He was terrified of small places, cupboards, crowded elevators, and so on. Unfortunately, she knew that. Perhaps that is why she had locked him in the chest instead of tying him up with the others. The darkness was eating away at the air inside the confined space. Desperately he beat his hands against the lid, hoping somebody would let him out. His throat was already hoarse from yelling. Closing his eyes, he forced himself to take slow deep breaths, trying to block out the panic that was threatening to overwhelm his brain. He should not have told her that he was scared of small spaces. They should not have tried to kill her either but that was harder said than done.
