Cursing under my breath, I tapped my foot on the floor of the elevator, impatient to get out. By the time I made it to my car, my phone started ringing and I knew another headache was coming my way. Picking up the call from John, one of my producers, I was instantly greeted with an avalanche.

"What's this now, Scar? How can this keep happening, it's the third time in a row Goddammit! And this time, he was the main actor! What are you going to do now? Once the others get hold of this news, we're all doomed. You and me both!!"

"Can't you start your sentence with a simple good morning? That really helps with the stress, you know? As for him, I'm glad he left. If he's already so bloody weak, I don't think I would have resisted in throwing him out of the play myself. And as far as the investors are concerned, let's have a meeting today and settle this with them. It's only right that they get mad, but we will need another person to play the lead and start the practice right away. There isn't any time left now."

There was complete silence on the other side for a few seconds which made me doubt if he had already hung up on me, but that wasn't the case.

"Hello? You there, John?"

"Ye– yeah, I heard you. It's just, you're way too confident right now." He finally expressed his inner thoughts, making me roll my eyes silently.

The drama queen this man was.

"Why? Did you expect me to be miserable? You know how I feel about such things – problems are meant to be dealt with, not to be moped over."

"I know exactly how you feel, but it's just that, whenever I see you in action, it gives me life. I don't know how you will take on a board of seven producers for the play, but your tone and stance is already filling me with confidence. I really hope they don't crush you today, hun. Have a good day, see you later."

"Later," I promised him and hung up.

Throwing the phone harshly to the backseat of my Mercedes Benz, I slumped in my seat. The morning hadn't even fucking started and someone had already created chaos. I had only been confident in front of John, but I too knew the reality. Those people didn't like me from the start and have been waiting for a golden opportunity like this. This is going to become the biggest thorn in my plans of creating the grandest play ever. With a massive production and sublime materials, this was supposed to be the best in my career, but just then, someone had to be unprofessional and leave me hanging. Again.

Staring at the little bit of sun peeking out of the stubborn clouds of London, I gave another sigh before strapping on my seat belt and starting the car. I could do all of this thinking at home too.

As I stopped at a red light, my phone buzzed again. It took me a minute to locate my phone again, which was hidden under a huge pile of clothes strewn over the backseat by someone, someone who was calling and was about to be murdered for littering my car.

"Can't you clean up after yourself? And who the hell does use the car's backseat as a dressing room?" I bellowed on the phone but only got a soft, elegant as hell laugh.

"You're really cheery this wonderful morning, aren't you? Can I know the cause of this distress?" She replied as cheerfully as ever.

"Asher quit his job. And I don't have a male lead now." I told her truthfully, not wanting to keep it in any longer.

My comment was followed by another short silence and then, a loud laugh which turned into a full blown laughter session. I scowled at her invisible face as I imagined how annoying she must look right now as she laughed her ass off at me.

"You– haha.... you managed to chase away another one? Already? Oh God, this is so hilarious. Why can't you work at a prison huh? I swear anyone who meets you once would want to become a better person, just so they don't have to see you again." She joked, making me clench my teeth.

"Wow, you're such a genius. Now, shut up and tell me why did you call?" I snapped at her but she still kept laughing. Bitch.

"Nothing really, just to check up on you. But thank God I did call, because I could never get a better news than this."

I scowled again but she spoke up again, "Don't worry Scar, you will be fine. I know you can take on all these stupid people, and this shouldn't be such a boulder in your way, maybe a little thorn? Whatever, it's not my thing to be literary, so just go there and kill it. Okay?"

I smiled a small smile, knowing she wouldn't be here to see it, and replied quietly, "Yeah, I'll go kill them. Talk to you later."

"Let's meet up tonight." She proposed, but I shook my head.

"Not tonight, only when I get a new actor for the play. Let's go out then."

"Okay, deal. Bye, love you!!"

"Love you too."

I really hope I can get a new actor before our three months are over.
