Lash's pov
It's been a few days since Sky saved me, and my quills have been slowly starting to grow back, sure I still can't summon lightning or run nearly as fast as I can. Everybody wanted to head to the beach, I wasn't a big fan myself of the ocean, but I didn't want to ruin what fun I might have there, so I went along, hanging onto the Tornado I enjoyed the feeling of the wind on my face.

As we land by the beach I hop off the Tornado, my quills stretching in excitement. I slowly walk forward and everybody starts setting up beach chairs I do my best to help, at one point I forget about my speed and I run to go get more chairs. my back explodes in pain and I stumble on my way back with the chairs, causing my arm to get stuck underneath. I cry out and Nightmare comes over and scoops up the chairs, Sky helping me stand again and she asks," you ok?" I nod," just forgot for a second, my body can't handle the electricity right now, so running was a bad idea." she nods," oh ok, just take it easy." we head back to the shore and the others get into the water but I stay out, just making a sand castle and sky calls out," hey Lash? want to get in and wrestle? the waters great" I look up and I see her sitting on top of Comic and Nightmare on his own. I stand and debate it for a minute and I say," I'll come in, but know now that I can't entirely swim." Nightmare speaks up and says," if you fall in I'll make sure to pull you up." I nod," ok" and I climb onto nightmare, feeling him grip my legs tight and I grip Sky's small hands and I see her fur change again and I smirk," no shocking, you'll kill us all like that." she chuckles," I know, I just need the strength advantage." once someone says go I start putting all the effort I have into it but after a minute I fail and I fall back, holding my breath as I fall in, quickly trying to go up and I feel the waves pull me away from the group and I come up, gasping.

I call out, trying to get the others attention but they seem panicked as they're looking around for me. I wave my hands high and I see a red and white floating thing being thrown toward me. I quickly grip on, pulling myself above the water, coughing a bit as I feel the floaty bit being pulled into shore. once my feet can grip ground I climb out, happy to be back on solid land." whew, solid ground! that could've gone so much worse." nightmare rushes over," you ok? you scared us!" I smile," I'm fine, not my fault that the current dragged me out the second I went under, at least I was able to stay afloat until someone could help right?" they nod," y'know Lash, I might need to teach you to swim properly, so that you can get back to shore if anything bad happens in the water." Sky says and I nod," I agree Sky, just give me a second." she laughs and nods. After a few minutes I get back into the water, with a floatie on to start.

With time I slowly got better at staying above water until we fully got rid of the floatie and I started swimming on my own. the day was amazing, and tons of fun. I couldn't wait to see what the universe had next for me.
