Lash's pov
A week slowly passed and the day that Rainbow gets the splint off came. error summons a chaos spear and shoots it, maddie being quick to scold him but i just giggle." You ready to try to fly?" Ranbow nods," i guess here we go." We head outside, her spreading her large, rainbow tipped wings barely brushing her flight feathers, pushing off, it not being enough and she crashes with a groan, getting back up and i say," try pushing off harder, your used to much smaller wings, so you didn't have to use much force to fly. I found the same problem when i was running as a child, it took alot to get going, but once i was going, i was gone." She nods," ok, thanks Lash" she gears up again, this time breaking into a run and leaping up, flapping hard serveral times but levels off. staying in the air and i whoop, laughing as i leap a bit up, landing easily and breaking into a run, my blur racing after me as electricity floods through me. She laughs, spinning through the air and i leap into the air, my speed carrying me up and i land on Rainbow's back, laughing and she laughs, rolling and flinging me off, me curling up into a ball but then i feel her catch me and i uncurl from my ball state." You good?" I smile and nod," that was actually fun, but hey, you can fly again" we touch down and i leap off. "Yeah, i can't wait to show Twilight this new look" i smile." Now come on, lets see how well Double Boost works." She spreads her wings and takes off, and I race off after her, each of our paces coming to match. Almost instantly the rush of the boost hits and i whoop as we speed up, flying past Green Hills, before we both turn back and we stop at the house, me panting as we stop and rainbow touches down, closing her wings.
A few days pass and i stop at our temorary home, smiling as my blur halts, feeling the wave of wind blow through my quills. An icy feeling chills its way through my back, making me frown. Rainbow flys down and notices me, softly landing," you ok?" I nod," yeah, just a chill down my spines, whats up?" "The others sent me to come get you, aparently they planned a suprise party, didn't tell me what it was for." I smile brightly, the chill forgotten for now as i race off in a burst of sound. Rainbow dash takes off and i race through Green Hills, stopping in a clearing and i smile,seeing the whole group in front of me. I look up to see a banner, writen out on it" Happy Birthday" and i chuckle, smiling brightly as i hug the guys and error chuckles, refusing to hug back with a smirk that reached his eyes. I then leap up and high five Donut Lord, laughing as i grab a donut. For hours the party goes on, all of us having fun. Sunset starts to fall when i feel a freezing chill in my spines again and i turn, seeing a massive purple portal open up and i call out," anyone who can fight! Defend, but Error with me!" A strange creature floats out of the portal, looking like a form of Shadow and Clockwork. I pull out my electricity, it flowing over my quills and error does the same, bright blue and blood red electricity shining in arcs around us as the creature roars and the winds around us rage and i realize that the others are having to hold on as the table starts flying into the air and rainbow holds tight to tom and maddie and i manage to grab onto Sans and Papyrus before they blow away, but i feel my feet slipping, i can't hold on as my feet slip out from under me, icy winds slow me down as i watch my friends fly through the portal, tears streaming down my eyes as i look to error, him having grabbed onto my arm while his other arm is in the ground, i grip on tight to him, and i can see the terror as he pulls me down and he has me grab on while he spears deep into the ground and he ties my leg around a deep root." I can't hold on Lash, but you gotta hold on, hold onto hope, we'll wait for you, we trust you. And if all goes wrong, at least we can see Sky again." I cry, hugging error." I will error, be safe" he nods as i let go and so does he, flying through the dark portal and the creature retreats, the cold becoming so much that i pass out when i hit the ground.
