Lash's pov
I sit down on the couch, wiping the sweat from my wet fur. Today was extremely hot, hotter then any day in green hills and I was not feeling up to running. Sky walks in and sees everyone trying to get relief from the heat. She asks," would anybody be up for the beach? The waves look amazing today" we all pretty much jump at the opportunity to get out of this boiling hot house. We head down to the beach and Sky's telling me all about surfing and since I was a much better swimmer I thought I'd give it a try. We get on boards and we hit the waves, I just hang onto the board and enjoy the ride. After hours of playing in the waves a storm rolls in and we can't see the shore.

I watch as sky's board snaps and she falls under the waves, I cry out and I see a metallic hook grab her and wrap her in a ball of metal, pulling her above the clouds, and one by one as we fall we're scooped up, I hang on for hours until exhaustion hits me hard and I let go and get slammed into some rocks and I feel metal under me and my vision slips in and out until I'm dropped off and I hear someone say," smell this, it should help you focus again" I sniff and I realize its smelling salts and my vision focuses and I see Eggman. I quickly stand and let lightning flow to my quills and he says," wait! I just saved your life, all of your friends are ok, they just need to rest, besides you have a lot of broken quills that we should pull out before any get infected." I sigh as I realize he's right and the lightning disperses. He leads me to a medical room and he sets down an empty jar and he asks me to lay on my stomach so he can get out the broken quills and I listen, laying down and he warns," this may hurt a bit, but it won't last long." I nod and I grab the edges of the soft bed and one by one he pulls out quills and soon he says," there, I got all the broken ones out, now just sleep, it'll be awhile before your friends wake up anyways." I nod and I slip off to sleep.

Later

I wake up, sitting up and feeling rested. Though a big part of my mind was screaming at me to run while I still had a chance yet a part of me was curious. He could've locked me up and done his crazy experiments on me, and let my friends drown. Yet he saved them... but I wasn't so certain that he was fully turned to good. He flies his carrier over our new home and uses his robot drones to set us in our home and I carefully take each of my friends and I place them in their beds, wondering how in speeds name I was gonna get them to believe what has happened.
