and they fall over, still trembling] Give in to your fear. Flee screaming and I'll let you live. [chuckles menacingly]

[Y/N slowly stands up and takes a step back, not turning away from Infinite. Then, they run away.]

♾️Infinite (to himself): As I thought.....pathetic. [teleports away]

- End of Flashback -

⭐Y/N (Inner Monologuing): Those words still haunt me to this day, but they also motivate me to keep fighting. I can't let someone just tell me I'm giving up because of fear. I can't give up. Not now. Especially when I'm now a skilled fighter, and I joined the Resistance during the beginning of the war.

With hard work and the light of hope leading our way, the war has ended and we're rebuilding our fading world, freeing it from those virtual enemies that terrorized us. Nowadays, it just seems like we're cleaning up after Eggman. 😒

Oh right.... I've just been talking to myself this whole time....

I guess that was just a slap to reality.
