*Y/N's communicator rings*

"Oh right.... I've just been talking to myself this whole time."

"I guess that was just a slap to reality..."

[Y/N gets a call from Amy Rose on their communicator. They answer it.]

⭐Y/N: Amy! It's good to see you!

🌹Amy Rose: It's good to see you too, Rookie! Welp, I guess it's not Rookie anymore. 😅 You're a pro at this point and I'm proud!

But I didn't call you just for some small talk. I actually was wondering if you could go on a little task...a mission of some sorts! 🌹

⭐Y/N: Of course, Amy! I'll do anything at this point; I have nothing much to do! 😅 What kind of mission?

🌹Amy Rose: Well, this mission has to do with infiltrating one of Eggman's pyramid bases! We detected something there that we should take care of, just in case it's hazardous. The mission takes place in the night, where we can efficiently infiltrate the base in secret.

Sonic was the one planning on going there himself, but knowing him, he'll get himself in trouble. 😅

And since you're one of our most skilled fighters since the War began, it would be really helpful to go check it out....maybe help Sonic out just in case. That is if you're willing to do that. 🌹

⭐Y/N: [nods] You can count on me, Amy! 🙂

🌹Amy Rose: Thank you, Y/N. I'm sure you'll both do well, and I wish you luck! Until then, I'll notify you if there's any changes of plans and stuff. Meet me at the base at 2:30pm and I'll give you and Sonic the coordinates. See ya there!

⭐Y/N: See ya there! [The call ends]

⭐Y/N: [looks at an abandoned building they're in] Welp, goodbye, you random abandoned building. I'm not cleaning up for an overgrown Egg child anymore. [They run away into the horizon, leaving the abandoned city they were cleaning up]

[Y/N finally reached the Resistance's HQ. Unfortunately, they were out of breath and stopped to catch some air.]

⭐Y/N: [wheezes/pants] JEEZ HOW DOES SONIC DO THIS ALL THE TIME?!😓

[Y/N takes a deep breath and fixes their C/T, which was all over the place due to them running for quite a while. Then, they enter the passcode to the Resistance's HQ. As they walked through the hollow and empty hallway, random thoughts flooded their head.]

⭐💭Y/N's Inner Thoughts: I wonder what they detected.... Could it be a badnik or maybe some weird creation of Eggman? [sighs] I don't know, but it's nothing I can't handle [puts determined face on].

[Footsteps echo on the metallic grey floor⬇️]

I wonder how long this mission lasts until I have to pick up after a man-child again. Oh well, it may be a lot, but I'm a hard worker. And hard work certainly gets rewarded.

What am I eating for dinner today.....WHAT AM I THINKING RIGHT NOW?! I gotta take this a bit more seriously. [finally reaches the HQ meeting room; inner thoughts end] 💭

⭐Y/N: Well, here goes...

[Y/N opens the door for the first time after the war was over. Anxiously  awaiting the faces of the Resistance they haven't seen ever since they left to restore cities/places after the War.]

[The doors open and Y/N enters in with a determined face....that immediately turns into a bright smile when they see Amy.]

[Some background music to set the tone ⬇️]

⭐Y/N: Amy! It's great to see you in person after a long while! [hugs Amy]

🌹Amy Rose: [hugs back] It's great to see your face too, Y/N! It's been months since we last saw each other. 😄

⭐Y/N: Where's Commander Knuckles and the others?

🌹Amy Rose: He's in the other room training. I'll tell him you said hi later!

As for the others, they're in different parts of Mobius helping others rebuild and restore certain areas damaged by the Eggman Empire.

Oh! Sonic, you remember Y/N the A/T right? 🌹

💙Sonic: U-huh.

🌹Amy Rose: [sighs] Sonic, can you at least come out of the shadows and get over here for the coordinates?

💙Sonic: [gently chuckles] Sorry, Ames. I can't help but pretend I'm Shadow! He's always acting mysterious...and hilariously edgy.

🌹Amy Rose: Really, Sonic?

💙Sonic: I mean you confused me for him one time....Tails told me [He silently chuckles as he approaches Y/N and Amy]

🌹Amy Rose: [sighs] It was one time! And now Tails probably thinks I can't tell the difference between black, silver, and blue.

🌹Amy Rose: Now, let's not get carried away! [She walks towards a printer, grabs 2 freshly printed papers, and hands them to Y/N and Sonic] The coordinates are on these papers. I made an extra in case one gets lost.

[looks at Y/N] Now I should've told you this from the start!

After the war ended, some members of the Resistance quit and reunited with their families, but left their wispons behind. And I was wondering if one of these might be of interest to you.

[These are the wispons btw or make up one of your choosing if you want to be creative!⬇️]

[And these are the wisps you can use for the wispon of your choice or the one you create yourself!]

[Y/N chooses WP/OC and W/T. The W/T flies around Y/N greeting them with a happy W/TC aura surrounding it.]

⭐Y/N: [gently giggles] Aww, it's good to see you too, bud! Alrighty then, Amy. Thank you so much!

🌹Amy Rose: Please, no need to thank me. Before both of you go, I packed some snacks in case you both get hungry. No starving heroes on my watch! [hands Y/N a paper bag and puts it inside their AC/T.] Now, go ahead and kick some Egg-butt! Ta-ta for now!

💙Sonic: Later, Ames! [winks] 😉

⭐Y/N: Bye, Amy! 👋😄 [walks towards exit, putting their wispon away]

[Sonic and Y/N were barely outside of the HQ when they hear Amy say the following:]

🌹Amy Rose: STAY SAFE AND DON'T DIE, OKAY!! IF YOU SEE ANYTHING STRANGE, DON'T TAUNT IT...I'M LOOKING AT YOU, SONIC. DON'T GET INTO ANY MISCHIEF! ＼⁠(ﾟoﾟ⁠＼⁠)

💙Sonic: That I can't promise, Ames. But I'll try my best!

[Sonic and Y/N then exit.]

⭐Y/N: [looks at Sonic] Mom friend?

💙Sonic: [looks at Y/N; nods] Definitely.
