Lash's pov
I'm running around, holding an emerald to help me locate more when I notice rainbow dash flying above me as I run. I chuckle and I pick up speed, glancing at the emerald and I put it away, I got time for a bit of fun. I curl into a furry and spikey ball, hitting trees that launch me up to rainbow dash's height," WHAHOOO, hiya rainbow dash!" I somehow land on a cloud and i keep running, I had learned to ignore physics here as I keep a steady pace and dash's jaw drops," how are you doing that? Only pegasi can land on clouds?" "I must be light enough to hold surface tension, but I likely can't stop." She laughs and shakes her head," so what brings you around?" "I was just doing my cloud duties when i spotted you, didn't expect to see you come up here." I shrug," what can I say? I'm in it for the run." I leap to another cloud, having the fun of my life when I leap again and wires suddenly trap me and rainbow dash, I bristle my quills and break out instantly but I can see dash starting to panic and I touch her, saying calmly," I've got you, Rainbow dash please calm down, I can't cut you free safely if you're panicking. Just breath, focus on my hand" 

she starts slowly calming down and I pluck out a quill with a wince and she asks," what are you doing with that?" "I need to cut you free before whoever made the floating net comes back" I look around and I see on the corner of the silvery net a robotic egg drone." Ohi, and if its who I'm thinking then we don't have long, I just need you to be ready to spread your wings at a moments notice, I'll ride a drone on the way down, just trust me." She nods and I start cutting her free, gathering the last of the ropes, keeping my tone calm and firm" ok, once this is cut, dive below the clouds until almost tree level, then fly, i'll follow as fast as i can, i'm just hoping he didn't put it in the trees" she nods and i cut it, dash starting to fall and i swing on the net, a whole swarm of drones erupting from the trees, i curl up, pulling myself as tight as i can and i let myself drop, crying out as i hit my back, and i uncurl and i start running, leaping off of a tree and i see dash get wrapped up in net, drones completely surrounding her and i hurry, running as fast as i can, time stopping around me as my heart pounds, a powerful theme pooling around me, come on, push, electricity launches off of me as i land on dash's head and the electricity hits the drones and i grab dash, pulling the net behind me and i leap away, dash gasping as she start waking up outside of time and i'm just running, desperate to get away and she finally calls out," Stop, we're far enough to be safe." I finally stop, gasping as i collapse, the net fully falling to the ground as time resumes and i collapse, just trying to catch my breath," you ok? They didn't hurt you right?" She nods, seeming to notice the worry in my eyes as i cut her free again and she hugs me," thanks for the save, but are you ok? That was really scary." I sigh in relief and i nod," yep, thats just another day for me, just glad i got there in time, i just need a moment to breathe, running that fast takes a fair bit out of me-" " and it gives me the time to make sure you two don't go anywhere" i turn and i see robotnik, i push rainbow behind me and i shover her the bag of rings, softly saying," Go, he can't get those emeralds, i'll distract him, i just need you to fly" she nods," what about you?" I push her softly," Fly dash, fly" she takes off with a burst of rainbow and i bristle my quills," what do you want robotnik? This isn't your usual game." "Smart aren't we? Well the 6 you seem to have met are extremely powerful, they're the strongest this world has to offer except you, so i figured capturing the fastest would be easy, except you've only been moments away to help, and i need you out of my way." He pulls out a small pistol and i get going to run and before i have the time to build up speed i get hit in the leg with a bang and he drops his magic, the pistol returning to its hold and i pull out the dart, trying to run, the extremely strong tranqulizer coursing through me," Rainbow, please be safe" i manage to light up my quills, enough to send the message i need before falling asleep.
Applejack's pov
I notice that the quill is glowing weakly, yet it was pulsing brightly as rainbow dash crashes outside, rushing to get up and i head outside, noticing lash's pouch is around her neck," Lash is in trouble, there was this pony controlling these strange egg shapped drones, and she seemed to reconize him instantly, and gave me her pouch, saying that i had to fly with everything i had." "What did he look like?" I ask," tan pony that was really pudgy around the center, he had this crazy mustache, he didn't have a mane, and his tail is really short, his cutie mare looked like two wrenches and one of her quills in the center." I gasp, reconizing the description," that was her rival, robotnik, no wonder she sent you ahead, her quill is weak, but it's pulsing. I think its a warning of some kind." The pouch starts shaking and dash sets it down, opening it and a ring flies out, opening and a group of several hedgehogs, a fox, a rabbit and a echidna step through and a black hedgehog with gold stripped quills that are kinked upward in the middle asks," Wheres lash? And why is she giving out a message to stay away?"
