Lash's pov

X had just finished the daily extraction and I lay on the cold floor panting heavily as I grab the small robot and it starts replenishing my energy. After a moment I get up and I sit on the mattress. I look around and I can tell the others are worried about me but I knew I couldn't displace that worry without setting off X's guard against Eggman and it would ruin any chance of all of us getting out of here. I pick up the electrified quill I had and I keep tossing it at the wall, pulling it back before it hit the ground and repeating, it was an easy way to cure boredom while I waited for the next extraction or the next meal. A few hours later I hear footsteps outside and I catch the quill and I look over and I see Eggman. I stand and I walk over to the glass and he says softly," it's helped hasn't it?" I nod and I open my hand to show the little cute robot and I smile as I close my hand and I get a smirk on," so what brings you here egghead?"

He responds back and says," I wanted to see what had become of the fantastic hero that caused me so much trouble, and your in quite the pathetic state, I'm surprised you can stay standing!" I chuckle," its gonna take more then an electric siphon to take me down." He laughs and I could feel myself getting dizzy from being drained and Eggman seems to notice and he says," I hope you sleep well hedgehog, because tomorrow you may not wake up." He walks away and I sit down and I fall onto the mattress, falling asleep.

Eggman's pov

I sigh as I walk away and I send a tiny robot off, knowing that my mobian friend would be here in 3 days. I just hoped that the kinetic battery would be enough to keep her alive.
The next day she wakes up and X asks me," you want to be there for the extraction?" I nod," sure, it'll be fun" I follow him to the cells and he stops at lashes and she sits on the bed and says," here we go again liar, y'know I actually trusted you X, you were a good friend that i thought didn't care about my abilities, guess I was wrong, your just like what my mum said! You just like me for my power." X chuckles darkly and he turns a dial and I watch the electricity be pulled from her until she stops screaming and he stops and says," I'll let you have a moment, she's pretty much dead tomorrow." He walks away and I open the glass, stepping inside and I place the robot in her hand softly and I sigh." You aren't going to survive until rescue, I need to think of something quickly, wait if I take her place she'll be able to survive until Fell gets here." I send out a robot and it closes the tube, and I pull on long rubber gloves and I hold her far enough away from anything conductive for the night.

The next day her eyes barely open and she asks weakly," Robotnik? Why?" I softly say," don't move, you'll be protected from the machines thanks to my rubber gloves, I'll take your place for today, rescue is coming tomorrow before extraction time." She softly nods and closes her eyes, likely happy to rest. X comes down the hall and asks," what's this about?" I say calmly," I am taking her place, give her time to recover before another extraction." X laughs and turns the dial causing me to cry out and after a few minutes it's over and I collapse exhaustion weighing me down and lash climbs out of my arms and she pulls me over to the bed and she says," sleep, your little battery can't help you, trust me its been a big help." I smile and slip off to sleep.
