Lash's pov

a week after I came home I run up the familiar tree that I knew X would meet me at as usual. I take a calm seat and I relax for the first time since I was hurt by Eggman. I hear X say," you're finally back, what happened to you?" I chuckle," a lot, I got hit in the head and fell into a coma for a few months, but I'm back, ready to defend my real home." X smiles," but do you really need to defend a dying world?" I nod," yes, because I know Robotnik won't stop at mobius, his entire goal is to kill me, use my powers to fuel his machines, but he won't spare earth, I know that much, once a conquer, always a conquer." X stands," would you mind if I helped you out then? I'm a scientist, besides I've been wanting to meet your family."

I nod," sure, I trust you, much more then Robotnik." He chuckles," then show me the way, I don't really have any supplies so I don't have to worry about packing." I nod," ok" I get down, starting to walk back home and X follows behind. Once we get home its nearly noon and sky runs out and notices X," um Lash, who is this?" " this is X, he wants to join us, to help us fend off Robotnik." X waves softly and extends a hand to sky. I watch her fur flicker for moments and she grabs his hand, shaking it," welcome to the Robotnik resistance" X smiles and says," a pleasure, is there anywhere I might be able to set up a scientists lab?" Sky thinks it over and says," well I can always start building a new building, since I've heard that scientists tend to blow stuff up when an experiment fails." He laughs," agreed. A new building might be better suited for my work. I promise you won't regret this."

A month later the new building is done and X gives us all commlinks and says," they'll help you communicate if you run into trouble and need help, besides it'll let you communicate better in battle." I nod and place it in my ear and I cringe," does it have to be in the ear? We all have super sensitive hearing." " ah right, thankfully I thought of that so the volume is low enough to where it shouldn't bother you, and if its uncomfortable I can pad it so it doesn't chaff your ear." I nod," yeah that would be appreciated." I take it out and he says," give the others to your friends, and bring any back that may need modifications." I nod and scoop them up." Ok" and I race off.
