"Alright, we got a mission to complete and a base we need to crash in!"

[A friendly but familiar face entered the room. Sonic squints his eyes to catch a glimpse of this stranger with a sweet, but dorky sounding voice.]

💙Sonic: Silver?

🤍Silver: [waves] Hey guys!

⭐Y/N's Inner Thoughts: So this must be the Silver they talk about. He looks cooler in person. [A/N: For context, you mostly heard of Silver and have interacted a bit with him, but mostly through your communicator and when he gave instructions during the events of Sonic Forces.]

[Silver turns to look at Y/N, with a face full of optimism and hope]

🤍Silver: Hey! It's the rookie! I-I mean, now that I think of it, you're a pro. I'm sorry 😅 [nervously chuckles, while rubbing the back of his head]

⭐Y/N: It's okay. 😅

🤍 Silver: [turns to Sonic] Good to see you again, Sonic.

💙Sonic: Same here. [chuckles, then talks with a hint of sass when talking about the Badnik attack] Silver, I had that, man.

🤍Silver: S-Sorry! I didn't mean to barge in and take all the credit.

💙 Sonic: It's cool. We're just glad you're here. Thanks for holding the door for us back there.

[Y/N looks at their surroundings in awe of how Eggman can even afford building these bases and Badniks that get destroyed any chance they get.]

🤍Silver: [confused] What door? I came in through the other way. 🤨

💙Sonic: [turns to look at the door] Well, if you didn't help me nor Y/N, then who did?-

💬??'s POV: Not another Badnik. Looks like it's your turn, Cyan.

[Cyan wisp flies into ??'s wispon and ?? aims it in a way that won't hit Y/N and the 2 hedgehogs] 💬

[Y/N sees a figure in the shadows with a wispon aiming for something behind all of them]

⭐Y/N: [turns around] Guys, I think we should duck-

[Just as all three of them turned around, a cyan beam of Wisp energy shocks the Badnik that was about to attack them from behind.]

⭐Y/N: HOLY CRAP-

[Parts of the now scrap Badnik fell to the ground with a sudden loud THUD]

💙Sonic: SINCE WHEN COULD YOU DO THAT?! 😨

🤍Silver: [shocked] I didn't! [realizes] It must be the Legendary Guardian Angel! (⁠ﾉﾟ⁠0ﾟ⁠)⁠ﾉ

⭐Y/N: [gasps] It must be! ＼⁠(ﾟ0ﾟ⁠＼⁠)

💙Sonic: The legendary what now? (⁠•⁠ ⁠▽⁠ ⁠•⁠;⁠)

🤍Silver: [surprised] Dude, how do you not know about the Guardian Angel? ＼⁠(ﾟ-ﾟ⁠＼⁠)

💙Sonic: [unamused] I spent 6 months in a small prison cell in space until Y/N here got me out. Pretty sure I missed a few things.

🤍 Silver: [gently hits his head] Ah, you're right. You missed most of the war. [clears throat] During the War, multiple units of the Resistance reported a mysterious person who would always be involved in battle, but never joined the army.

Whoever that was saved my life more than once- [gasps] They may be here to help us again! 🤍

⭐Y/N: I've also had my fair shares with the angel. They saved my life one time after I was almost crushed by debris.

Something may have knocked me unconscious, but when I regained conscious that day, I managed to see them at a distance. I thanked them, but when I checked again, they disappeared. At the time it felt real and like a dream at the same time. ⭐

💙Sonic: [turns to Silver] So wait, is that why you came back from the future? [smug look] To ask for an autograph? 😏

🤍Silver: Er, no. I came back because despite winning the war, defeating Eggman didn't save the future.

💙Sonic: [sarcastically] Way to kill the mood, Silv.

[Y/N nudges Sonic's shoulder in disapproval, catching Sonic off guard.]

⭐Y/N: So what is it this time?

🤍Silver: When I left, my world was taken over by the Eggman Empire, and the living conditions were harsh.

But when I came back after the War, the Eggman Empire was gone....and so was everyone else.

[looking down at shoes] There was nothing left; no animals, people, nor machinery. Just water and metallic plant life all around Mobius. 🤍

⭐Y/N: Welp...That's concerning. 😶

[Sonic nods in agreement to that statement]

🤍Silver: I know, right? So that why I came back: to find out what might have happened that caused this apocalyptic scenario to occur in my world.

[All 3 of them began to walk forwards in the base and continued their conversation]

🤍 Silver: Amy told me you two were out looking for clues in Eggman's bases and I thought I may be of some help to finding some.

💙Sonic: [walking past Badnik scraps, looking a bit worried] Yeah, and so is you two's Guardian Angel.

⭐Y/N: [takes a close look at the Badnik scraps] Whoever it is, they aren't using a standard Wispon.

🤍Silver: [looks in awe] How do you know?

⭐Y/N: [takes out their wispon] Usually your standard Wispon is built to clear out crowds of robots using the Wisps' power. This one however, is more precise.

*Skyow* *Thud* (x5)

[A sound of something heavy leaving dents on the door to the room right in front of the three began repeating in a rough, but rhythmic pattern, with small grunts from the mysterious person creating it. They look up to see where it's coming from.]

💬 ??'s POV: [continues hammering] Argh. Why couldn't Eggman make this door out of a weaker metallic material?! *sighs* This base has heavy security procedures, so I have to make this quick.

[remembers the memory Y/N talked about earlier from several months ago] That A/T. Could they be the same one I rescued during the war?

Focus. Remember the mission. Destroy what's behind this door, and retreat. Now, swing with full arm strength, dang it. 💬

🤍Silver: That must be them!

💬??'s POV: [stops hammering] What in the-

🤍Silver: Hey! Guardian Angel! [Floats over to greet them]

💬??: [notices Silver approaching them] Eek! [They escape, looking for somewhere to fly using their wispon]

[Y/N stares in awe at ?? flying away]

🤍 Silver: [stops in place, with Y/N and Sonic right behind him] I-I don't understand. I thought we were on the same side. (I'm a big fan.) 😟

💙Sonic: [sighs] Silver...[looks up to where ?? is hiding] Yo! Sorry for coming off too strong. I'm Sonic, my over-eager friend here is Silver, and my friend on the left is Y/N.

💬??'s POV: Y/N? So that's their name. It's quite nice.

[A gentle light blush slightly appears on their cheeks, but is slightly hidden due to their mask. ??'s wisps notice ??'s face and a few familiar faces down below. Y/N's wisp flies out of the wispon and ??'s wisps begin to fly down, confusing ??]

💙Sonic: [is surrounded by ??'s wisps flying around him] Whoa, haha. Hey guys! I knew it was you guys doing all this cool Badnik action stuff!

[The wisps turn over to hug their fellow wisp: Y/N's wisp, and then they all float near Sonic]

💬??'s POV: They recognize them? [jumps down from their hiding place]

💙Sonic: [to ??] I saved their planet a while back from Eggman...long story. I guess I may have left an impression on them. 😅

[?? removes their mask to reveal a surprisingly adorable face of a brown female wolf with a biscotti colored muzzle.]

💬 ??: [shyly greets them in a quiet voice] Whisper.

💙Sonic: [carries the wisps on him] Cool.

💭⭐Y/N's Inner Thoughts: So that's her name. She seems nice.

🤍 Silver: [whispers] Why are we whispering?

⭐Y/N: [whispers] I'm pretty sure that's her name.

🤍 Silver: [whispers back] Ohhh, that makes sense.

💙Sonic: [sarcastically] No kidding, genius. 😑

Care to get the door for us, Silverware? 😏

🤍 Silver: Alright, I get it. You don't have to rub it in. 😒

[Silver uses his telekinetic powers with all his strength to open the steel door for the 4 of them, only to reveal a crowd of Badniks waiting for them to arrive!]

💙Sonic: Alright, everyone. Let's do this [puts on a confident smirk]

[The four of them get into a fighting stance. Y/N pulls out their wispon, and Whisper locks her wispon with more ammo. Then, the fight begins]

[Sonic runs towards the bigger Badnik, jumping off smaller Badniks and destroying them in the process, while Y/N and Whisper attack in different directions using their wispons. Silver using his telekinetic powers fights Badniks, but while doing so, releases the door, locking the 4 of them in with the Badniks.]

🤍 Silver: [looks back at the door] Whoops! 😬

[The battle continued, and the Badniks are becoming harder to defeat as it continued.]

💙Sonic: [running] Silver! We gotta beat up the small ones so we can focus on the big one!

🤍Silver: [smiles confidently] Got it! Come on!

[Sonic spindashes towards Silver, floating in a telekinetic power beam around him. Silver uses all his might to launch Sonic all around the room, like a pinball bouncing on all the smaller Badniks. Except one of them was right where Whisper was and it exploded.]

[Luckily, Whisper managed to dodge it, but she was crushed by parts of the now destroyed Badnik on her lower torso and her Wispon was too far away to reach. Her wisps stood in front of her, ready to protect her from a Badnik coming her way, until Silver and Y/N came to the rescue.]

🤍Silver: [struggling] Ngh- I'll hold it off as long as I can, Y/N.

⭐Y/N: [nods] Hang on, Whisper! [They remove heavy metallic scrap parts off of Whisper]

💠Whisper's Inner Thoughts: They're saving me? I appreciate the help, but why can't I say anything?! I can't talk- it's like my voice just disappeared. 💠

⭐Y/N: Okay, that should do it. Are you okay, Whisper?

💠Whisper: [nods]

[Meanwhile, Sonic runs towards the bigger Badnik, dodging missiles aiming for him. He spindashes many times on different parts of the robot, finding the weak points. A small pig Flicky was released from the Badnik, and it powered off.]

[After the fight stopped, Silver and Y/N decide to clean up any scraps in the way and check up on Whisper, who was maybe too stunned to speak.]

⭐Y/N: [gently smiles at Whisper] It's okay if you prefer to work alone.

🤍Silver: But it looks to me that you've put together quite the team. [Puts scrap parts into a pile]

⭐Y/N: And we'd be proud to be a part of it. [Lends out their hand to help Whisper out]

Whisper: [looking to the side, gently smiling while holding onto Y/N's hand; whispers] Maybe 😅

[A notification popped up on the screen of a computer in the room. Whisper activated her wispon with the cube wisp and walked towards it with anger in her eyes]

💙Sonic: [wide eyed] Whoa, whoa, whoa! You can tear this place up when we're done. We need to collect vital intel from this computer first.

💠Whisper: [looks at Sonic, and lowers her wispon] Okay.

💙Sonic: What did Eggman do to you?

💭💠Whisper's Inner Thoughts: A lot of things.

[Silver and Y/N approach the computer, while Silver tries looking through it's files]

🤍Silver: Alright, let's see here. Looks like there was a major update on the Eggnet. Okay, there's the previous encounter Sonic had with the fake Eggman who sent Badniks outta nowhere across the world. It's almost like Neo Metal Sonic isn't even trying to hid-

⭐Y/N: Wait, Neo Metal Son-

⭐🤍Both: HOLY CRAP!

💙Sonic: [looks at the screen] We need to call Knuckles, NOW.

[They all stand in shock, but had no time to lose]

⭐Y/N: [runs towards Whisper] Whisper, would you like to join us? You don't have to, but at least to accompany us.

💠Whisper: [whispers] Yes.

⭐Y/N: Wait, really? I thought you were going to say no, since you're more of a solo fighter.

💠Whisper: [whispers] This is more serious. More help needed.

⭐Y/N: Well, I'm happy to invite you into our team. [tries to shake Whisper's hand]

💠Whisper: [doesn't respond to the handshake, and lowers Y/N's hand] Ally. An alliance.

⭐Y/N: Oh, got it.

[Meanwhile at the Resistance HQ's meeting room....]

💢 Knuckles: [groans in pain, while rubbing his head, and reaching for a chair to sit on] Argh!

🌹Amy Rose: [concerned] Knuckles! What happened? Are you okay? 😟

💢 Knuckles: Argh! It's the Master Emerald. Something feels wrong. [sits down on a chair]

🌹Amy Rose: But, it's hidden on Angel Island, floating island in the sky. That's the whole reason you've been helping us, the reason the Resistance succeeded against the Eggman Empire.

💢 Knuckles: I know. But as the guardian, I have a special connection with the Master Emerald, and I think it's calling me-

*Beep beep*

[A alert appears on the main screen of the Meeting Room's computer, catching the attention of Amy and Knuckles]

📞💙 Sonic: Amy! Knux! Can you hear me? Silver, Y/N and I found what Neo's up to. I need to you call in everyone, NOW!

[We now focus away from our heroes and are somewhere on Angel Island, specifics inside a cave, with the only light source being blue glowing crystals with marks on them.]

[An ominous figure sitting on a metallic throne on top of the Master Emerald begins to give a villainous monologue.
That figure was none other than the rebellious, metallic mastermind Neo Metal Sonic.].

🤖💙 Neo Metal Sonic (NMS): [with a menacing glare] The Master Emerald. "The Controller", as it's nicknamed. One of the most powerful gems in the world, with the ability to neutralize the Chaos Emeralds.

So come to me, Sonic, as yourself, OR as Super Sonic. Either way...you will be powerless to stop me.

[Neo Metal Sonic disappears out of the focus and we see Angel Island with Eggman robots, an Eggman statue, and a city being built on top of its natural land that is slowly becoming no more.]

HOLY CRAP, THIS TOOK A LOT OF MOTIVATION TO TYPE ALL DOWN. But at least Whisper and Silver were revealed :D
